Unscented-Chapter 1175 - 1117 Jump Off A Building
"What happened?" Murray, wearing casual clothes, asked right away.
"I don’t know what’s going on. I just saw the report and knew that there seemed to be netizens attacking Shayna that made her depressed," Melissa replied while pulling whatever clothes she could pull out from the closet.
Murray was starting to do the same thing. Once done, Melissa tried to call Shayna twice, but Shayna didn’t answer. It made Melissa worry even more. The two drove fast to the scene and asked other people. As expected, Shayna couldn’t stand what the netizens were saying about her and was ready to jump off the building.
"Hello, I’m a friend of Shayna. Can I go upstairs and talk to her? I’ve understood what happened. It was all because of these netizens. Maybe I could loosen her heart and make her come down."
Hearing Melissa’s words, the staff thought it was highly possible. Many people committed suicide because they couldn’t take things too hard. The staff took Murray and Melissa to the rooftop.Shayna was sitting there, looking depressed. Melissa couldn’t tell her mood but she was still crying.
"Shayna, what are you doing? Come down. I can’t find you at home. Why are you here? Let’s go home!"
When Shayna saw Melissa, she was even sadder than before. It was because Melissa ran up in a hurry and looked very pale. She hadn’t fully recovered, and now she looked even more miserable. Shayna, with tears on her, said, "I’m a jinx. I don’t know myself. I shouldn’t have been with you. If I had known the result earlier, you wouldn’t have lost your child. Now I know my who I am. I can’t delay you anymore. I can’t bring bad luck to friends around me. I have to die to correct all of this."
Melissa frowned at Shayna’s words. She didn’t believe in superstition. What’s more, without Shayna, she couldn’t get out of the mental depression.
"What are you talking about? We have been together for so many years. How can I not know who you are? I don’t know who spread the rumors that you are a jinx. I think they are the jinx! "Besides, we don’t believe these things at all. Come down quickly. Let’s go home together. Don’t forget that you are pregnant."
Shayna laughed bitterly and shook her head. When Melissa was about to go to her, Shayna stopped her.
"Don’t come. I am just a jinx. I want to apologize to you. Everything happened because of me. Now I want to atone with my own death. I hope you can forgive me."The look on Shayna’s face was a little sad. The other staff walked slowly from the side to the place near Shayna. But she didn’t dare to make a move. Seeing this scene, Melissa knew that she needed to continue to comfort Shayna, and then create opportunities for the other staff to rescue her.
"Do you know how much you have helped me in the past? How can I get out of trouble without you? You said you were a jinx, but I think you are a lucky star? If it weren’t for you, how could me and Murray got back together? And how could I get my children back? Can’t all these prove that you are my best friend?"
Shayna hesitated. But then she seemed to be more determined. She didn’t blame Melissa. She only blamed herself. No matter what the reason was, she had no other way back to where she was now. She just felt that she would be relieved after jumping down.
"Stop it. You have helped me so much. I have been reflecting on myself all the time. I think I am a jinx, and I am the source of bad luck! Now these netizens have put me in the center of the storm, and I have no chance to go back. No matter what you say, today I will tell them that I am not a jinx!"
Shayna was incoherent and absent-minded. She said she was a jinx, and then she said she was not. She said that she didn’t blame Melissa, and that she had to die to prove her innocence. In short, her nonsense made everyone very worried. But the staff had slowly approached Shayna. When Melissa attracted Shayna’s attention, the staff rushed over and saved Shayna.
Shayna looked straight and didn’t know what she was doing, as if she was suffering from a nervous breakdown.
Melissa took Shayna to the hospital in a hurry.
"Murray, Shayna has been hurt so much. If we continue not taking actions, who can help Shayna? Now we have to collect evidence to clarify for Shayna, just like what we have done before."
Melissa couldn’t sit still any longer. She looked at Shayna, who was receiving treatment inside, sitting there in a daze, as if she was a walking dead. She felt sorry for her. She knew that the result was caused by these netizens, and they came to know the news late. She could no longer keep herself silent.
"I’m going to hold a press conference. I’ll explain everything. You’d better have a good rest at home. You haven’t fully recovered yet."
Melissa shook his head resolutely. Nothing will happen if she would only stay at home.
"No, it’s my best friend’s. And I’m involved in it. I can’t let myself be like this. I have to take some actions."
