Actually, Fiona Dunn regretted it a bit, she had been opposing Seraphina Sinclair just to get her attention.

She didn’t know Seraphina had gone through so much, if she had known earlier, she probably wouldn’t have been giving her so much trouble.

The auction soon reached its conclusion, everyone including Seraphina had bought something, nothing was too expensive, the most pricey being the ruby brooch Seraphina spent three million on.

After the auction ended, they went backstage to pay, coincidentally running into Eric Holt who came to pay.

He walked straight towards Seraphina, stood in front of her, and greeted with a wicked smile: "Are you Seraphina Sinclair?"

"Yes." Seraphina replied graciously, saying no more.

"Grandma always mentions you, I thought you might be some kind of exceptional beauty, but it seems otherwise." Eric scrutinized Seraphina from top to bottom, and at last let out a light snort, apparently not impressed with her looks.

Not much at all?

Rosalie nearly laughed out of anger, ready to argue with Eric.

But Seraphina stopped her, then smiled at Eric with a poised demeanor: "If I couldn’t meet Young Master Holt’s standards, that’s my problem. But for Young Master Holt to be so confrontational, it’s probably a family upbringing issue, wouldn’t you say?"

Eric raised an interested eyebrow, despite being scolded about his upbringing, he was more intrigued by Seraphina, nodding slightly with a faint smile: "You’re chastising me?"

"I wouldn’t dare say such things lightly, you’re the second young master of the Fairchild Family, how would I dare insult you? Surely, it’s that your hearing isn’t too well, you misunderstood." Seraphina curled her lips, smiling with concealed intent, that’s probably how the saying ’a smile holding a hidden dagger’ is best described.

Eric touched his chin, his grin growing wider, how did he not notice before how interesting this woman is?

"Seraphina Sinclair, you’re quite amusing, I’ll remember you."

After the group left, Eric licked his thin lips, lost in thought.

Once the crowd dispersed, a shadowy figure stood behind Eric, speaking in a frigid tone like a robot: "Young Master Holt, no action?"

"Forget it, I have my own plans." Eric waved, signalling the figure to vanish.

Seraphina returned home safely, but Quentin Jennings was uncertain about what to do next.

He rubbed his temples, pacing around Desmond Fairchild’s living room, looking quite tense: "What do you think Eric Holt is planning? He caused a big stir at the auction yesterday, I thought he would target her, but he didn’t? What on earth is he thinking?"

For a moment, Quentin couldn’t figure out Eric’s intentions, he put in so much effort yet plans to do nothing? Could it be just to regain the title of Fairchild Family’s young master?

He doesn’t believe it.

Desmond doesn’t believe it either.

"Back to Bayside City." Desmond suddenly stood up.

"We’re leaving now? What about the matters here?" Quentin felt it was a bit rushed.

Desmond answered as he got dressed: "Since Eric Holt is currently staying in Bayside City, matters here will indefinitely delay, we have to go back."

"Got it." Quentin said, immediately packing up for preparations.

Upon returning to Bayside City, Seraphina felt a sense of homecoming. The time spent on Diamond Island was enough, it was time to return to Bayside City.

After thinking it over, Seraphina instructed Camille White to wait for Jude Sinclair to return.

Only, she hadn’t properly bid farewell to Old Master White, which seemed a bit inconsiderate.

Kevin Group still needed her management, Ethan Lloyd and Melanie Lloyd had disappeared from view, compared to all the troublemakers on Diamond Island, this place promised to offer her some peace for a while.

But Seraphina was ultimately mistaken in her thinking.

She thought coming back to Bayside City would grant her a few days of undisturbed tranquility, until she began dealing with Kevin’s work, just as she started a new project, she found out the person responsible was Nina Kerr, that’s when she realized she was wrong.

It turns out, as soon as Camille brought Jude back, Nina promptly arrived in Bayside City, and became Seabrook Group’s general manager, also the project’s planning director and general manager.

"Seraphina, who would have thought we’d meet again, especially under these circumstances?" Nina elegantly sipped her coffee, looking relaxed.

Seraphina sat on the sofa, gazing at the woman in front of her, speaking slowly: "Indeed surprising, but also expected. Since you’re Seabrook’s project director, let us speak business, regarding this collaboration project, there’s still plenty of room for improvement, we can discuss it thoroughly today."

Nina said as she took out collaboration documents from her bag, placing them before Seraphina, "These are the documents for our project, everything including manpower, resources, and budgets are included, you can take a look."

Nearby are schools from primary to university, with convenient metro and transportation routes, developing it into school district housing is definitely worthwhile."

In terms of the project itself, Seraphina was in favor of this collaboration.
