Undead Mage: I Have a Skeleton Clone-Chapter 432 - 320: Blood of the Brain Demon Derivative and the Gale Feather Messenger
A Brain Demon Derivative suddenly leaped from the shadows, attempting to deliver a fatal blow—a deathly kiss.
Luckily, Fang Zhou’s sharp intuition allowed him to activate his Skeleton Shield just in time, avoiding any damage.
However, the sudden attack still left his face covered in a sticky slime that made him extremely uncomfortable.
The slimy feeling on his face only deepened Fang Zhou’s disgust for these special and mutated demons.
Even under the protection of the Undead Sky Screen, he had still failed to evade the demons’ detection.
...
Outside, the spectating students were already laughing uproariously.
Fang Zhou always seemed so composed, yet now, his face was covered in slime.
This was the first time they had seen Fang Zhou in such a sorry state, and the scene was both comical and dramatic.
Just then, Liu Diewu’s voice rose above the noisy crowd. "I finally understand Fang Zhou’s plan," she said.
Her words immediately drew everyone’s attention. They all stopped laughing and turned to look at her.
"What?" Lu Renjia asked, clearly still puzzled about Fang Zhou’s intentions.
"Didn’t you notice?" Liu Diewu explained. "Fang Zhou is very systematic in clearing out the demons. I don’t know why he’s clearing a few demons here and a few more over there, but look. He’s even moving the stone pillars near the gate. It’s like he’s digging a pit."
Lu Renjia and the others followed her gaze to the light screen and saw that Fang Zhou was indeed busy at work.
He seemed to be adjusting the positions of certain objects, his movements both Skilled and purposeful.
"Are you saying Fang Zhou is already treating this place as a battlefield? That’s impossible. Look at this," Lu Yiyi said, lightly tapping the light screen to display the data.
"More than fifty students are already converging on his position. The closest thirty are already in this area, searching for him."
The spectating students gasped upon seeing these statistics.
The number was shocking, and it made them realize just how valuable the Portable Concentration Meditation Array was to the competitors.
Liu Diewu had mentioned Fang Zhou wanted to "dig a pit," but how exactly was he going to do it?
There were already fifty people, and with more on the way, the final number was unimaginable.
"Yes, we admit Fang Zhou is strong, but those competing students are no pushovers. Even if none of them are his match one-on-one, with these numbers, they can bury him," someone commented, their voice full of concern for the predicament Fang Zhou was about to face.
"Fang Zhou is playing with fire this time," another student lamented, clearly finding his actions unbelievable.
"It feels like he’s courting death, acting like he’s some kind of god," someone else echoed, their tone mocking.
"What are you whining about? Why were you so quiet when Fang Zhou was showing his incredible power earlier?"
In the face of skepticism, his supporters refused to back down.
The spectators’ section had devolved into chaos, a cacophony of overlapping voices.
"I know this sounds hard to believe, but just look at what he’s doing now," Liu Diewu said, pointing to Fang Zhou on the screen.
Everyone looked closely and saw Fang Zhou bustling about, apparently setting something up.
"Is he setting traps?" Lu Yiyi asked uncertainly, after a moment’s hesitation.
"Obviously, he’s setting traps," Lu Renjia mused, frowning. "But these traps have no Skill Effects. How useful can they possibly be?"
"That’s a question for Fang Zhou. Who can possibly guess what’s going on in his head?" Liu Diewu shook her head helplessly, her tone a mix of admiration and confusion.
"You see, he’s clearing demons from various locations. If he were simply farming points, he’d just do it in one place. Why is he running all over?
"Then, he made some simple traps, but they don’t seem to have any special purpose.
"Tell me, if this isn’t digging a pit, what is?"
"But this ’pit’ seems a little too big," Lu Yiyi said. "If he’s not careful, he’ll end up burying himself in it." Glancing at the time, she added, "He’s been preparing for half an hour. Others are already starting to catch up to his score."
"That just proves he’s planning something big," Liu Diewu said, her tone revealing a mix of tension and anticipation. "I smell blood in the water. Still, I find it hard to believe he can take on so many people."
"Let’s just watch and see."
A flicker of anticipation sparked within Lu Renjia.
It wasn’t just him; all the spectating students held their breath, eager to see if Fang Zhou could turn the tables and handle this massive crisis.
...
Inside the manor, Fang Zhou moved cautiously through its many corners.
He moved with extreme caution. Although the Brain Demon Derivatives posed little threat to him, he dared not let his guard down.
He had already cleared quite a few demons and set up some seemingly simple traps.
These traps lacked flashy Skill Effects, but each one served a special purpose. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Fang Zhou checked the time. More than half a day of the rookie competition had already passed.
Everyone’s working so hard. I can’t fall behind either.
Fang Zhou shook the Sealed Bone Bell in his hand. With a crisp sound, the Pearl Bird, Gugu, appeared in mid-air. It immediately flapped its wings and soared into the sky.
