Ultimate Spin System: Ero Spin?-Chapter 45 - Going To Do...
Lucas lay on his bed, the Dominion Grimoire now firmly gripped in his hand after he had retrieved it from his system inventory. The thick book, bound in pitch-black leather with glowing crimson engravings, felt cold in his hands, as if it harbored a power no ordinary human should possess.
[Well, well, a Crook daring to play with fire. Are you sure you can handle power of this magnitude, Host?]
"Shut up, System. I’ve gone too far to back out now," Lucas said firmly, though a faint tremor hinted at his unease.
He opened the first page of the Dominion Grimoire. There, inscribed in ancient runes, was a brief but clear instruction: "Write the target’s name, stare into their eyes for ten seconds, and their body will fall completely under your control."
A pen materialized between the book’s pages, sleek and unnaturally sharp. Lucas took it, his fingers tightening around it as if he were holding a dagger.
Suddenly, small text at the corner of the page began to glow, and a notification appeared on the system screen:
[Host, the cooldown for this ability is 24 hours per name. That means after writing one name, you cannot inscribe another for 24 hours. If you attempt to write prematurely, the effect will fail, and the target will become permanently immune to the Dominion Grimoire.]
Lucas froze for a moment, furrowing his brows. "So... the cooldown isn’t for the ability itself but for each individual name? I can only write ONE name every 24 hours?"
[Exactly! Look at you, actually using your brain for once, though I suppose you had to let your primal urges run wild first.]
Lucas let out a frustrated snort at the system’s mocking tone. "Then I need to make every use of this count."
His eyes gleamed with a sharp light as one name burned itself into his thoughts—Victor, the bastard who had been cheating with Maya.
But Lucas paused. His grin slowly stretched into something twisted.
"Wait... Using this on Victor? No... not yet... not before he’s completely vulnerable." Lucas chuckled darkly, his voice dripping with malice. "First, I should have a little chat with his dear wife... hehehe..."
The Dominion Grimoire in his hands seemed to pulse faintly, as if responding to Lucas’ sinister intent. The game had begun, and Lucas was holding all the cards.
___
Maya stood at the doorway of Lucas’s room, her figure wrapped in a silky, soft pajama that shimmered faintly under the dim light of the lamp. Her long hair cascaded down her shoulders, and her beautiful eyes reflected a mix of anxiety and hesitation as she looked at Lucas.
On the bed, Lucas sat with the Dominion Grimoire in his hands. His sharp gaze studied her, but this time, there was a faint warmth hidden behind his eyes.
"Mom," Lucas said softly, his voice low yet firm.
Maya stepped forward cautiously, her movements slow but deliberate. Without hesitation, she sat on the edge of the bed, just inches away from Lucas. Her hand trembled slightly as it reached out to touch Lucas’s cold hand, still clutching the Dominion Grimoire.
"Lucas..." Maya’s voice wavered, barely above a whisper. "I don’t want to sleep alone tonight. I want to be with you... I want to spend more time with you before you return to Brightville. And... I’ll end things with Victor as soon as possible."
Lucas stared at her for a long moment, as if trying to read every corner of Maya’s emotions. Slowly, he placed the Dominion Grimoire beside him and gently took Maya’s trembling hand in his own.
"Mom, there’s no need to be so nervous and don’t end it. Let Victor enjoy his time a little bit longer," Lucas said softly, his eyes gazing deeply into Maya’s.
Maya nodded slowly.
A faint smile appeared on Lucas’s lips. He pulled Maya into his arms, holding her tightly as if shielding her from the cruel world outside. Her body felt small and fragile within his embrace.
"You’re mine now," Lucas whispered into her ear. "I’ll take care of you, protect you... and make sure no one dares to tempt your beauty again."
Maya looked up, their faces only inches apart. Lucas gently brushed her cheek with his thumb.
"You’re too precious to be ignored. Don’t worry. I’ve cleansed you, and from now on, I’ll love you completely," Lucas said, his voice sounding sincere.
Maya gave a small smile, and in the silence thick with emotional tension, Lucas leaned down and gently pressed his lips against hers. The kiss felt like a promise—a promise of protection, trust, and belonging.
Maya responded with deep emotion, as if trying to pour all her pain and surrender into that kiss. When they finally pulled apart, both of them were breathless, their eyes locked in an intensity that was hard to put into words.
Lucas paused for a moment, gazing at Maya’s face, filled with honesty and despair.
Lifting her chin softly, Lucas said, "From now on, you’ll stay by my side. We’ll make Victor pay for every vile word he said to you and every insult he throw at my father!"
Maya nodded, a faint smile gracing her lips. She rested her head against Lucas’s chest, feeling the steady yet strong rhythm of his heartbeat.
Lucas held her tightly, letting Maya’s warmth seep into him. For a moment, there were no cunning plans or thoughts of revenge filling his mind—there was only Maya in his arms and an immoral feeling of love.
Beside them, the Dominion Grimoire lay on the bed, its black cover faintly glimmering under the soft light of the room. That night passed in deep sleep, shared between two souls entangled in a bond that shouldn’t have been tainted by desire’s haunting melody.
The next morning, sunlight seeped through the cracks in Lucas’s curtains, casting a warm glow on his tired yet determined face. Beside him, the Dominion Grimoire lay still, as if patiently waiting to be used. Lucas rubbed his face and sat on the edge of his bed, feeling the weight of the decisions he would make today.
Outside his room, the faint sound of Maya’s footsteps echoed softly. The aroma of fresh coffee and toasted bread filled the air, signaling the start of a new day.
"Today, someone’s wife is going to do something... interesting. Hehhehehe..." Lucas thought as he gazed at the Dominion Grimoire.
