Chapter 51: Hunting Team

The moment they arrived at the previous Urthak Tribe, Ash slowed his steps down.

He raised an eyebrow with interest as before him rose a vast mountain wall of jagged dark stone, as if it had witnessed countless wars and countless tribes rising and falling beneath its shadow.

At the foot of that mountain was a massive cave entrance, easily more than fifty meters across. The air around it was denser than other places in the surroundings.

Even from this distance, Ash could faintly feel energy from inside the cave. It was subtle, but unmistakable like standing in front of the energy crystal mine he had mined inside the dungeon even though the quality was still far below the one inside the dungeon.

"So this is the previous Urthak Tribe..." Ash murmured inwardly.

Unlike Ragh’Tal, which was built across flat land and fortified outwardly, the previous Urthak Tribe’s stronghold was attached directly to the mountain itself.

Thick wooden palisades curved in a half-circle around the cave entrance, forming an outer defensive layer. Watchtowers rose from both ends of the wooden barricade.

The scale alone made Ragh’Tal look like a small village.

This was a true tribal fortress.

Garnak stepped forward first, his presence calm yet commanding. The guards at the entrance immediately lowered their heads in respect. Word of what had happened inside the dungeon had already spread.

Without ceremony, Garnak led the group into the cave.

The temperature dropped slightly the deeper they walked. The walls were lined with embedded crystal veins, some glowing faintly in hues of pale blue and green. The light they emitted was enough to illuminate the passageways without torches.

Ash narrowed his eyes slightly as he thought to himself. "A natural crystal mine..."

That alone was worth a war. After walking for nearly a hundred meters, the corridor widened abruptly.

They stepped into the main hall. Ash halted slightly with the sight in front of him as the hall was enormous.

A few dozen times larger than Ragh’Tal’s main hall. The ceiling arched high overhead, supported by thick stone pillars carved directly from the mountain’s core.

The air here was steady and cool, yet filled with faint spiritual energy from the surrounding crystals.

In the center of the hall stood a massive oval table, long enough to seat dozens comfortably. It was carved from dark hardwood, polished but bearing the marks of age and history.

Without hesitation, Ash walked forward and took the seat at the head of the table.

He exhaled slowly. Only now did he truly feel it—the mental exhaustion.

The dungeon’s sudden mutation into a Red Gate – 5th Rank Dungeon had forced his mind to operate at its limit. Calculations, risk assessments, upgrading allies, etc.

He had physically fought once.

But mentally?

He had fought the entire time as his life was also in the line.

"I’m hungry..." Ash muttered softly, then turned slightly. "Kargan. Prepare a feast."

Kargan straightened instantly. "Yes, Tribe Lord."

Garnak did not question the order and turned his head toward one of the original Urthak 4th rank warriors who stayed in the stronghold and had followed them inside.

"Prepare the feast. Bring out the best reserves."

The warrior bowed deeply and rushed out. Silence lingered in the hall for a few minutes as Ash just walked around and observed the natural place that was being used as the main hall..

Less than ten minutes later, dozens of tribe members entered in an organized manner. They carried large wooden trays and stone platters, placing them across the enormous table with efficiency.

Soon, the table was filled.

Thick slabs of roasted 4th Rank boar, their fat glistening under crystal light.

Slow-cooked 4th Rank deer legs, seasoned with crushed mountain herbs.

Massive cuts of 4th Rank cow and goat, seared over high heat.

And alongside them, several variations of 3rd Rank fish—grilled, smoked, even sliced thin and served fresh.

The aroma spread through the hall instantly.

Ash stared at the table. He gulped down subconsciously.

This was completely different from the wheat porridge Old Ni and Aunt Nira had insisted he eat since waking up.

His stomach growled audibly. Just as he was about to reach for a piece, footsteps echoed again.

A guard entered hurriedly and knelt. "Pardon for my interruption, but Harold’s group has arrived."

Ash paused mid-motion. He leaned back slightly and looked toward Old Ni, his gaze asking without words.

Old Ni did not hesitate to speak. "Only let those who have reached 4th Rank inside," he said calmly. "There are multiple subjugation teams. If all of them enter, even this hall won’t hold them." 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

Ash nodded as he also agreed with that, but then he thought about something and turned to Garnak.

He turned to Garnak. "Follow Old Ni’s suggestion. But prepare another feast outside. Let the others rest properly and enjoy themselves."

Garnak nodded his head slightly. "Understood."

Ash glanced over the table again before looking at everyone present. "There might not be enough top-quality food."

He paused for a second and continued slowly. "Which among you wants to go outside and hunt more beasts that are at least 4th Rank? I’ll reward you based on your contribution."

Every single person that was at least 4th Ranks except Old Ni stood up instantly. Even the 5th Ranks were no exception in this as their eyes burned with passion.

After witnessing Ash casually upgrading people’s ranks, who wouldn’t want to make more contribution to the tribe and be on his good side?

This was no longer just about food or order. It was about opportunity.

Ash couldn’t help but chuckle and waved his hand. "Uncle Zan, you stay. Don’t trouble yourself with this. Let the others do it."

Uncle Zan responded with a snort but did not argue.

Ash’s gaze sharpened slightly. "One hour. Return within one hour. If you’re late, your contribution won’t count."

Eight 5th Ranks and several 4th Ranks immediately rushed toward the exit. The moment they stepped beyond the hall entrance, they vanished in an instant as they couldn’t help but get pressure to find strong beasts and kill them as soon as possible.
