Staring down at Dilan's halved body, both Katja and Ben were unable to believe what had just happened.

"I…killed him?" Ben asked, his voice shuddering as he was trying to process what he missed out.

The Blood Orc Champion disappeared from his sight, the monster reappeared behind him and he reacted instantaneously to prevent any mishaps from occurring. He was supposed to take the Blood Orc Champion seriously, after all!

However, what he could have never expected was that Katja appeared in the Blood Orc Champion's hand, that the monster would use her as a human shield, or that Dilan would appear in between the heavy greatsword and the Blood Orc Champion's hand that held Katja.

He was cut in half, blood splattered everywhere and his intestines spilled out of his body…yet, Dilan continued to talk calmly, his upper body remaining on the broad blade of the heavy greatsword while his lower body slumped to the ground.

"I know that it's good to rely on your instincts and I would say that it was very good of you to react that quickly…but next time please try to figure out what…or who you're attacking before actually cutting through them, okay?" Dilan lectured Ben before he shook his head.

'Am I around amateurs or what?'

Dilan sighed as he turned his upper body to the Blood Orc Champion, who stared at him as shocked as the two human Demi Gods.

Dilan's upper body was scrapping over the heavy greatsword's blade and he acted as if getting cut in half was nothing special.

His expression was cold and there was not even a trace of fear in his eyes…Dilan was clearly a maniac!

There was simply no other explanation for the nonsense they witnessed just now.

But the battle was not over, not yet!

Confused and distracted by the nonchalantly moving upper body of the human, the Blood Orc Champion didn't move for a second or two.

These seconds were more than enough for Dilan to eliminate the Blood Orc Champion.

"As for you, ugly bastard…you should make sure that you know your opponent is dead, or entrapped without a way of escape, instead of looking blankly at a moving body…well one half of a body!" Dilan shouted toward the Blood Orc Champion while lifting his hand.

Oricalm changed its shape and a faint smile appeared on Dilan's face.

'Let's experiment a little bit with you!'

The Soul Weapon didn't even require a full second to take the shape Dilan desired. It was a shotgun, filled with bullets Dilan had created when Oricalm was still transforming.

"Burst!" Dilan shouted out loud, triggering the shotgun, and causing a huge explosion as air shards filled with the Power of Destruction were fired at a terrific speed. 𝑓𝒓𝚎e𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯𝘰𝐯𝒆𝑙.c𝚘m

The Blood Orc Champion was still distracted, unable to react in time and it could only perceive a glimpse of the shards that pierced deep into the head of the monster.

Unleashing the Berserk Roar, the Blood Orc Champion caused terror within the hearts of the human Ascenders while the shards that were filled with the power of Destruction dug deeper into its skull.

However, Dilan was not yet done. The second experiment was just getting started!

Oricalm was changed back into the Desert Eagle shape and a hollow air bullet which Dilan filled with the Power of Destruction was created.

"Goodbye, idiot!" He declared while triggering the gun, releasing the bullet that ended the Blood Orc Champion's life. 𝒇𝑟e𝙚𝑤𝙚𝐛𝗻𝐨ν𝚎𝘭.c𝐨m

The bullet pierced through the monster's eye, bursting it apart before it followed up destroying the Orc's brain just a moment later.

Katja felt that the Orc's grasp around her loosened and she tried to free herself before the Orc would collapse, but she was too late. The life in the Orc's remaining eye dissipated in an instant and the Blood Orc Champion was not even able to move one last time before it collapsed lifelessly on the ground.

Meanwhile, Dilan dived down from the heavy greatsword that had begun to tremble as Ben lost control of his gigantification ability. He deflated once again and was about to rush toward Dilan, in the hope to saving him, even if he had no idea how.

But what he saw when he found Dilan was even more shocking than the fact that he had halved his own comrade.

"You…are fine?" Ben rubbed his eyes, not believing what he was seeing. Dilan's blood was still splattered everywhere, yet, his body was unscathed. There was not even a single scratch around the area where he had been cut in half…only his broken armor and torn shirt were signs that Ben was not dreaming.

"Of course, I am fine… did you want that I die?" Dilan asked, slightly serious but somewhat teasing as he smirked lightly.

Oricalm had already returned to the shape of a ring and Dilan turned around to look at how Katja was faring.

The Archer was still a little shocked, but she was trying her utmost to escape the grasp of the now-dead Blood Orc Champion.

"No no no…it's good that you're fine…that's very good!!!" Ben said hurriedly while feeling that death was approaching him. He threw a glance back and saw that he was getting stared at by most of Dilan's comrades.

"But…can you take care of your friends? I mean…I didn't intend to attack you…let alone split you apart…" The Berserker's voice was shaking, overwhelmed by what he had just witnessed.

Dilan could somehow understand that it was a little bit too much to witness how someone returned from death after getting split apart…though he was never actually dead.

Furthermore, Ben, Katja, and Nicolas had no idea what his Origin ability was, let alone what it was capable of.

Dilan looked to the others motioning his hand to tell them that he was perfectly fine.

"The others won't harm you. That's given because we need every bit of strength to survive and strive for more…Either way, pay more attention to your attacks next time. Katja cannot heal herself as I can!" He told the Berserker before he stored the corpse of the Blood Orc Champion in his storage ring.

He jumped into the air and landed on a branch high at a high altitude.

His eyes moved through the surrounding area, a heavy sigh escaping his lips.

Something was terribly wrong with the Blood Orc Champions!

Dilan was putting together the pieces he had already gathered, but there were still a few missing pieces to construct the big picture.

'Why are lone Blood Orc Champions attacking us, instead of big hunting groups…and what are those abilities? Different types of teleportation…or was that spatial magic? The Blood Orc Champion cannot wield Spatial magic though. His Essence Crystal shows no signs of the spatial attribute…'

Too many questions lingered in Dilan's head, with the biggest one being how the hell it was possible for a Tier-4 existence to overwhelm so many Demi Gods, so easily at that.

Was the quality of Demi Gods so much worse than he had expected, especially his friends who didn't even react after they perceived the Blood Orc Champion, two times at that, or is there something else Dilan missed out on?

It could be both or none of that…

It was also possible that the monsters in the Gate were simply too strong…that all of them were anomalies.

But how likely was that?
