As there were commoners again in Belshoy, Alayna wanted to accommodate them as well but the lower limit will be higher than the limit back home as most villages were very far from the city.

In the city, most people earn over one silver coin monthly so the lower limit for the stokvel was 500 copper coins and 1 level 1 spirit stone, while the upper limit is 50 silver coins and 1 level 2 spirit stone.

There was going to be only five batches and anyone who wanted something different will just do on their own. The first batch being the lower limit 500 copper coins followed by 1 silver coin, 2 silver coins, 5 silver coins, 10 silver coins and 50 silver coins.

The people will register in a group that they can afford and to make sure that no one will swindle others as this was a city, there was going to be strict screening and the individuals will be required to provide some basic identification documents and proof of employment.

Alayna prepared several boxes of cards and registration books for this. She didn’t forget to print several copies that talked about the stokvel program and what is needed.

The next day, Alayna wasn’t planning on working inside but found a comfortable chair and a desk and sat outside. Nancy was working on the third till and Olinda was helping her outside.

Olinda was intrigued after reading a copy and she decided to give a helping hand as the girls were now used to working by themselves.

Seeing the lady boss outside, people wondered what the other was up to so the courageous ones went ahead to ask.

The alley was very quiet, even the neighbors also joined at some point to listen to this wonderful idea that shocked those that were already there and those that recently joined.

Immediately after saying this, hands were raised and Olinda who had been listening as well couldn’t help but look at her adoptive mother with stars in her eyes.

The people watched reluctantly as Alayna was taken away by Selena who heard the news of what Alayna was doing.

Alayna helplessly raised her hands in defeat as Selena gave her an earful of how she kept such a good thing to herself without telling her.

Alayna spent a lot of time with Selena and some of the noble women that she was acquainted with as she explained in detail about the stokvel program.

In the end, the ladies wanted to join as well and Alayna found her first group of stokvelers who wanted to join the upper limit group. Alayna didn’t mind receiving such reputable people as she can also make friends in the process.

Alayna noted down the information of the ladies and decided to have their information recorded in a V.I.P book as she didn’t want anyone to get hold of such information.

The month was about to end so the five ladies wanted to start as soon as possible. She also helped them to pick their numbers that will be used when receiving money, after all everyone wants to be first so having a partial person in the mix was a huge help.

Alayna returned to the shop was surprised to see the long line that was waiting for Nancy who was currently in charge of registering the people.

Alayna was very happy with this and she decided to lessen the workload of Nancy. The desk appeared once more outside and Olinda tagged along. The security was there to maintain order and they were doing a great job.

The whole afternoon was spent recording names and sorting people into one group after another. To avoid troubles, they were all mixed and some of them don’t even know each other. Each individual will bring the money to the shop on a certain date and on another date the money will be handed over to the owner.

It was a busy week as people kept on coming and registering. There were few groups of 10 and 50 silver coins. But for 500 copper coins to 5 silver coins, they were so many that Nancy was going crazy.

The target was to finish registering before month end arrives as people will be expected to bring the money by then. So, they were done in just three days registering the first batch of people.
