Alayna did her best to teach Nancy for the half day and when the day was done, she told her to wait while she takes out the contract the other was supposed to sign.

"Take it and look through it before signing and bring it tomorrow," Alayna instructed.

"Thank you for this chance, I will not disappoint you," Nancy pledged firmly.

Alayna smiled hearing that, "I will hold you to your word. Remember that if you do any misconduct, your job will be at a risk."

"I wouldn’t dare."

Alayna sent Nancy off and stretched her neck, "I am tired!"

She just wanted to rest but before that, she needed a hot meal.

Olinda knew how to lessen her mama’s troubles so she began to cook as soon as she entered the house. Alayna was relieved and went to take some rest first while she waited for the food.

When food was ready, the two sat together and enjoyed a meal. After the meal, Alayna went to the study where she made a new recruitment post and listed the requirements she wanted, and this time they were much higher than before.

This was a city and she needed someone clever to be in the shop, and she won’t be here all the time so she needed people that she can feel at ease with.

The next morning, the two ate a hot meal before starting work. Nancy watched Alayna again for the whole morning and she couldn’t help but envy Olinda.

She signed the contract before going to sleep after reading the contents. When being a temporary employee, she will be earning six silver coins, one day off, and will be working from eight in the mornings and five evenings.

At lunch, Alayna went to post the recruitment notice outside so that everyone can see, and surely the second she left, all eyes were on it.

[The lady boss is going to recruit some people!]

[This is very good.]

[But why is it only ladies? Why can’t men also apply?]

[It doesn’t matter what it is, I am going to apply. I wonder if I can get a chance?]

[There will be many people fighting for this chance.]

Before resuming work, Alayna looked at Nancy and smiled affectionately, "I believe that by now you have learnt something. You will be taking over this afternoon. I have things to do and I hope that you will make me proud."

It came to her so sudden but Alayna didn’t even give Nancy the chance to refute or complain as she was pushed to the chair and Alayna left the shop.

Olinda looked at Nancy with a reassuring smile, "don’t worry, I believe you. You will do just fine."

"I hope so."

Alayna went upstairs and locked her study. She only has one reason to do this, she was going back home. She just couldn’t pop up with a child from anywhere, she needed to give them a head up first before doing that.

She used her return home chance as that was faster than using her teleportation ring and soon, she found herself on a familiar road.

Alayna took in the fresh scent and let it fill her system before flying towards the two-story villa that she had missed so much.

When she arrived, she found no one outside and this was normal. Elena was at work and the kids were probably inside. Alayna entered the house she had not seen for a very long time and was filled with nostalgia.

The living room has their family portraits and it was just homey. Alayna went upstairs to check the kids but on second thought she decided to deal with her business first before doing that.

She didn’t know if the kids will let her do what she wanted after seeing her. Alayna went to her study and set up the second teleportation circle. For the sake of transporting others, she didn’t mind sacrificing her study rooms.

In the future, she will set them somewhere else where her privacy won’t be affected.

After setting the teleportation circle, she was at ease and finally left the study. Alayna went downstairs to the kitchen and checked the fridge and decided to prepare a meal for everyone as supper was approaching.

Alayna began to prepare the meal while she hummed a tune happily and at the same time, Neal who was cultivating opened his eyes.

As his cultivation increased, he started perceiving things and his sense of hearing was greater than before. So, when he heard the familiar voice that wasn’t supposed to be in the house, he couldn’t continue to cultivate.

But he didn’t want to be labeled as hysterical so he didn’t bother his sister but silently made his way downstairs where he saw the person, he and Merita has been longing for, for weeks.

He wanted to share this happiness with Merita, so he rushed back upstairs and disturbed Merita who was busy writing her last chapters.

Merita seeing her brother in her room she frowns clearly showing her displeasure, "what are you doing here?"

"Mom is back!" sometimes there was no need to beat around the bush and suffer someone else’s wrath when a few words can just save everyone from trouble.

Merita who was about to flare up after being disturbed while writing the important part of the chapter instantly cooled down and jumped out of her chair, "are you kidding me!"

"Let’s go downstairs and check. I thought I was hallucinating when I saw her," it still felt like a dream even to him too.

Merita didn’t wait for Neal to keep on talking and rushed out of the room. Neal rushed to join his sister and the two siblings stood in the living room as their eyes were locked with those familiar ones.

"What? Do I look like a ghost to you now?"

Hearing this, Merita screamed happily and rushed into her mother’s embrace, "mom, is that really you?"

"If it’s not me, then who else can it be darling?"

Merita was so happy that she planted kisses all over Alayna’s face making Alayna to laugh merrily. It was only after a while that Merita finally gave the chance to Neal who was still shy and as a boy, how can he shamelessly do such acts?

And Alayna knowing her young son, how can she just allow him to be left out when she knows that the young boy also wanted to be showered with love?

Neal found himself trapped in Alayna’s arms and was showered with kisses and it made him smile blissfully.

"Mommy is cooking, do you want to join me?"

"Yes, we will help."

It’s been ages since the three of them did something together, so they were very happy to be in each other’s presence.

"Mommy won’t be staying for long; I still need to return but I promise you that I will be back in a few days."

"You will be really coming back?"

"Will it be for good?"

Alayna smiled helplessly hearing the kids’ questions, "I will be coming back but as for it is for good, that is not set in stone. I will be required to leave and go to other places in the future, so kids get used to it."

Hearing that she will be leaving again in the future, they began to sulk but nothing will change that fact as they both understand that their mother has duties to fulfill.

The food was prepared quickly and Alayna sat down with the kids and ate together after leaving some for Elena who was still not around.

Only after having a meal was, she courageous enough to drop another bomb at the children, "kids, I found you another big sister and I want you to know that my love for you will never change and no one will replace you. At the same time, I want you to know that I will love all of you the same without any discrimination and I hope that you will accept her with open arms."

To be honest it wasn’t every day that your parent leaves home and in one month she brings back a child. Was this even normal?

"Mom, this… where did you find her?" Neal decided to ask the questions as he could tell that his sister was currently processing the whole big sis news and wasn’t in her right mind.

"I guess I should start from the beginning. It was like ...….."

By the time Alayna was done narrating, Merita was already crying and Alayna was baffled by this. Wasn’t this the same person who was sulking and about to get angry upon knowing that there was a big sister? When did she suddenly turn into a crybaby?

"I won’t bully her; I promise to love her. Mom, she is really pitiful!" Merita bawled once again when she thought of how pitiful Olinda’s life was like.

She was reminded of her and Neal’s situation, if they hadn’t met Alayna, they would be dead by now. So, although it hurt to have someone taking away her mother’s attention and dividing it into three for now as it wasn’t certain how many they will be in the future, it will lessen the pain if she quickly accepts it and made do with it.

She didn’t want to see her mama angry or let her down.
