Undead Mage: I Have a Skeleton Clone-Chapter 464 - 339: Why Should the King Act? Enslave Verus!
However, judging from No. 1 Team’s recent encounter, even though No. 1 Giant Shield was defeated, its Bone Shield—which had seemed incredibly fragile to Fang Zhou—still managed to block several shots from the Mutated Skeleton Divine Archer.
Fang Zhou could kill enemies as weak as his own skeleton underlings in a single, all-out strike.
This means that compared to my Skeleton Clone, this rare Mutated Skeleton Divine Archer’s combat power is still far inferior to my own.
In any case, this Skeleton Divine Archer is already meat in my bowl. There’s no way it’s escaping.
Without hesitation, Fang Zhou gave the order. Over a dozen Skeleton Teams scattered in all directions swiftly responded, weaving through the withered bones and corpses like shadows as they converged on their common target.
At the same time, Fang Zhou quickly absorbed the prey lying scattered at his feet, then strode toward the site where No. 1 Team had perished.
Tidamia, serving as the vanguard, was the first to reach the designated observation point.
It used the withered hills and scattered white bones for cover, watching the battlefield from a distance.
There, the Mutated Skeleton Divine Archer was frantically devouring the remains of the No. 1 Skeleton Squad.
Perhaps it was overconfidence or an extreme thirst for power, but the Mutated Skeleton Divine Archer seemed somewhat careless with its Perception.
Although it sensed something when Tidamia spied on it from afar, it did not react immediately.
It merely swept a cold gaze around with its hollow, greed-filled eye sockets before continuing to focus on its "feast."
Fang Zhou had chosen Tidamia as the sentinel for a good reason.
Tidamia’s strength was clearly weaker than the Mutated Skeleton Divine Archer’s. However, as long as it was careful with its blocks and maintained a certain distance, it wouldn’t be easily killed like an ordinary Skeleton Warrior.
Soon, the Skeleton Divine Archer finished absorbing the remains of the three members of No. 1 Skeleton Squad and turned to return to its small hill.
Fang Zhou ordered Tidamia to advance and probe its opponent.
Tidamia raised its Beheading Giant Sword, ready to block any incoming Arrows, and cautiously inched toward the Skeleton Divine Archer.
Once Tidamia was in range, the Skeleton Divine Archer wasted no time drawing its bow and loosing its Arrows.
WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH! A rapid volley of Arrows shot out.
Tidamia awkwardly swung its Beheading Giant Sword, blocking most of the bone Arrows.
Occasionally, an Arrow or two would pierce its Defense, but they only struck its hollow skeletal body and caused no damage.
Following Fang Zhou’s order, Tidamia sent a Taunt toward the Mutated Skeleton Divine Archer, then turned and ran.
Of course, Fang Zhou had issued this command to observe the Skeleton Divine Archer’s behavior patterns.
Sure enough, Tidamia’s Taunt caused the Mutated Skeleton Divine Archer’s Soul Fire to flicker. It then grabbed its large bow and gave chase.
Their speeds were about the same, although, strictly speaking, the Skeleton Divine Archer was slightly faster.
However, its accuracy dropped significantly while it was on the move.
Tidamia blocked a few shots before dodging the rest of the incoming Arrows.
Tidamia fled and the archer pursued. It seemed as if Tidamia had no chance of escape.
By this time, however, Fang Zhou had already arrived on the scene with several nearby Skeleton Squads.
He did not rush forward. Instead, he stood on a raised rock, his hollow eye sockets scrutinizing the battle between Tidamia and the Skeleton Divine Archer.
After the Skeleton Divine Archer had been lured a good distance from the hill, it seemed to come to its senses. It stared coldly at Tidamia posturing in the distance.
Then, it turned and headed back, no longer pursuing Tidamia.
A thoughtful gleam flashed in Fang Zhou’s eye sockets as he witnessed this.
So that hill is extremely important to the Skeleton Divine Archer. This just confirms my suspicions. There must be some kind of treasure or rare resource hidden in that hill, something vital for this mutated creature.
At this thought, a sinister smile curled on Fang Zhou’s lips as he tightened his grip on the Extremely Enhanced Corpse Long Spear.
I want the Mutated Skeleton Divine Archer. And I want the unknown resource in the hill, too.
Meanwhile, the dozen or so Skeleton Squads under Fang Zhou’s command had swiftly arrived at their designated positions.
Fang Zhou patiently directed his underlings to advance on the hill where the Skeleton Divine Archer was located. Moving in a fan-shaped formation, they slowly formed a tight encirclement.
Facing the steadily approaching enemies, the Mutated Skeleton Divine Archer appeared extremely tense.
It held its finely crafted Longbow aloft, its eye sockets darting between the enemy ranks as if ready to release a fatal Arrow at any moment.
However, thanks to Tidamia’s probing, Fang Zhou had already mastered the Skeleton Divine Archer’s maximum range.
Therefore, based on his precise calculations, all the Skeleton Squads remained just outside the Skeleton Divine Archer’s attack range.
Once everyone was in position, Fang Zhou’s gaze fell upon the most robust Giant Shield Skeleton in his forces.
He entered Meditation and activated the Berserker Heroic Spirit Mark, linking his soul to the Giant Shield Skeleton. As Energy gathered, a series of complex runes began to appear on the Giant Shield Skeleton’s bones, glimmering with a dazzling purple light.
