Tyrannical Tycoon Haunts Me Relentlessly-Chapter 871: The Feng Family’s Legitimate Young Lady
Xia Chuxue didn’t expect her words had just been overheard by the women of the Feng Family.
She turned to look at the person who entered, frowned slightly, and then turned her gaze back to the full-length mirror.
She was the legitimate young lady of the Feng Family, while they were from Mr. Two’s side, so she had nothing to fear.
However, if possible, for now Xia Chuxue didn’t want any conflict with these people; she’d secure her position first before considering it.
Seeing Feng Rushuang’s belly full of resentment, He Shuya immediately put on a smile.
"Miss Rushuang, please don’t take Chuxue’s words to heart. She didn’t grow up in the Feng Family, so she might not be as well-mannered as you all."
"Tonight is such an important occasion, she’s a bit flustered which made her speak carelessly. Please don’t mind."
"How could I?" Wei Jieshan shot a glance at Feng Rushuang, then turned back to smile at He Shuya.
"Everyone who is coming tonight is the most influential in Yaoshan. It’s our Chuxue’s first time meeting people, of course, she must be respectful."
"That’s why I specially arranged for her two sisters to come over and see if there’s anything they can help with, and brought a few makeup artists."
As soon as the words fell, He Shuya clapped her hands.
Upon hearing the applause, the servants lined up outside, each holding a set of evening gowns, stepped inside one by one.
"Chuxue, have a look and see if there’s a dress you like. These are specially prepared for you by Second Aunt."
"Your parents aren’t here, and Ah Yen is too busy to take care of these things, so Second Aunt made the decision to prepare a few designs for you."
Wei Jieshan maintained a gentle smile on her face, seemingly without much scheming.
Xia Chuxue didn’t have to turn around; she’d been observing this woman closely in the mirror all along.
Not only what she had seen these days, but even the investigation revealed that this woman was indeed without much cunning.
But could someone without any cunning really live in such a big family?
Xia Chuxue was somewhat doubtful, although now wasn’t the time to speak; she needed to observe further.
She frowned slightly, then turned to face the people not far away.
Seeing one gorgeous gown after another lifted her spirits somewhat.
Indeed, this was the feeling she wanted.
"With Second Aunt here, I’m not so nervous," Xia Chuxue murmured, pressing her lips gently.
Just a turn, and her previous anger completely dissipated.
Feng Rushuang shot a glance at Xia Chuxue and headed to sit on the sofa herself.
"That’s good, see if there’s one you like, and if not, I’ll have someone prepare more."
As soon as the words fell, Wei Jieshan looked back at Feng Ruyun.
"Ruyun, you studied fashion design, give Chuxue some advice. Tonight, our Feng Family can’t afford any faux pas."
Feng Ruyun nodded and stepped forward.
"Second Madam, this is indeed troublesome for you. With so many helping out, let’s sit over there for a while," He Shuya waved her hand.
"Alright, let Chuxue take her time choosing; it’s still early," Wei Jieshan nodded in agreement.
"Go prepare some refreshments," He Shuya instructed the servants who came in behind.
"Yes, Lady Xia," the servants nodded and left.
Whether Feng Ruyun studied fashion design or not, Xia Chuxue didn’t know, but her advice was indeed quite good.
Shortly, on one side the two ladies were drinking tea and chatting, while on the other side, Feng Ruyun, designers, and servants were all bustling around for Xia Chuxue.
Feng Rushuang sat alone on the central sofa playing with her phone, quite bored.
After a while, she couldn’t bear it any longer and got up.
"Mom, I’m heading back first."
