Chapter 1192: Chapter 1134 Got Fined

Anthony remained on the floor. His employees were standing all around him. All efforts to console him was proving abortive.

"How do you expect me to get five hundred million dollars?" she questioned those consoling him. "If everything in this company is liquidated, we can’t raise fifty million dollars and we have to pay ten times of that" he cried.

"No, no, no" the secretary shook her head while staring at the computer screen.

"What happened?" Anthony asked. He believed it could never get worse than this.

He would lose the company. That was sure.

"It is Mr. Bradley. He just sent me a mail. I have forwarded it to your office" she related sadly.

Mr Bradley was the richest investor in Anthony’s company. He trusted the company so much that he had funds with them without an agreement.

He must have caught the wave of the trending news

"What did he say?" Anthony couldn’t afford going into his office before getting the message.

"He said he has some dormant funds with us. And now that the government bodies will confiscate everything we have. He will have no choice than to relieve you of your personal properties" she related to him.

"He can’t do that. Business is different from personal life" Anthony paused briefly. "My personal properties, my house my cars" he muttered to himself. "No way, that can’t happen" he insisted. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

"He said you gave him your word to do so 8f something like this ever happened" 5ge secretary added.

"That doesn’t count in court. He can’t strip everything off me, can he?" he directed the question to no one in particular.

There were noises coming from outside.

"What’s happening, someone should check" he yelled at his employee.

No one answered him.

That was when he calmed down and studied what was going on. They were packing, leaving the office.

"I’m talking to you, I’m your boss" he screamed.

"That was when we have a job" some of them murmured.

"This company has not folded up yet and it won’t" he said angrily and peeped outside to see what was going on outside.

There were lot of people and journalists clamoring for news.

"Why are they here? We know we have already lost a lot. What else is there to talk about?" Anthony was shaking. He dare not go out to meet them.

"You still believe this company can survive this, then tell it to them" one of his employees teased him before heading out.Melissa had called a meeting. Her launch on Anthony’s Company was successful. She had edged him out of being a competitor to their company.

She was not satisfied yet. Anthony company had collapsed with Melissa giving them a dose of their own poison.

Melissa did not see it as victory yet. She believed it could only be called triumph when Murray’s company had benefited from Anthony’s loss.

"We need to continue where we stop on the issue of Anthony’s company" she told the congregation.

"Continue what?" one of the staffs questioned. "Anthony’s company has already been shattered. That’s enough punishment for what they did to us" he explained.

"We are not victorious yet. Anthony’s company can live through this phase. If it gain footing again. What do you think will be the first thing they will do. They will surely come after us" Melissa professed.

"And then we would have known how to protect ourselves from them" another staff countered her.

It seemed they were not going to support her in this.

She had also decided not to stop until she convinced them.

"All I need you to do is to be more vigilant. We need more of their secrets. With that we can stand to benefit some things when they start liquidating their asset" she said with smiles to entice them.

"I think the best thing to do is to forget about Anthony’s company and focus on ourself now" the sales manager was also not supporting her in this.

"We are on the brink of collapse. We are in a financial crisis. I am always focus on us. I just noticed Anthony’s company might be an opportunity to gain power quickly" she continued. She believed they would support her if she gave them enough reasons.

"You are only looking at the bright side. Regulatory bodies must not know about what we have done already. We should keep it like that. If we make a move and they discover us. We may go down with Anthony’s company" another staff said with fear.

"Can anybody tell me how we can recover quickly if we do not employ these tactics?" she asked them and looked round.

The people present at the meeting had obviously made their decision and they wouldn’t change it

"And about regulatory bodies knowing about this. Only one person can report us to them, Anthony and he will never fare to do that" she ascertained.

"Honestly, I think you want to destroy Anthony more than you want to revive our company" the sales manager said with a challenging voice.

This wasn’t what Melissa expected. She thought the staffs would receive her idea with open arms but they were trying to shove it back her throat.

She couldn’t do anything without them. She would either carry them along or join them.

"All of what I’m saying germinated in my mind due to the love I have for this company. And I do not think us as a winner if we do not gain anything from Anthony’s company" she confessed. "And I was expecting you all to support me so that Anthony won’t be able to turn the table" she added.

"We are sorry, ma’am" the sales manager apologized. "Anthony has a lot of employees and some of them are good people. The only thing that would provide them their benefits is this liquidation that you wanted us to hijack" he explained slowly.

"Like the sales manager said, we should consider the employees that were working with integrity. What if we are the ones in this situation?" another staff added.

Melissa couldn’t say anything anymore. That would just make the staffs see her as an inconsiderate boss.
