Unscented-Chapter 1198 - 1140 Kid Has A Fever
Linda was very worried at the hospital. All she could do was a little.
The doctor had diagnosed the kids and he kept asking for their mother.
Linda had tried calling Melissa for a while. She couldn’t get through.
Finally, she got through to her and she said she would be there very soon.
Melissa finally arrived at the hospital. She saw her kids. They really looked sick. It was clearly written on their faces that they were going through pains.
Melissa sighed. She felt very sad. Despite how much she fought back tears. She finally started crying.
"Do not worry" Linda consoled her. "They will be okay. The doctor is just waiting for you to tell you some things" she urged her.
"This is a serious illness. This isn’t any fever. My kids are in pain" she sobbed. She brought out her phone and tried to call Murray. She couldn’t get through.
"He needed to be here" she tried calling him again and it was still the same thing.
She went to see the doctor right away. The doctor was waiting for her.
"Ma’am l, I have been expecting you" he welcomed her.
"You are not attending to my kids. They are very sick please" Melissa didn’t give an ear to what the doctor was saying.
"You have to calm down ma’am" the doctor tried to calm her.
"They are in pain. Just come and attend to them" she insisted.
"Actually, we have administered some analgesic to them. But their fever is a serious one. All you need to do is to allow us do an infusion on them before it will be too late. And once it get too late. It will affect their tender lungs" the doctor explained word for word. "That’s why we are waiting for you to get your decision" he concluded.
"Do whatever you need to do to make them healthy. I can’t bear seeing them this way" she wailed.
"If that is the case, you will have to sign this that you agreed to it" he handed her a document.
Melissa took it and signed it right away.
"What next? You should start treating them" she said impatiently.
"Yes of course, ma’am. I have compiled this prescription. All you have to do is get all of them immediately and we will prepare for the infusion. I assure you they will be well once we do this" he seemed confident.
Melissa rushed to get the prescription. She made sure she got everything within little period of time.
She came back and handed the prescription to the nurses in charge. They prepared the infusion for the children.
But there was another problem, the kids were resisting
"My baby, you have to take this so you can start playing in the next two days. Just stay calm. It isn’t going to hurt" Melissa persuaded her kid.
"Don’t let them do this to me, I will get better" the kid pleaded with his tiny voice.
"It isn’t going to be painful, I promise you" Melissa assured the kids.
The infusion was started but the kids still didn’t stop resisting it. They didn’t want it.
"You two you have to be brave and keep quiet. There are many children that needed to sleep here. I’m very sure you wouldn’t want to stop them from their calm sleep" Melissa comforted them again
She went back out to call Murray. She couldn’t reach him yet. So she left a message for him.
She wondered what might have caused that. It was unusual of him not to receive his calls.
Melissa remembered that he had a meeting but no meeting should stop him from making calls. She kept trying his phone. She decides not to stop until she had made the call through to him.
She became tired. She really needed his presence badly right now. He would be able to persuade the children from crying and resisting. He would also comfort Melissa. She had been worked up.
Melissa went back in and she met the kids crying and trying to stop the infusion like before.
Linda and the nanny were struggling to keep both of them in control.
She knew it wouldn’t be this hard if Murray was around.
The nanny was obviously tired from what the kids had made her pass through. She was a fairly old woman and she always carried out a lot chores in the house.
She really needed to rest. She also had her own family to take care of.
"Has he answered the call?" Linda asked immediately she caught a hold of Melissa’s sight.
"No. But I left a message. I’m sure he will call when he sees it" Melissa was only trying to console herself. She was not sure about that.
"He will. He loves his kids very much. He would have been here if he knows what is going on" Linda smirked.
"Mrs Gibson" Melissa addressed the nanny. "You are very tired. The kids must have troubled you a lot" she said pitifully.
"I’m used to it" the nanny smiled. "That’s how all kids do" she concluded.
"You can go home, I will call you tomorrow" she said sternly.
"With Mr Murray, not yet back. You are going to need my help" the nanny moaned in pain and held her waist before she could finish her sentence.
"You see, you are tired. You have to rest. I will call you tomorrow" Melissa said to her.
The nanny sighed. She must have felt relieved.
"Thank you ma’am" she appreciated and left.
Linda was still busy with the kids. She was doing a good job calming them down.
Melissa was also tired but there was no time for her to rest right now.
She delved into the doctor’s office.
"What can else can I do for my kids to make them better?" she questioned with teary eyes.
"The infusion is going to bring about a great result. Just be patient" he persuaded her.
"But they are not taking it properly" she complained.
"That doesn’t mean. It will work fine" he assured her once again.
"So after the infusion, what else can I give to them?" she asked intensely.
"I will give you a list, they should become healthier before the end of this week" the doctor nodded.
