Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer-Chapter 776 - 341: After May_3
It might be akin to a newly emerged life, one that only appears in this Dream Realm of the Spiritual World.
Perhaps it only inherited some of its original memories.
Fortunately, the Divine whose fragment he had once consumed had few followers.
He asked, "Is he dangerous to us? Or can he pose a threat to me in the Dream Realm?"
The Shadow Robe shook its head. "Rest assured, the area he is in now is where he once died and collapsed. Once he leaves that area, his power will drastically weaken. Too many black shadow Dream Kings are watching that place. If he tries to come out, he might be torn apart before he even sees you."
Hearing this, Alka nodded in relief.
So that's it; that guy is like a tempting cake in the Dream Realm.
"Why are so many shadow powerhouses focusing on him?"
"Just like you, just like His Majesty Mirmi once was. They all crave to advance further. And Divine Fragments, being of a similar existence, offer the easiest path."
Hearing this, Alka couldn't help but search through Mirmi's past fragmented memories in his mind.
Unfortunately, he only found some scattered pieces.
"Your Majesty, you're fortunate. You obtained both a Divine Fragment and the rights of Royal Authority. Though I'm unaware of what kind of existence the Divine, whose fragment you possess, once was, His Highness Miayami needed it. This means it is certainly related to the mist creatures. Each Divine Fragment might not bring much of a power enhancement, but it offers a point of fatal attraction for these dream creatures, especially for shadow creatures."
"What?" Alka's curiosity was successfully piqued.
"That is, it makes it easier for them to reach reality. For shadow creatures, with their strong desire for destruction, the ability to reach the Real World—even if only slightly easier than before—is a fatal temptation."
Hearing this, Alka nodded in understanding.
Although the barrier between the Dream Realm and reality is very strong and hard to break through, Divines, after all, belong to the world. Whether it's the Dream Realm or reality, both are part of the world. Thus, they are inherently more capable of traveling between the two realms than normal life forms.
Especially Alka. The fragment he had consumed belonged to a being that once guarded two great gates.
Thinking this way, the Divine whose fragment he had consumed likely possessed power even greater than his own current strength. Otherwise, it couldn't have had the power to deal with those shadow creatures trying to enter the Real World.
After talking, Alka nodded.
Taking his leave of the Shadow Robe, he continued with his matters in the Dream Realm.
「Time flew by.」
They had been staying in the small forest outside the Land of Fragrance for almost five months.
A massive figure sliced through the sky. This figure was entirely snow-white, and under the sunlight, it emitted a dazzling brilliance; specks of rainbow colors were visible on its body. She flapped her enormous wings.
At this moment, her size was even larger than before; her growth rate had accelerated in recent months.
Jason sat on her back, leaning forward slightly as he gazed ahead.
In the marsh water ahead, someone was quickly swimming forward, not daring to turn his head. He was Jason's target.
Once Jason estimated the distance was right, he immediately stood up on the dragon's back and raised his right hand.
Iridescent, flowing light spiraled and converged into a sharp Crystal Stone, which then launched out. The Crystal Stone sliced through the sky, leaving a long, rainbow-like crystalline trail. It pierced through the water instantly, and blood immediately dyed the emerald green water red.
The figure swimming underwater had to surface, gasping for air. Clutching his wound, he continuously struggled forward. Though the water level there wasn't high, it reached his chest, making his efforts to run pointless.
Ulu Liwus dove, her massive form crashing directly onto the water's surface, sending vast amounts of water splashing. As the splashed water fell through the air and over her crystal-covered body, the sunlight refracted through it, creating what seemed like a small rainbow around her. This made the surrounding colors perfectly complement Ulu Liwus's entire physique.
Jason jumped down from the dragon's back. The Crystal Stone in his hand rotated, forming a long, slender blade. The blade was aimed directly at the man, who was half-squatting in the water with almost only his neck and head exposed.
"Still running?"
"No more, sir."
Jason squinted slightly at him. The blade twisted slightly, nicking the man's shoulder, then Jason lightly carved two marks into it.
The man's eyes widened at this. Magic Power began to gather in his hands as he prepared to retaliate. However, before he could attack, the crystal blade had already pierced through his body.
Blood once again dyed the surrounding water red.
"Don't be so agitated," Jason said. "You cultists... I really don't get you. Why not worship proper deities instead of these monsters? Don't you ever think that these powers might have a cost?"
"Cost... humph." Blood was already flowing heavily from the man's mouth. He snorted disdainfully and collapsed into the water.
Jason regarded the corpse without disdain and searched it. Finding little information, he sighed helplessly. He looked at the tattoo exposed on the slashed shoulder.
Another small fry. Our hiding spot has been exposed again. I'll have to find a new place to lie in wait next time.
Saying this, he jumped back onto Ulu Liwus's back.
"Let's go back."
"BUJI!"
"Eat more? You're about to finish the entire crate I brought. Let me tell you, I don't have much money right now."
Though he said so grudgingly, he still took out a Gemstone and tossed it into the Crystal Dragon's mouth.
Only then did Ulu Liwus contentedly fly high into the sky, heading back to the camp.
