Unexpected Marriage: She is the Sugar Mommy!-Chapter 277: Lost and Dispirited
Not just unhappy, but even deeply sad!
Rosalie Quinn is quite cheerful by nature, but even she finds dealing with Seraphina Sinclair very tricky.
Sitting on the garden swing, watching Seraphina not far away, sipping tea and teasing the birds, Rosalie said to Jude Sinclair, "Actually, don’t you think your mommy is doing quite well like this?"
"Godmother, are you serious?" Jude Sinclair rubbed his ear, unable to believe what he’d heard.
Rosalie Quinn rolled her eyes, "Jude, come here, I have something to discuss with you."
"What is it?" Jude Sinclair moved closer to Rosalie, puzzled.
"From my observations over the past two days, apart from grieving over losing the child, your mommy seems to be most concerned about your father’s affair." Rosalie, after all, had been friends with Seraphina Sinclair for years, and had a knack for such insights.
Rather than saying Seraphina is sad about the child, it’s more accurate to say she’s now disappointed in Desmond Fairchild.
Jude Sinclair understood this too.
Though he’s young, he’s not entirely clueless.
"So what should we do? At this rate, mommy will end up feeling terribly stifled." Seeing Seraphina like this made Jude Sinclair very upset.
"What can we do? We can only let things take their course. This is a heartache, and only a cure for the heart can heal it. Moreover, with your mommy and your daddy at odds like this, he probably doesn’t care about her well-being anymore." Rosalie Quinn was also at her wit’s end.
In this situation, unless Seraphina can figure things out herself, no one else can help her.
Yet Jude Sinclair had a different thought: "Isn’t Third Brother quite knowledgeable about psychology? If we reach out to Third Brother, might it..."
"Do you think your Third Brother hasn’t thought about this? If your mommy was willing, the problem would’ve been solved long ago! The issue is your mommy isn’t willing." Rosalie naturally understood what Jude meant.
But if Seraphina is unwilling, any psychological therapy would be ineffective.
Listening to their conversation, Fiona Dunn, who came to visit Seraphina, couldn’t help but mock, "Is this all you got? Haven’t you ever heard that the best way to move on from a past relationship is to start a new one?"
"If it really worked, would you need to worry?" Rosalie and Fiona had always disagreed, almost arguing every time they met.
"You won’t know if it works unless you try! You really haven’t changed, still as thoughtless as ever." Fiona couldn’t stand Rosalie’s lavish attitude. Every time she saw Rosalie, she argued even more fiercely than with Seraphina.
"Oh? So you’re confident in your approach? Why don’t you find a man to distract her?" Rosalie almost laughed, uninterested in Fiona’s naïve ideas.
Fiona herself was just a twenty-year-old kid; what did she know about love and relationships?
However, Fiona didn’t see it that way, thinking she had some wisdom in love affairs, so she was very confident: "Not far away, but right in front of us?"
Just then, Keith Hughes walked out from behind her and flashed a smile at Rosalie Quinn, "Rosalie, junior."
"Keith, senior?" Rosalie couldn’t believe she saw Keith Hughes at Diamond Island, thinking he was still in Bayside City. When did he come to Diamond Island? 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
Seeing him go straight to greet Seraphina, Rosalie was stunned and grabbed Fiona: "What’s going on here? Don’t tell me you planned this?"
"How could I possibly do that? Professor Hughes has always known Seraphina and has always had an interest in her. It’s just that Seraphina’s a bit dense, so she never noticed." Fiona quickly waved her hands; she didn’t have the ability to manipulate Keith Hughes.
"That part I know." Rosalie stroked her chin, "But Seraphina has no interest in Keith Hughes, so bringing him here won’t help."
