Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1194: Please Consider Carefully
Trevor tilted his body, one hand resting on the steering wheel, the other hand supporting the back of her passenger seat.
He gazed deeply at the girl he loved, his deep black eyes seemed shrouded in a mist of tears, making Jocelyn Morgan’s chest tighten, and a sudden surge of guilt rose in her heart.
Inside the car, for a moment, the air seemed to freeze.
"Do you remember? I asked you what happiness is." Trevor’s gaze deepened, his throat moved slightly, "You said nine words: A home to return to, someone waiting, food to eat."
"..."
"You asked me if there was someone I liked." Trevor stared unwaveringly into her eyes, "Looking into your eyes, I answered, yes."
Jocelyn Morgan swallowed, feeling a bit uneasy under his gaze.
"You also asked me if I had confessed to her, if she knew about my feelings... Jocelyn Morgan, you told me if you like someone, you must confess..."
"Enough!"
Jocelyn felt like she was about to explode, feeling suffocated. She quickly unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the door to get out of the car!
Trevor also hurried out of the car, coming to her side, seeing her flustered look, he suddenly felt a pang of heartache and decided not to press further.
The wind blew, messing up Jocelyn’s hair, and she kept brushing it back with her hand to hide her inner panic and embarrassment.
Trevor no longer questioned her, not having a hint of blame in his heart, just gazed affectionately at the girl who was the first to break into his heart. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
After who knows how long, Trevor spoke, "Jocelyn, lift your eyes and look into mine."
Jocelyn Morgan slowly lifted her eyes, meeting his gaze once more.
"Can you seriously consider this?" Trevor’s voice was as rich as brewed wine, "Don’t rush to reject me, I’ll wait for your answer."
"..." Jocelyn felt a bit complicated.
Trevor said to her, "Where are you going? It’s hard to get a taxi here, you can take my car." After finishing, he stepped forward.
Jocelyn watched that tall, slender figure as he left, biting her lip, still not fully composed.
She got back into the driver’s seat and started the car.
Then the car slowly stopped next to him, Trevor stopped in his tracks and turned his gaze, their eyes meeting once again.
After a while, he opened the door and sat in the passenger seat.
Neither of them spoke during the drive, Jocelyn drove to Cecilia Dunn’s house, then said to Trevor, "Don’t wait for me, I’m not going back today."
Recalling that day, she deliberately told a lie.
As she was about to get out of the car, he grabbed her arm, "You promised to consider it seriously." Trevor reminded her, hoping she wouldn’t answer with silence this time.
Jocelyn Morgan nodded, "Alright."
He reluctantly let go, watching her get out of the car, watching her back fade into the distance.
After getting back into the driver’s seat, he started the car and drove away.
Three hours later, in the evening.
Several cars were parked in the Morgan family courtyard, Finn Morgan and Hailey Hale had returned, Jocelyn Morgan had also returned.
In the spacious and comfortable dining room, the view was bright, a mix of light and dark hues without a sense of oppression.
The family sat around the table, which was filled with a lavish spread, akin to a grand feast, including a pregnancy meal and a stomach-nourishing meal made according to Dr. Shelby’s recipe...
"This is mom’s first meal after being discharged, to celebrate her recovery." Everett Morgan was in a good mood, "It’s been a long time since we all gathered together, no need to be formal, just chat as usual."
In a wealthy family, there are all sorts of dining etiquette, the foremost being not to speak while eating.
After a simple toast, Jasmine picked up her chopsticks and started the conversation, "Since everyone’s here today, we should discuss Jocelyn’s relationship situation."
Jocelyn Morgan’s chest tightened, and she looked up at her aunt.
"Jocelyn has a boyfriend?" Hailey Hale was curious, "Who is he?"
