"Dean Shelby, here are Dr. Shaw’s patient’s medical records. He would like you to take a look." In the hallway, someone caught up again.

"Leave them in my office for now." Ian Shelby didn’t stop as he headed towards Jasmine’s hospital room. Before leaving the emergency room, he arranged the hospital room.

It was the room with the best lighting on the entire floor.

As he approached the doorway, he slowed his steps. The door was open, and faintly, he could hear the voices of family members inside, as well as Jocelyn’s voice.

The situation seemed pretty good.

Ian stopped at the door and saw the back of a girl held by Finn Morgan.

He recalled those helpless, tear-filled eyes, that tear-streaked face, and couldn’t help remembering her having dinner with Trevor...

Ian didn’t go in; he just stood at the door for a while, then turned and left.

In the hospital room.

"Everett, Finn, Hailey." Jasmine’s gaze lingered on them for a few seconds, "You all can go back. Just do what you need to do. Jocelyn is here, and that’s enough."

They had actually rushed over from work; indeed, they all had things to do since it was a weekday.

"Hailey, you’re pregnant and shouldn’t stay too long in the hospital." Jasmine tugged at her hand, "Come on, go home with Finn. Mom’s fine."

Jasmine had a slight smile on her face as she let go of her daughter-in-law’s hand, her condition much improved.

But everyone was worried about her because they were closely connected by blood.

"Really, you all go ahead and take care of your things!" At this point, Jocelyn also spoke up, "I can accompany Auntie alone. Everything is stable now, and with Dr. Shelby around, you all don’t need to worry at all."

Everett thought for a moment and said to his son and daughter-in-law, "Let’s go back. We’re not much help here."

Finn nodded, "Mom, get some good rest."

"Thank you for your trouble." Hailey looked at the girl.

"It’s what I should do!" Jocelyn smiled. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

Then, everyone said simple goodbyes. They stayed in the hospital room for about half an hour. The rest of the Morgan family left; everyone had things to do, plus Hailey was pregnant.

"Auntie, I’ll ask Dr. Shelby if you can eat anything." Jocelyn bent over by the bedside, "And what other precautions there are."

"Yes, yes, go ahead." Jasmine held her hand, "What a good child."

"You’re my aunt, and I’m the only one here with the most free time in the family. They all have jobs, and sister-in-law is pregnant." Jocelyn was very considerate, "When I was little and had a fever, it was always you who accompanied me to the hospital. Have you forgotten?"

Jasmine’s lips curled up in a comforting smile, "Jocelyn, you’ve grown up. Auntie’s biggest concern now is your marriage."

"Oh dear! Not this topic again!"

She replied playfully, letting go of Jasmine’s hand, "I’m going to find Dr. Shelby now!" With that, she turned and left, gently closing the door behind her.

Jasmine closed her eyes to rest, with the handsome image of Dr. Shelby flashing through her mind.

The private room was very quiet.

It must have been personally arranged by Dr. Shelby, right?

He certainly is considerate.

Dr. Shelby seems quite young; he probably hasn’t married yet. If he doesn’t have a girlfriend, he’s quite a match for Jocelyn.

Jasmine decided she would find a time to talk to Dr. Shelby about this, to introduce these two young people and see if there could be a spark.

But just as Jocelyn left the hospital room and walked towards Ian Shelby’s office, she passed by Vera Ford at a corner.

Jocelyn didn’t notice Vera.

Vera, however, stopped and specifically turned her head to take a look—to confirm it was Jocelyn Morgan!

In an instant, her chest constricted slightly, and the composure and confidence on her face disappeared.
