Ultimate Village Doctor-Chapter 447 - 485: Extortion
Chapter 447: Chapter 485: Extortion
Chapter Four Hundred and Eighty-five
Su Wan covered her mouth and laughed, “Who asked you to be so impatient? It’s karma.”
Long Xiaoshan said irritably, “I wasn’t even in the middle of the road, I had stopped on the side, and she still thinks she’s in the right after hitting me.”
“Alright, don’t be angry, let’s get going as well.”
Long Xiaoshan got into the car and started the engine.
The car sputtered a few times and suddenly a puff of blue smoke came out from the front and it completely stopped.

After checking the car, Long Xiaoshan found oil leaking everywhere; the car was obviously done for.
“It’s over, the car is completely wrecked by that woman,” said Long Xiaoshan.
Su Wan uttered an “Ah” and asked, “What should we do? There’s no village in sight and no shops around, should we call a tow truck?”
Long Xiaoshan looked ahead and said, “Let’s go, we’ll check out the front, there’s a tire repair shop there. First, we’ll ask about the situation. If it won’t work, we’ll have to call a tow truck.”
“Alright.”
Having no choice, Long Xiaoshan left the car behind and walked ahead with Su Wan.
After about a hundred meters, they turned a corner and two houses appeared in front of them, one for tire repairs and the other was a restaurant with a sign that read “Stop to Eat.”
Long Xiaoshan was happy, “We can eat, that’s great. Let’s go there to rest and have something to eat. We’re in the mountain area at the border of two cities, waiting for the tow truck will take a long time.”
“Mhm!” Su Wan agreed.
The two of them walked quickly for another hundred meters and arrived at the restaurant. Next to it was a simple tire repair place with old tires stacked up.
A black car was jacked up there.
Two bald men were disassembling the tires.
Long Xiaoshan looked at the black car and sneered, “That woman also has a flat tire, she’s fixing it here. I’ll settle scores with her in a bit.”
The car was the Cayenne that had hit theirs. Su Wan pulled on Long Xiaoshan and said, “Come on, don’t be so petty. It’s not worth arguing with a woman over such things. Maybe she hit us because her tire burst.”
“Sister Wan, you’re really kind-hearted.”
What annoyed Long Xiaoshan wasn’t the car being hit; it was the woman’s attitude. If she had just apologized, he wouldn’t have said anything, but since Su Wan had spoken, he would seem petty if he kept arguing.
The two entered the small restaurant. Upon entering, they saw a woman wearing sunglasses; it was the woman who had driven the Cayenne.
She had taken off her outer coat and placed it on the chair behind her, revealing her figure clad in a yellow wool sweater underneath. Although Long Xiaoshan didn’t quite like her arrogance, he had to admit the woman had a great body. Not as exaggerated as Su Wan’s, but with curves in all the right places, nearly perfect. However, she might have some issues, as she still didn’t take off her mask even inside the restaurant, continuing to wear big sunglasses.
The moment Long Xiaoshan and Su Wan came in, the expression on the woman with sunglasses changed slightly. When she had thrown money at Long Xiaoshan earlier, she had definitely felt his anger. She wondered if he had come to settle the score, but her pride kept her from showing weakness. She locked eyes with Long Xiaoshan through her sunglasses, full of defiance, unwilling to succumb to such a lowlife who would have sex in a car in the open.
Long Xiaoshan felt the piercing gaze from beneath the sunglasses.
He was about to speak when Su Wan tugged at him.
Long Xiaoshan shrugged helplessly.
He ignored the woman with sunglasses.
Long Xiaoshan sat down with Su Wan.
Seeing that Long Xiaoshan had “cowered,” the woman with sunglasses drew back her triumphant gaze and continued to play with her cellphone.
A slovenly and greasy middle-aged woman came over and asked, “What would you like to eat?”
Long Xiaoshan was put off by the woman’s unkempt appearance and the sour stench coming off her; his appetite greatly diminished. But considering the remote location, he figured he couldn’t expect much and asked, “What do you have here?”
“Here’s the menu; we have everything listed.” The middle-aged woman handed over a tattered and greasy menu with barely legible handwriting.
Long Xiaoshan glanced at it, noting the prices were not too expensive, so he ordered three dishes and a soup. The middle-aged woman quickly walked inside.
Though separated by glass, Long Xiaoshan, who had excellent eyesight, could see the cooking area. There was a younger chef, also dressed in dingy clothes. He was tinkering on the stove and whipped up a bowl of noodles. As he served the noodles, he forcefully exhaled through his nose, almost as though blowing his nose, which made Long Xiaoshan feel disgusted.
The noodles were quickly prepared.
The middle-aged woman brought the bowl to the woman with sunglasses and set it down, saying, “Here’s your noodles.”
When the woman with sunglasses saw a few yellow vegetable leaves floating in the noodle soup and the noodles clumped together, she poked at it with her chopsticks, disgusted, and said, “This is edible?”
“What’s wrong with it? You city folks are so picky—making a fuss over a simple bowl of noodles,” the middle-aged woman answered impatiently.
“Forget it, forget it,” the woman with sunglasses, probably having lost her appetite as well, pushed the bowl to one side and continued to play with her phone.
Long Xiaoshan turned his head and continued to watch the chef inside cooking their dishes.
Now, he should be cooking the dishes they ordered.
Seeing the chef continually blowing his nose and, without washing his hands after, grabbing vegetables to toss into the wok, Long Xiaoshan almost threw up. He had completely lost the desire to eat and was pulling Su Wan to leave.
At that moment, the door was pushed open.
A bald man with hands covered in black grease stains, smoking a cigarette, walked in and shouted at the woman with sunglasses, “Your tire’s been fixed.”
The woman with sunglasses quickly got up, grabbed her clothes and bag, and said, “Okay, how much is it?”
“Hmm, let’s see—two thousand,” the bald man said through clenched teeth.
As the woman with sunglasses was opening her wallet, she paused and looked up, asking, “How much did you say?”
“Two thousand!” the bald man repeated.
“Two thousand!” the woman with sunglasses raised her voice and exclaimed, “For a tire fix? Why don’t you just rob someone!”
“What, you trying to dodge the bill?” the bald man said darkly.
“This is clearly extortion. Fixing a tire costs at most a hundred or eighty. You think I don’t know that?” the woman with sunglasses said angrily.
“I don’t care what others charge; here it’s two thousand. A thousand per tire. If you think it’s too expensive, you don’t have to get it fixed. But if you get it fixed and still want to dodge the bill, let me tell you, it’s not that simple,” the bald man said with a sneer.
“Right, and there’s also the cost for the noodles, two hundred,” the middle-aged woman said, coming out as well.
The woman with sunglasses was now thoroughly annoyed and pointed at the noodles, saying, “Two hundred for this bowl? Isn’t it supposed to be twenty on the menu?”
Holding the menu up, the middle-aged woman pointed to the item listed as “Greens and Shredded Pork Noodles” and said, “You didn’t see there’s an extra zero after it. It’s your fault for not seeing it.”
The woman with sunglasses stared at the menu hard; behind the ’20’, there was an extremely faint number. Since the menu was already filthy, she hadn’t noticed it before. And who would think that a bowl of greens and pork noodles would cost two hundred?
