Transmigrated to Another World and Doted on by Everyone!-Chapter 231: Extra: Little Mermaid (Part 9)
Rong Xingyu picked up a cup of one of the "drinks" and held it under his nose.
A rich and sweet fruity fragrance rushed toward him.
Was it fruit juice?
Rong Xingyu smacked his lips twice, his eyes seeming to light up even more.
Holding the vividly colored "drink," he slowly brought it to his mouth and then he gulped it down in one go.
When Ding Yixin returned after being away for less than three minutes, what he saw was a tipsy little glutton who had to lean against the dessert table just to stay standing.
Ding Yixin: "..." 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Ding Yixin quickly stepped forward and caught Rong Xingyu’s unsteady body in one motion.
The youth naturally went soft and collapsed into Ding Yixin’s arms.
Ding Yixin lowered his head to look at him and immediately felt the scent of alcohol mixed with the young man’s unique fragrance wash over him.
Ding Yixin: "..."
He had only been gone for a few minutes.
He hadn’t even had time to keep an eye on him, how had he already gotten this drunk?
Then he looked at the several empty wine glasses in front of Rong Xingyu, all tilted and scattered.
A wave of helplessness rose in Ding Yixin’s heart, it turned out this little glutton had been secretly drinking alcohol.
"Yuyu?" Ding Yixin called softly. "Are you okay?"
Rong Xingyu was already overtaken by drunkenness.
His head felt dizzy and heavy, and he had barely been able to stand even before, relying on the dessert table to avoid falling over.
Now that Ding Yixin had an arm around him, he simply leaned all of his weight onto Ding Yixin’s body.
In Ding Yixin’s arms, Rong Xingyu tilted his head back and stared at him without blinking.
After a long while, Rong Xingyu grinned, revealing a somewhat silly smile.
"General... Ding, General Ding..." Rong Xingyu shook his head slightly, trying to sober himself up.
But his unfocused, drifting gaze had already completely exposed the fact that he was not sober at all.
Rong Xingyu raised his hand and pressed his palm against Ding Yixin’s cheek with a clear pa sound.
He was already drunk and had no real strength in his hand, yet the slap still produced a distinct sound.
The other people around who had already been secretly paying attention to what was happening over there could not help but suck in sharp breaths of cold air, hissing collectively.
Th-this... wasn’t General Ding’s little boyfriend being far too bold?!
In front of so many people, he actually put his hands on him just like that, showing absolutely no regard for General Ding’s dignity at all!
They watched as Rong Xingyu’s hand continued to pinch Ding Yixin’s face back and forth a few times.
Yet Ding Yixin merely lowered his head slightly and allowed the youth’s hands to "do whatever they wanted."
Not only was there not the slightest trace of anger on his face, the indulgence in his eyes was so obvious it made people’s teeth ache just from looking at it.
Everyone: "..."
Alright, so they were just worrying for nothing.
What boldness? That was clearly something General Ding had spoiled him into!
Meanwhile, Rong Xingyu was still holding Ding Yixin’s face with both hands.
All of a sudden, he seemed to get angry, his voice rising a little as he spoke, "Y-you... you’re not allowed to move!"
Ding Yixin who is standing completely still: "..."
"Y-you, don’t shake anymore," Rong Xingyu’s hands continued to apply force, but his voice softened again as he spoke haltingly, "You’re shaking so much that I... I feel a little dizzy..."
Ding Yixin’s temple twitched sharply.
It was clearly this little drunk cat who was swaying all over the place and couldn’t stand steadily at all, yet he still dared to accuse someone else first.
As if whoever spoke first automatically had more justification.
Ding Yixin found it amusing in his heart, but before he could say anything, he heard Rong Xingyu ask him in confusion, "General Ding... Why do you have two heads now?"
Ding Yixin: "..."
The scene suddenly turned rather horrifying.
"Y-you humans are so strange... you actually, actually have two..." Rong Xingyu didn’t finish his sentence.
The latter half turned into a small cry of surprise.
Because his body suddenly left the ground, Ding Yixin had directly scooped Rong Xingyu up into his arms and holding him horizontally.
"You’re drunk, Yuyu," Ding Yixin said in a low voice. "I’m taking you home."
After giving the banquet host a brief nod of acknowledgment, he carried Rong Xingyu straight toward the exit.
Fortunately, Rong Xingyu was already so drunk that he was completely "fish-brained" and unaware of everything; otherwise, he would definitely have pouted in dissatisfaction and protested.
He had only been at the banquet for such a short time, and he had not even tasted all those desserts yet, was he really going home already?
However, after getting drunk, Rong Xingyu’s little temper did not flare up. His mind could no longer function properly, and all he wanted was to sleep.
He obediently rested his head against Ding Yixin’s shoulder, his upper and lower eyelids nearly sticking together.
"Wan... wanna sleep," Rong Xingyu muttered softly.
Ding Yixin gently kissed Rong Xingyu on the forehead and said in a low, soothing voice, "Then sleep."
With Ding Yixin saying that, Rong Xingyu seemed to feel reassured. His head tilted into Ding Yixin’s arms, and before long, he fell asleep.
Ding Yixin maintained that posture, holding Rong Xingyu the entire time. It was not until they returned to the bedroom that Rong Xingyu groggily woke up again.
He had been forcibly awakened by a ball of fire that suddenly ignited inside his body.
Rong Xingyu frowned tightly and beads of sweat seeping out on his forehead.
At first, that fire roamed through his body, but gradually, it all gathered toward the area below his lower abdomen.
An ominous premonition suddenly surged in Rong Xingyu’s heart.
He struggled desperately in Ding Yixin’s arms.
