Liam looked at the two beast women with a frown. He did not approve their behaviors and he could tell that this was not going to end with a simple apology. Of all people they could have provoked, why did they target Sienna Veythar? She had beaten Patience Murchison with a pan on live stream. The fox lord had not punished her and the rumor was that the Murchison’s were off to prison.

Without knowing where she stood in Elias Veythar’s heart, only a fool would provoke Sienna.

Mrs. Miller coughed softly.

"It’s okay mom." Soren whispered.

Sienna’s heart clenched, her anger multiplied.

"Even if you are the wife of the Lord fox, we cannot admit them," one of the women said, voice dripping with false courtesy. "The suites in this hotel are reserved for dignitaries, nobles and the wealthy. All beast men. An exception can be made for you, but your companions do not qualify."

"You dare to deny entry to the family of Lady Veythar?" Shalin’s voice rang clear, sharp as a blade. "Do you not recognize who stands before you?"

The second receptionist smirked. "Rules are rules. You may stay but your guests have to find lodging elsewhere."

Sienna stepped forward, she placed her hand upon the counter, nails tapping once, twice, thrice, "Rules," she said, her tone heavy with disdain, "bend before authority and I am the second highest ranking authority in this city."

Lian shifted uneasily. The other receptionists were as wary as him. Even the guests that were checking in or out stopped what they were doing.

Sienna’s eyes swept the lobby, catching the eyes of the guards, guests, attendants and every entity around. She raised her chin, her voice carrying like a commandment, "Since you want to use your little authority over me then I will use my major authority over you." She turned to the two beast women. "You have insulted me, denied my family, and spat on the dignity of the Veythar’s. You have embarrassed this city. For that, you are dismissed."

The two receptionists stiffened. "Dismissed?" one echoed, ears flattening.

Sienna’s lips curved into a cold smile. "Fired. I may not own this hotel but I can pull strings to have it evaluated again, starting with it’s policies. Guards, remove them."

All was still for a moment. Nobody knew how this was going to proceed.

The guards hesitated, but Sienna’s gaze was iron. Slowly, they stepped forward, seizing the receptionists by their arms. The women protested, but the guards dragged them away. The lobby fell silent, the weight of Sienna’s dominance pressing upon every beast-man present.

The manager, a tall fox beast man with silver ears, hurried forward, bowing deeply. "Lady Sienna, forgive us, we had no idea you were here. I apologize for my staff. They acted without wisdom. Please, allow me to---"

Sienna cut him off with a raised hand. "Your apologies mean nothing to me, but I will take them into consideration. Word of advise, hire employees that understand their duty. The receptionists give the first impression of your establishment. A bad one will send guests away forever and those guests will spread the word to others. Clawspire does not need a hotel with a trashy reputation."

"Yes, my lady." The manager bowed again.

"Now," Sienna said, her voice softer but no less commanding, "show us to your best rooms and fetch a doctor for my mother."

The manager bowed a third time, "Yes, Lady Sienna. At once."

Sienna’s group was led away. The air lightened finally, guests murmured in shock, some in awe.

"Did you see the pan?" One asked.

"It is as shiny as it appears in her videos." Someone said. "Too bad we didn’t get to see her hit something with it."

Those who recorded videos posted them on BeastNet, continuing to keep Sienna steadily on top of the trending topics.

Meanwhile, within minutes, Sienna, her mother and brother were escorted to the luxury suite at the top of the hotel. The suite was vast, its walls lined with shimmering crystal. It’s floors carpeted in velvet. A panoramic view of the city stretched before them.

Sienna guided her mother to the cushioned chair, while Soren hovered protectively. Then, she flicked her hand, ordering food and drink. Before they scurried away, the doctor she had ordered for arrived.

He was a wolf beast man with steady hands and sharp eyes. He bowed to Sienna before kneeling beside her mother, examining her with care. Sienna watched keenly, ensuring no negligence would be tolerated. She had very little trust in the employees of this hotel.

When she was sure that there were no shortcuts being taken, Sienna walked to the window, gazing down at the city. From there, she could almost see the malls she had never visited, but she intended to.
