She went directly to Fu Mingze’s study and opened the door without knocking.

Fu Mingze who was on the phone glanced at her and gave her a slight smile before saying "Just leave her there, her shouting will get her nowhere after all the door is soundproof."

"Was it about Yang Jia?" Yang Meiyi asked after he ended the call.

"Can I see her tonight?" Yang Meiyi asked.

Ignoring all the music and people dancing, Fu Mingze took her upstairs and entered a room.

Yang Meiyi noticed that all the music stopped once the room door was closed and asked "This room is soundproof?"

Fu Mingze smiled, he went to the bookshelf and pressed four different digits.

Suddenly, the bookshelf turned opening a hidden passage.

Yang Meiyi stared in awe and said to herself ’No wonder he was sure that Yang Jia will never get out.’

"Come with me." Fu Mingze said, he on his phone flashlight and held Yang Meiyi’s hand, gently leading her down the dark stairway.

After climbing the last staircase, Fu Mingze let go of Yang Meiyi’s hand and Yang Meiyi was about to complain when everywhere suddenly became lit.

Yang Meiyi’s eyes immediately sighted Yang Jia who was chained to the wall.

"Mingze, can you leave us alone for a moment?" Yang Meiyi asked without taking her eyes off Yang Jia.

Fu Mingze nodded, he walked closer to her and whispered "Call me if you need me."

Yang Meiyi looked at her husband and said "I will."

Fu Mingze kissed her briefly before leaving Yang Meiyi alone with a chained Yang Jia.

"You are chained, just like you once chained me." Yang Meiyi calmly stated.

Yang Jia scoffed and said "If you are expecting me to beg then you are truly wasting your time. You can’t harm me, Gu Zhen will never allow that to happen."
