Chapter 428: Chapter 428; Honeymoon phase 3 (n)

She searched his eyes, seeing nothing but absolute truth. Whether or not she could remember that moment, whether or not she was truly the same Tang Fei who’d saved him, he believed it. And his love was real.

"Then I’m glad," she whispered. "I’m glad that little girl saved you. Because it brought you to me now."

He kissed her then, deep and slow and full of emotion that had been building for over a decade. A kiss that tasted of gratitude and devotion and a love that had started with a child’s kindness and grown into something that would burn down the world.

When they finally broke apart, the island was so close she could see individual palm trees swaying in the breeze.

"Ready?" he asked.

"With you? Always."

He kissed her again, slower this time, deeper, pouring everything he felt into the connection of their lips. She melted into him, her arms wrapping around his neck, losing herself in the taste and feel of him.

When they finally broke apart, both breathing hard, she noticed they’d attracted quite an audience; several nearby boats had slowed, and people openly watched the romantic display on the luxurious yacht.

"We’re giving them quite a show," she murmured against his lips.

"Let them watch," he replied, not caring at all. "Let them see how much I love my wife."

A crew member’s discreet cough interrupted them. "Master Huo, we’re approaching the island. ETA five minutes."

"Thank you," Huo Ting Cheng replied without taking his eyes off Tang Fei.

She turned back around to face forward, settling once more against his chest as the island grew larger in their view. His arms wrapped around her possessively, and she felt completely safe, completely cherished.

"Look," she breathed as they drew closer.

As they approached, Tang Fei could see that the island was far more developed than she’d initially expected. It looked like a perfect blend of nature and luxury, elegant architectural structures integrated seamlessly into the natural tropical landscape, everything designed with obvious luxury and maximum privacy in mind.

The buildings were low and sprawling, designed to complement rather than dominate the natural beauty. Lush gardens, pristine beaches, and what looked like multiple pools and dining areas were visible even from the water.

"It’s beautiful," she said.

"Wait until you see inside," he promised, pressing another kiss to her shoulder. "I built this place thinking of you. Every detail."

"You built this before we were even really together?" she asked, surprised.

"I’ve always been planning for our future," he admitted. "Even when you didn’t know it. Even when I wasn’t sure it would happen. I hoped. And I prepared."

Tang Fei felt tears prick her eyes at the confession, the depth of his feeling, the length of his devotion, the patience of his love.

"I don’t deserve you," she whispered.

"You deserve everything," he countered firmly. "And I intend to give it to you."

As the yacht pulled into the private dock, staff members waiting to greet them, Tang Fei realized something profound: whatever secrets lay between them, whatever complications awaited in their future, this, this connection, this love, this partnership, was real. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

And it was worth fighting for.

Worth protecting with everything she had.

The yacht engines cut to idle as they arrived, but neither of them moved immediately, content to stay wrapped together for just a few more precious seconds, stealing one last moment of peace before reality intruded once again.

As they approached, Tang Fei could see that the island was far more developed than she’d initially expected. It looked like elegant architectural structures integrated seamlessly into the natural tropical landscape, everything designed with obvious luxury and maximum privacy in mind.

"What is this place?" she asked over the rumbling sound of the yacht’s engines.

"One of my properties," Huo Ting Cheng replied casually, as if owning entire islands was perfectly normal. "An exclusive resort. Only a very select few even know about its existence, and even fewer can actually afford to visit. It’s widely considered the single most expensive dining destination in this entire region."

"And we’re going there... with me still in just a bikini?" She suddenly felt acutely self-conscious about her minimal attire.

"It’s my property," he said with an unconcerned shrug. "I make the rules. Besides, you look absolutely perfect exactly as you are."

The yacht docked smoothly at an elegant private pier, and they were immediately greeted by staff members whose eyes widened noticeably in recognition before they quickly schooled their expressions to professional neutrality.

"Master Huo!" The marina manager rushed forward, bowing so deeply it was almost comical. "We weren’t expecting your arrival, sir. Welcome! And Mrs. Huo, welcome to the island!"

Other workers within sight immediately stopped their various tasks, turning to bow respectfully toward the owner. Security guards stationed strategically around the island subtly adjusted their positions, silently going on higher alert now that the property owner himself was present.

"We would like to dine here," Huo Ting Cheng stated simply, his tone brooking no discussion. "The underwater restaurant."

"Of course, sir! Immediately! Right away. Please, follow me."

They were led along a meticulously maintained path through stunning tropical landscaping, passing other wealthy guests who were dressed in expensive evening wear appropriate for fine dining.

Several people turned to stare openly as they passed, a stunning woman in nothing but a bikini and towel, escorted confidently by a man who carried himself with the unmistakable authority of someone who owned everything around them.

Tang Fei noticed the stares but kept her head high and proud, her hand securely clasped in Huo Ting Cheng’s larger one.

If he genuinely didn’t care about her unconventional attire, then she certainly wouldn’t either.

The famous underwater restaurant was accessed through a luxurious elevator that descended smoothly below sea level. When the polished doors opened with a quiet chime, Tang Fei couldn’t suppress her audible gasp of wonder.

She had never been here or heard of this place even in her previous life, but it had existed, meaning only elites would manage to have food here... Tea itself cost the amount of someone’s salary.
