Transmigrated to Another World and Doted on by Everyone!-Chapter 176: The Recorded Truth
"If it weren’t for you, how could my final grade have been voided?"
Pan Yinhu’s voice sounded as though it were being squeezed out from between clenched teeth, strange and distorted.
"My scholarship, and all my opportunities, they’re all gone! Completely gone! You destroyed everything!!"
"What the hell are you spouting, Pan Yinhu!" Ye Shiyuan had just returned from outside the dormitory when he saw Pan Yinhu aggressively confronting Rong Xingyu.
Ye Shiyuan quickly run forward and stood in front of Rong Xingyu, blocking him protectively.
It was as if he was afraid Pan Yinhu might suddenly lose his mind again and hurt Rong Xingyu.
Rong Xingyu: Actually, he could take on a whole row of Pan Yinhus like this.
Seeing the blatant disgust in Ye Shiyuan’s eyes, Pan Yinhu immediately raised his voice and questioned Rong Xingyu loudly, "Am I wrong? Wasn’t it you who plagiarized my assignment?! On what grounds was my final grade voided?!"
Pan Yinhu’s voice was like sharp nails scraping against glass.
"The more lies you tell, the more you end up believing them yourself," Rong Xingyu suddenly felt that Pan Yinhu like this was somewhat pitiful, but he would not feel even a shred of sympathy for him.
"Do you have any shame left?" Ye Shiyuan stared at Pan Yinhu in disbelief, as if he were looking at some kind of monster.
He truly had never seen someone with such thick skin.
"Xingyu and I have already found the person who tampered with his data..."
At that moment, Rong Xingyu’s phone suddenly chimed.
Rong Xingyu picked up the phone from the desk and saw that there were two new messages from Ding Yixin.
One was a text message and the other appeared to be an audio file.
The text simply told Rong Xingyu that this was the evidence and suggested that Rong Xingyu play it for Pan Yinhu to hear.
Since Ding Yixin had said so, Rong Xingyu had no reason to doubt it.
He directly tapped on the audio file that Ding Yixin had sent to him.
After turning the phone’s volume up, Rong Xingyu placed it on the desk.
He himself folded his arms and leaned against the edge of the table, listening quietly.
Very soon, Pan Yinhu’s voice came clearly from the phone’s speaker.
It was completely different from the sharp, almost grating tone he had just now. Pan Yinhu was clearly talking to someone on the phone.
Only Pan Yinhu’s side of the conversation could be heard at first. He said, "Senior, what you’re doing is wrong."
The person on the other end of the line was silent for a while before finally speaking.
Pan Yinhu had not put the call on speaker, so under normal circumstances, the other person’s voice should not have been audible.
But in this recording, for some reason, the other person’s voice had been amplified to a normal volume, making it possible to clearly hear what he was saying.
Thus, another person’s voice came through the recording.
His voice was hoarse. "I’ve already done it. I changed all of Rong Xingyu’s data and backups."
Rong Xingyu’s fingers, which had been lightly tapping against his arm, paused for a moment. He then exchanged a glance with Ye Shiyuan.
It was that boy in the lab wearing the black pullover hoodie!
The boy continued, "Yinhu, I copied his original data and sent it to your email."
In the recording, Pan Yinhu did not speak, but his slightly hurried breathing revealed that his emotions were far from calm.
"Senior, why did you do this?" Pan Yinhu’s voice sounded troubled.
Perhaps Pan Yinhu’s attitude made the person on the other end suddenly grow agitated. He was almost shouting softly into the receiver: "Because I understand you! I know the pain of having a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity right in front of you, only to have it forcibly snatched away by so-called friends!!"
"You saved my life, and it was only because of your guidance that I managed to pull myself out. Don’t worry, I won’t let you walk the same old road I did."
"Senior, please calm down a bit. I still have things to do, so I’ll hang up first."
After Pan Yinhu hung up the call, his voice immediately became careless.
If Rong Xingyu had not heard it with his own ears, he would never have imagined that Pan Yinhu could use such a mocking tone to say, "Idiot."
"They’re all a bunch of idiots," Pan Yinhu sneered.
It sounded as if he was rummaging through something, and then Pan Yinhu could be heard muttering to himself, "No wonder he’s latched onto a rich boyfriend. Even his phone is the latest top-tier model."
Rong Xingyu abruptly looked toward Pan Yinhu.
From the moment Pan Yinhu heard his own voice coming from the recording, his face had started to turn pale and his eyes had begun to dart around evasively.
Rong Xingyu suddenly realized that this phone call of Pan Yinhu’s might have been made right where he usually sat!
If that were the case, how exactly had this audio been recorded?
Someone as cautious as Pan Yinhu would probably not leave any call recordings on his own phone.
A flash of inspiration crossed Rong Xingyu’s mind, could it have been his own phone?
Very soon, Pan Yinhu’s words in the recording confirmed Rong Xingyu’s guess, Because Pan Yinhu in the recording could be heard muttering in what sounded like a complaint, "What’s the password? Why can’t I unlock this phone?"
Then it sounded like Pan Yinhu heard something and he tossed the phone onto the desk.
Soon after, Rong Xingyu’s own voice also came through the recording.
"Yinhu, weren’t you going to the lab? Why are you back so quickly?"
There was a hint of confusion in Pan Yinhu’s voice, along with a faint smile.
"I forgot my phone, so I came back to get it."
As soon as Rong Xingyu finished speaking, the audio clip came to an abrupt end.
