Transmigrated to Another World and Doted on by Everyone!-Chapter 224: Extra: Little Mermaid (Part 2)
Where was the shore?
Was he supposed to hold onto this person and swim all the way to land?
Rong Xingyu pressed his lips together.
He began to suspect that Grandpa Sea Turtle had actually been fooling him with that story all along.
Just how exactly had Ariel in the story managed to rescue a grown man from the depths of the sea and bring him to shore?!
Looking at the youth with his head drooping and completely unconscious, Rong Xingyu even briefly wondered whether he should just toss the person back into the sea again.
The little mermaid hurriedly shook his head and forcefully casting that thought out of his mind.
Forget it, forget it.
Resigned to his fate, Rong Xingyu began to swing his tail and swim toward the nearest shore.
What he did not expect, however, was that at that very moment, a light suddenly appeared on the surface of the sea not far away.
It was a boat!
And the light was growing brighter and brighter, the boat was clearly approaching them.
Rong Xingyu excitedly waved his arms and shouted loudly, "Over here! Over here!"
The rescue boat heard Rong Xingyu’s voice and sped toward them.
There were only two people on the small boat.
The standing man reached out and pulled the unconscious youth aboard.
Mermaids had extremely strong night vision.
Even in the darkness, Rong Xingyu could see the man’s face with perfect clarity.
He could not help but freeze.
This man, this man was far too good looking!
The little mermaid did not bother to hide it at all.
He stared openly and boldly at the man, his eyes shining brightly, making no effort whatsoever to conceal his fondness for him.
Perhaps it could be said that it was an affection for his looks.
The man’s features were exceptionally handsome.
He wore his long hair loose and a pair of gold rimmed glasses rested on the bridge of his nose, perfectly matching Rong Xingyu’s aesthetic preferences.
Ding Yixin felt the little mermaid’s "burning" gaze and, by the dim light, clearly saw the breathtakingly beautiful face of the youth in the water.
The youth was soaked from head to toe, looking just like a sea demon from legend who could bewitch the hearts of others.
A flash of amazement crossed Ding Yixin’s eyes, but it was quickly suppressed by other emotions.
He then bent down and extended his hand toward Rong Xingyu while saying gently, "Come."
Rong Xingyu did not hesitate at all.
He placed his hand into Ding Yixin’s and allowed the man to pull him up onto the small boat as well.
Beneath the water, his fishtail transformed into a pair of legs.
But ..
Ding Yixin suddenly looked sharply behind him.
Only after seeing that his subordinate had lowered his head and was not looking in their direction did his expression ease slightly.
Ding Yixin looked at the completely naked youth he had just pulled aboard: "..."
The youth’s skin was very fair and under the moonlight it gleamed like fine jade, smooth and lustrous.
Yet he sat there just like that while innocently saying to Ding Yixin, "You’re really good looking, better looking than the person I just saved."
Ding Yixin coughed lightly.
He took off his own coat and draped it over the youth’s body.
Fortunately, the youth was small framed.
Ding Yixin’s coat looked loose on him and was able to cover the awkward parts.
However, Rong Xingyu’s long and slender legs were still blatantly exposed.
Ding Yixin deliberately shifted his gaze away and crouched down to check on the unconscious Rong Feng.
"I know how to do this!" Rong Xingyu wanted to show off a little in front of the person he liked, so he leaned in as well.
He remembered how he had seen other humans do it before.
Wasn’t it just putting mouth to mouth and blowing air?
It’s super simple.
So Rong Xingyu placed his hands on Rong Feng’s body and was about to lower his head, face to face.
But before his head could fully lower, he was stopped by Ding Yixin, whose temples were twitching and reaching out to pull him back.
Ding Yixin said, "There’s no need for artificial respiration. I’ll do it."
He pressed on Ding Wei’s chest a few times.
Fortunately, Ding Wei had only choked on some water.
He soon tilted his head and after coughed up the water he woke up.
He struggled to open his eyes.
When he saw Ding Yixin, he hoarsely called out, "Uncle."
Then, he fainted again.
Rong Xingyu lost his chance to perform in front of the man and felt a little dejected inside.
"I’m the one who saved him," Rong Xingyu emphasized to Ding Yixin. "It wasn’t anyone else."
Rong Xingyu still remembered the story the sea turtle had told him.
Ariel had been unable to speak, which was why the prince had mistaken the rescuer for someone else, leading to the tragedy that followed.
So he absolutely had to let this man know that it was he who had saved the youth.
"But I don’t like him," Rong Xingyu said a little unhappily as he pinched his own fingers.
He looked at Ding Yixin and found that he still liked this face much more.
"I like you more," Rong Xingyu said gloomily. "Why wasn’t it you who fell into the sea just now?"
If the man had been the one who fell into the sea, Rong Xingyu was certain he could have dragged him all the way back to shore and wouldn’t have minded being tired at all.
Hearing Rong Xingyu muttering softly like this, Ding Yixin: "..."
He raised a hand and patted Rong Xingyu on the head, finding it somewhat amusing, and deliberately said, "It’s fine. He’s my nephew. You saving him is the same as saving me."
"Really?"
Upon hearing Ding Yixin say that, the small bit of dejection in Rong Xingyu’s heart immediately vanished.
Well then, in that case, there was no need to make the man jump into the sea so he could rescue him once more.
