Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 836 - 360: Special Commission (Part 3)
After thinking it through briefly, Alka agreed.
If the opportunity arises, they might as well grab the Treasure at the border.
"Alright, we'll meet at the Azure Fortress on the warfront in a week," said Alati as he nodded and took his leave.
The Azure Fortress was the first Island they landed on, and due to the war, it transformed into a fortress Island. However, the name Azure was preserved.
"Everyone, get ready. We need to gather at the fortress in a week to perform well. Rest a bit, and we'll set off tomorrow."
The crowd nodded in response to Alka's words, without any refusal.
The next day.
At the break of dawn, Alka and his group already had their things packed and began their journey to the warfront aboard the Flying Yan.
Fortunately, the current front line was no longer the true boundary, only half the size of a map. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Sitting aboard the Flying Yan, Alka looked at the map in his hand, which was the map of the entire Land of Spirits.
The place marked as Karuto was pinned at a location on the map, but previously he had not stayed there.
This scoundrel was almost always teleporting, and Alka had seen his figure appear in other places several times, and his speed was clearly off.
This made it impossible for Alka to know his exact location or where he frequently went.
Seems like he'll have to resolve this after returning from the matter at hand.
Gaining advantage for their side quickly could reverse the tide on the battlefield, exposing the Treasure location.
Let them gain the Nafasi Clan's treasure.
Otherwise, they could only hold out until the Flower Fairy revived, and as the time of its revival drew near, the surrounding situation would worsen.
None of the neighbors wanted the Flower Fairy to revive.
Otherwise, the Sea of Moisture would no longer be called the Sea of Moisture.
...
Their sailing speed was fast, taking approximately 4 days before they could see the fortress from afar.
Though it was called the Azure Fortress, its walls were made of vines along with black stones wrapped within.
Enhancing the overall defensiveness of the walls.
Their arrival caused the flower Cannons and some mechanical weaponry on the walls facing them to aim at them.
But soon, the people above discerned them; the gun muzzles lifted, and the vines moved to reveal a space leading inward.
They all stepped right in.
As they entered, Julia seemed to notice something and paused slightly.
The others followed Julia's gaze.
In the distance, two beautiful women with different-colored hair were standing, and upon sensing Julia's gaze, they turned to look at them.
Expressing the same change in facial expression as Julia, both sides stood in place.
"Do you know them?" Alka asked beside her.
It would be quite a coincidence if she ran into acquaintances.
If Julia were to encounter acquaintances in such circumstances, it could mean the two women arrived at the Endless Sea many years ago.
But who would've thought Julia shook her head.
"No, those two are Merfolk and they are those who believe in Life, receiving the blessing of the Seed of Life."
In front of the two Life Believers appeared Julia, who was of the same race but had abandoned Life.
The situation made everyone instantly think of unfavorable outcomes, so they immediately shifted positions to shield Julia behind them.
Witnessing this, Julia smiled and patted the two blocking her, saying, "It's alright; Life Believers are not driven by violence."
Hardly had she finished speaking when the sister duo walked over directly.
One could perceive a faint arrogance from them as they bypassed Alka's group to face Julia.
"A forsaken one…" one young woman seemed about to say something, but the mermaid next to her covered her mouth with a slap, signaling her friend to stay silent.
Julia, who no longer believed in Life nor adhered to doctrines, simply gazed calmly at the two.
"Sister, why did you forsake the faith you were born with?"
The two initially intended to inquire about Julia's situation, since Merfolk were inherently Life Believers, much like Alka from Home Island.
Such a person not believing in Life was a significant loss, surely due to great trauma.
Julia didn't elaborate much, but her ring flickered slightly.
A transformed transparent crystal appeared in her arms, within which lay a corpse.
This corpse was the remains of a mermaid Alka's group had previously found in the sea.
Through the crystal, her appearance was clearly visible.
Since they hadn't ventured out much nor had any time to visit the Life Church's chapel.
This corpse had been encased in crystal, stored in her Pocket Ring.
With puzzled looks from the two young Merfolk, Julia handed them the Crystal Coffin.
"Are you from the nearby Life Hall?"
"Yes, we're from the Hall of the Breath of Life on Breeze Island."
Julia nodded and pointed at the Crystal Coffin saying, "Take a look, see if you find it familiar."
Upon looking closely, their expressions shifted from panic to sorrow.
"Meister Master, who would've thought her journey in life halted here?"
"I found her corpse and am now returning it to you, hoping you can transfer her body and soul to the Divine Kingdom."
The two nodded, gently took the crystal, expressed gratitude, and left hurriedly.
Clearly, they had no time to broach issues with Julia.
Afterward, Julia led Alka's group further inside.
"Why are the members of the Seed of Life here? Aren't they Merfolk?" Jason asked curiously.
From their knowledge, people in the Land of Spirits disliked Merfolk or Seed of Life members.
There seemed to be some enmity between the two.
Though they didn't know why.
Coming here now appeared quite strange.
"Who knows, maybe previous statements were wrong, just rumors."
"Anyway, let's go inside; we'll find out later."
Now with Seed of Life members' arrival, intentions were already clear.
As Alka spoke, leading the group into a grand flower house, which seemed to be their gathering area.
Soon, two soldiers greeted them and guided them to a resting spot.
Awaiting everyone's arrival.
