Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 276 Unity
At this moment, Hu Yang and Wei Jialin were walking toward the door when two of Lei Ying's Special Forces members also strode forward. They were new faces in the unit, but their strength was unquestionable.
With four people crowding the doorway, the space inevitably felt cramped.
After all, Hu Yang and Wei Jialin had started walking first. If the two from Lei Ying had been a step slower, none of this would have happened.
However, the two men rudely shoved their way through, their attitude infuriating.
Hu Yang and Wei Jialin were not the type to let such a slight slide, especially when the reputation of the SEALs was on the line.
With that thought, Wei Jialin suddenly exerted her strength.
Caught off-guard, one of the Lei Ying members was shoved aside. He stumbled back several steps, nearly falling to the ground.
The man's face flushed red, his eyes instantly filling with rage.
Meanwhile, the other Lei Ying member still in the doorway scowled. He hadn't expected someone from the SEALs to be so brazen on their turf—it was utterly arrogant!
But did he conveniently forget who started this by being rude and unreasonable?
"What the hell are you doing?!" Cui Hongyu shouted, his gaze locked on Wei Jialin.
"Hmph, what are we doing? What are *you* trying to do?" Wei Jialin snorted coldly, glaring back at Cui Hongyu.
"You're too arrogant! Are you asking for a beating?!" Wen Jianchao, the one who had been pushed aside by Wei Jialin, yelled.
"Asking for a beating? Just the two of you?" Hu Yang sneered, his annoyance clear in his eyes.
"That's right! Just us is enough to beat you!" With that, Wen Jianchao stepped forward and threw a punch at Hu Yang's head.
Seeing this, Hu Yang just sneered. He was more than prepared.
Hu Yang sidestepped in a flash, causing Wen Jianchao's punch to whistle past. In that same moment, Hu Yang shot out a fist of his own, aiming for Wen Jianchao's abdomen.
Hu Yang's movements were incredibly fast, his punch both fierce and ruthless, startling Wen Jianchao.
However, Wen Jianchao was also an expert. He twisted his body sharply, narrowly avoiding Hu Yang's fist. At the same time, he used his rotation to unleash a vicious roundhouse kick at Hu Yang's waist.
Hu Yang's expression flickered. He retreated slightly, dodging the powerful kick.
Just then, Cui Hongyu also made his move, swinging his fist hard at Wei Jialin's chest.
Wei Jialin gave a cold laugh. She didn't dodge or evade, instead throwing a punch of her own to meet his head-on.
THUD!
A dull impact sound echoed. Wei Jialin took a single step back, while Cui Hongyu stumbled back several paces.
Clearly, in a direct clash of strength, he was no match for Wei Jialin.
I'm no match for her. The thought made Cui Hongyu's face flush a deep red, his eyes burning with anger.
"Alright, you brat, watch how I deal with you!" Cui Hongyu yelled, his face beet-red as he charged forward again.
Just as the four of them were about to clash again, a sharp voice cut through the tension. "Enough! All of you, stop!"
With the shout, a figure strode out swiftly. The newcomer was none other than Kang Cheng, the leader of Lei Ying.
Hearing Kang Cheng's command, Cui Hongyu and Wen Jianchao's expressions soured, but they quickly stopped fighting and retreated to stand beside him. At that moment, Lin Kuang and the others also appeared beside Hu Yang and Wei Jialin. The two groups now faced each other, one just inside the cafeteria entrance and one just outside.
"Hu Yang, Wei Jialin, my apologies," Kang Cheng said, walking toward the pair with an apologetic smile. "These two are new and don't know any better. Please don't take it to heart. Do it for my sake."
Hu Yang and Wei Jialin weren't inclined to just let it go, but since Kang Cheng, the leader of Lei Ying, had put it that way, they had to honor his request.
But just as they were about to reply, Cui Hongyu and Wen Jianchao rushed forward, their faces flushed as they shouted in unison, "Captain!"
"Get back!" Kang Cheng ordered, turning to them with an icy expression and a cold tone.
Hearing his words, Wen Jianchao and Cui Hongyu clenched their fists, retreating to the side with red faces. However, as they looked at Hu Yang and Wei Jialin, their eyes were filled with rage and even a faint hint of killing intent.
"Captain Kang, we truly respect Lei Ying," Hu Yang said coolly, his tone clearly displeased. "But we're disappointed to see that Lei Ying has members like this. We'll let this matter go, but we hope you'll discipline them properly."
Kang Cheng simply smiled and nodded, agreeing to the request. He didn't say anything more about Hu Yang and Wei Jialin's anger. Although he knew his own men were in the wrong, they were still his men.
Seeing this, Hu Yang and Wei Jialin said nothing more and started walking into the cafeteria.
Just then, Lin Kuang stepped forward.
Hu Yang and Wei Jialin couldn't help but stop, their eyes fixing on Lin Kuang. They had no idea what he was about to do.
Kang Cheng had thought the matter was settled. But now, this man he didn't recognize had stepped forward, leaving him puzzled.
Lin Kuang fixed his gaze on Kang Cheng and smiled. "Captain Kang, hello. I am Lin Kuang, the instructor of the SEALs." He gave a salute as he spoke.
Kang Cheng was taken aback for a moment before quickly returning the salute. "So, it's Instructor Lin. Hello."
"Hello, Captain Kang," Lin Kuang said with another smile. "My team members got a little carried away just now. I hope you don't mind."
"Ah, it's no problem. It was just a minor incident, a little friction. No worries at all," Kang Cheng replied with a smile, though he suspected Lin Kuang had more to say.
"Yes, it's a small matter. We're all soldiers, full of pride and vigor, so it's natural to be competitive. However, Captain Kang, let me remind you of one thing. Competitions, rivalries, even fights—none of that is a problem.
"But just now, your team members were looking at my men with killing intent. I want to make it clear that we are not enemies. We are rivals in a competition, nothing more! If you want to kill someone, you should direct that intent toward our nation's enemies, toward the scum of society, not at your own comrades!
"We are all soldiers—soldiers of Hua Country. I hope none of you ever forget that. Our goal is unity, to stand together against any outside threats!"
Lin Kuang spoke with grave sincerity, his gaze traveling past Kang Cheng to land squarely on Cui Hongyu and Wen Jianchao.
Hearing his words and meeting his gaze, Cui Hongyu and Wen Jianchao's faces flushed red with a mixture of shame and rage. They glared at Lin Kuang, their eyes burning with fury. They hadn't really heard a word he said.
He's just here to humiliate us!
The thought enraged them, and they shot Lin Kuang a look of undisguised hostility.
