Traveler of the River of Time and Space-Chapter 513 - 1: The Lost Planet
Based on his judgment, the scope of this mission might not be limited to just one planet.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have descended straight into outer space.
"Space-Time Monitor System."
"What’s the gravity coefficient of the current planet?" Su Ziyu’s figure swiftly darted across the sky.
Quickly, a data point emerged: "The current planet’s gravity coefficient is 0.7."
"According to the magnetic field analysis, some areas might have gravity anomalies."
No wonder this planet feels a bit more relaxed; Earth’s gravity coefficient is approximately between 0.9-1, while this planet’s gravity is noticeably lower than Earth’s.
Su Ziyu was flying at a high speed.
However, the area of this desert was somewhat large, and he still spent a better part of the day gradually leaving the desert’s range.
The size of this planet was estimated to be much larger than Earth.
"No signs of intelligent life activity?"
"Could I have descended on a deserted planet?" Su Ziyu slightly slowed his speed.
Wait.
What is that?
Just as Su Ziyu suspected this planet might lack intelligent life, a faint light suddenly streaked across the sky, its trajectory nearly impossible to track with the naked eye, but Su Ziyu still successfully locked onto the target.
"What is that?" Su Ziyu stopped in surprise.
Just now, overhead, roughly seven kilometers from the ground, a flat, elongated flying device swiftly flew past, disappearing into the horizon in the blink of an eye.
That wasn’t a fighter jet.
It was a more advanced and sci-fi flying device.
"It seems the civilization level here isn’t low at all!..." Su Ziyu unhesitatingly followed, but his Spiritual Flight wasn’t fast enough; to catch up, he would have to use a blind teleportation with Spiritual Transmission.
In an instant, it’s a thousand kilometers away.
In the end, Su Ziyu couldn’t catch up to that peculiar flying device, but instead, he witnessed an extremely bizarre battle.
Right in front of him, in a lush tropical primordial forest.
About twenty primitives dressed in animal skins were wielding javelins and spears, fighting against a bizarre and dilapidated humanoid mechanical body, and surprisingly, two or three of them were wielding modified automatic rifles, with one person’s firearm even capable of firing energy bullets.
"Primitives using firearms?" Su Ziyu’s expression was somewhat amazed.
But what surprised him even more was yet to come, as he saw an exceptionally brawny man whose right arm was a silver-gray metallic bionic arm, and the weapon in his hand was an eye-catching crimson light saber.
This man was clearly different from the other primitives.
Firstly, his attire was much more refined, resembling medieval garments, with a faint golden insignia seemingly worn on his chest, and a thin silver-white metallic device at the back of his head, extending near his temple, apparently implanted directly into his brain.
This person’s speed was exceedingly fast, far surpassing ordinary humans, leaping over ten meters in a single bound.
Of course, Su Ziyu was even more interested in the light saber in his hand, which seemed to be a cold weapon imbued with energy, possessing considerable power, able to slice through hardened metal in an instant.
—"Relic Guard of the Lost Empire!"
When Su Ziyu shifted his gaze to the mechanical body beside him, the prompt in his mind slightly startled him.
The battle below was intense.
With a muffled boom, those in primitive attire astonishingly pulled out some grenades.
At this point, Su Ziyu descended slightly, noticing that the spears these primitives used were seemingly not made of iron, but of a special sky-blue alloy, though the crafting method was quite rough, probably at a medieval civilization level.
—"Electromagnetic Pulse!"
Just as Su Ziyu hesitated whether to intervene and try to make contact with this world’s natives to gather some intelligence,
the battle situation suddenly became critical, as the humanoid mechanical body’s arm started to transform, revealing a pitch-black cannon barrel from its split palm. Deep blue energy gathered, followed by an energy cannon blast that evaporated one of the primitives along with the rock cover he was hiding behind.
The power was quite intimidating!
But it seemed the mechanical body was low on energy, as its movement noticeably slowed after one use.
The leading man seized the opportunity to suddenly charge, raising his hand to deliver an electromagnetic pulse, then gripping the blazing light saber to slash at the mechanical body’s head.
Thud.
The mechanical body, already in a state of disrepair, collapsed with a thunderous crash, and the surrounding primitives let out victorious cheers.
"Spiritual Energy?"
Su Ziyu closed his eyes, sensing, then murmured with a slight frown, "No, something’s off!"
"This guy’s Spiritual Energy is quite weak."
"At most, it’s level one."
"But how could he unleash such a strong electromagnetic pulse?"
Su Ziyu’s gaze quickly settled on the silver-white metallic device at the back of the man’s head, which seemed to be a peculiar amplification device that could allow a person with a maximum Spiritual Ability Level of 1 to unleash Spiritual Energy far beyond their own power limits.
"Is the technology tree of this world so strange?" Su Ziyu muttered to himself.
Clearly, their attire resembled a group of primitives, yet they wield firearms, grenades, and light sabers, among other weapons, also possessing an odd Spiritual Amplification Device. Just how twisted must the technology tree be to result in this situation?
Su Ziyu decided to observe secretly for a bit longer.
After defeating the dilapidated mechanical body, these primitives began to dig enthusiastically.
The tools they used were diverse, ranging from the most primitive shovels to advanced exoskeleton-powered arms, quickly unearthing a pile of bizarre metallic devices and a special silver-gray chip with a diameter of about twenty centimeters.
"Finally got it!"
The leading man’s expression was very excited, saying to the others, "With this, we can exchange for more exoskeleton bionic bodies from the Empire people."
"Let’s go."
"Carry these things back to the tribe."
Soon after.
Su Ziyu witnessed these primitives’ modes of transportation, where the leader used an extremely worn-out, paint-peeling maglev car, while others rode a giant Komodo Beast, roughly five meters long.
They loaded everything onto them.
"From cold weapons to hot weapons, from hot weapons to energy weapons."
"Each appearance marks a quantum leap in civilization," Su Ziyu murmured as he glanced at the primitive jerky they ate, "Their lifestyle closely resembles that of ancient people."
"Yet, they’re proficient with firearms."
"The contrast is just too great!"
At this moment, the leading man cautiously dismantled his silver-gray mechanical arm, carefully polishing it with a gray-black cloth. Upon seeing the scratches on the arm, he appeared genuinely pained, meticulously cleaning it before carefully reattaching it.
"Not a highly advanced mechanical bionic transformation, just an added mechanical bionic arm."
"Probably not even as good as the top-tier bionic limbs in the Wasteland World."
"Thermal weapons are at a modern level, but energy weapons have reached interstellar standards."
"Did a more advanced civilization give them these items?" Su Ziyu slightly expanded his Spiritual Ability Field.
If they were strong enough,
they would detect the presence of a highly powerful spiritualist a thousand meters away.
However, the leading man showed no reaction whatsoever.
In other words, Su Ziyu’s initial judgment was correct; this man’s spiritual ability level was at most LV1, completely unaware of Su Ziyu’s expanded Spiritual Ability Field.
The light saber used by the man also revealed its true nature.
"What material is that made from?" Su Ziyu noticed that the light saber even had a ridiculous switch button, with the hilt resembling a battery, and the blade lacked metallic luster, being a special gray-white substance. The dazzling plasma light blade only appeared when the switch was pressed, looking like a crude children’s toy otherwise.
He couldn’t help but chuckle, shaking his head, "This is not the light blade I remember; it looks entirely like someone’s hastily made toy."
But without a doubt, there exists advanced civilization on this planet.
