The city was huge and there were so many business ladies, it was quite different like when she is in Dark Forest where she is the only lady boss.

Alayna felt happy seeing kids who really loved what she was doing so she didn’t mind spending some time with them, "perfect, it’s nice to meet you and if you don’t mind, you can spend the day with my kids too. They are at the hotel."

The girls’ eyes lit up when they heard this, it wasn’t easy to see the lady boss’s children at all and seeing Merita, especially the author of that wonderful book, they became even more excited.

As much as Alayna wanted to explore the city and hear some juicy gossip, she couldn’t just spend her time with kids when her own were cooped up at the hotel.

So, she took the three girls to the hotel where she was staying and introduced the girls to each other. The kids clicked immediately and she got dragged with them to see interesting places.

When it was getting dark, a servant from Janet’s house came to invite her and the kids for dinner at Janet’s house and Alayna didn’t see the need to decline. So, she took her kids with her and went to visit with some gifts.

Janet is the only girl in the family with three brothers, her father has one legal wife and two concubines and the house is very harmonious. Whatever Janet wants, the whole family will do their best to satisfy her.

So, when she started getting curious about the mysterious shop, all they could do was indulge her and give her more allowance but when they tasted the delicacies, they began to support her 100%.

Alayna was satisfied with the way this older man was talking to her that her impression of the family increased further.

She could tell that this family means well, so there was no need for her to raise up her guard.

Alayna and the kids were taken to the living room where everyone introduced each other and they got to know each other well after that.

As it was late, it was time for dinner, so everyone went to the dining room where delicious food was served.

Looking at the smiles on her kid’s faces, she felt a bit bad, it has always been the three of them or four when Neal was still with them, they barely had contact with others.

Maybe it was time to let her kids fly instead of confining them to the house. Every child deserves a happy childhood, she shouldn’t be strict.

The meeting went perfectly well and Alayna also sat down privately with Janet’s father to talk about business-related stuff.

The man wanted to be her partner so they discussed it in detail and some of her pressing issues were also solved on this night.

Alayna wanted to open a second post office in Ciliren at the moment and help from Janet’s father solved that.

Although the problem was solved, Alayna and the kids didn’t leave the city but stayed for more days while she settled in the new building that she bought which was a three-story building.

Receiving Janet’s father’s help lessened the tedious process of going through several channels to acquire a building.

She also contracted one of the best construction teams in the city and left the design for them to deal with.

They stayed for one week in total in Ciliren before returning back home. The magazines were ready and she wanted to distribute them, the one month she had promised before was already due and this was a mistake but she couldn’t be blamed, she had been pressed with a lot of things.

When they reached home, Alayna sat down with the girls to have a one-to-one conversation which was due.

"Girls, I have realized something, and it’s time that we talk. Are you guys’ happy living here by yourselves?"

The kids panicked when they heard this. To be honest, they didn’t lack anything at all, they have other things even the royal family didn’t have like the internet and all that but they were lonely.

They didn’t have friends and online friends were good but they didn’t compare to friends one gets to see face to face.

"I will talk for myself, I am happy being living here because everything that mom gives us, we can’t find it anywhere but I think we need some exposure and make a few friends," Olinda calmly answered as she looked at Alayna with resolute eyes.

"And you Rita?" Alayna directed the question to Merita who was busy playing nervously with her fingers.

"I … umm… can I go to school?" Merita wasn’t interested in going to any sect to cultivate, her talent wasn’t good and she didn’t want to make herself insane by cultivating.

Writing was her passion but somehow, she had missed hanging out with friends and having fun as a kid.

"Are you sure that you want to go to school?"

"Yes, this way I can meet some friends and also expand my horizon. The books require a lot of resources and maybe I can get inspiration by being with others and it doesn’t hurt having more friends," Merita answered Alayna.
