Transmigrated: The Lycan King's Pet-Chapter 398 Shattered
Time seemed to freeze. Seraphina’s eyes widened in horror as Alaric fell backward, his body hitting the ground with a dull, sickening thud. Blood pooled beneath him instantly.
"No," she whispered, her voice breaking completely as she dropped to her knees beside him. "No no no."
Alaric looked up at her, his breathing shallow, his lips trembling as he tried to smile. "At least I get to protect you," he murmured weakly.
Tears streamed down Seraphina’s face as she cradled his head in her hands, her magic flaring wildly around them. "I can heal you," she sobbed. "Just hold on... Please."
He shook his head slightly, his fingers trembling as he reached up to brush against her cheek. "You already did," he whispered. "You protected everyone... You really are the best mate I could ever ask for." Tears filled his eyes, making them sparkle like green gems under water.
His eyes softened, filled with so much love it shattered what little control she had left. "I am proud of you," he said faintly. "My Queen."
His hand slipped from her face, falling to the ground with a thud.
"AAARRRGHHH!"
Seraphina screamed.
The sound tore through the battlefield, raw and broken and filled with grief so deep it shook the land itself. The magic around her exploded outward, the barrier expanding violently as her power surged beyond restraint.
The Greater Evil stumbled back, her eyes widening for the first time in genuine alarm.
Seraphina rose slowly to her feet, her face soaked with tears, her eyes glowing brighter than ever before.
"You," she said, her voice no longer just her own, but layered with every Queen who came before her. "You will pay!"
Seraphina’s chest arched forward and her head backward, she muttered enchantments. A stream of blood flowed out from her chest. "Take me as a living sacrifice."
A huge red pentagram formed on the ground, it was as red and dark as blood.
"It is soul entrapment." The Greater Evil muttered. She quickly withdrew the golden orb from the sky, and she placed it at the center of her chest. "It’ll only backfire against you as long as the golden orb is with me there is nothing you can do to hurt me." She said forming a barrier around herself.
Seraphina’s skin was covered with red veins, creeping towards her head. Before the veins could reach her cheeks, it suddenly stopped, a blue magic wrapped around her, pulling her out of the center of the ritual.
She struggled against the pull, but it was useless. The magic was ancient and powerful, when she looked back at the owner of the magic.
A man with striking blue eyes, and long white hair, his wings were as majestic as those of the angels. His white and gold war suit made his aura more domineering. Behind him were armies from the fae realm.
"Killing yourself isn’t the right way, you need to watch your enemies perish... that is the real meaning of revenge." Zeir’s voice echoed through the battlefield.
Seraphina’s eyes darkened as she stared back at the mysterious man. "You don’t get told what to do." She snapped, her voice trembling from both pain and anger.
"We both have a common enemy," Zeir replied.
And with that, he commanded his armies to surround the Greater witch. Soon magic hurled straight at the barrier she was hiding in.
She let out a sharp laugh. "You think you can stop me!" She let out a scream, and her magic blast through the air like a clean knife, slamming straight into the Fae. They fell to the ground one after the other. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Zeir’s gaze darkened, with one swift movement, vines shot out of the ground, wrapping around the Greater Evil’s hands and legs, locking her into place. Zeir flew straight down, channeling all his magic to his sword pointing to her chest.
"This is for my niece!" He yelled.
The Greater Evil’s eyes widened as she stared at the incoming death. She muttered something under her breath and the golden orb shone brightly, flowing straight for the incoming sword.
Boom.
The collision sent debris flying and the aftermath of the shock sliced through the air, pushing every standing creature backward.
Zeir was hurled back by the force, his back slamming against the ground. His body jerked as blood splattered from his mouth.
As long as the Greater Evil had the golden orb, whose magic was ancient and powerful. She would remain invisible.

(Ember POV)
Suddenly, a strong magical force sliced through the air from a distance, in the direction of the castle.
"Keep watch over here." The Greater Evil said with an alarming voice before disappearing the next second.
Alpha Lucas’ fingers tightened in my hair, and pain tore through my scalp.
Beowulf raced towards me, his ferocious growl and snarl filling the distance between us. His eyes burned with anger and bloodthirst.
"Stop him." Alpha Lucas barked at the werewolves behind him.
At his command, the werewolves rushed forward to stop Beowulf. Beowulf swiftly maneuvered from an attack from his left, and he swung his claws at him, throwing the werewolf feet away.
The werewolves gathered around his massive body, giving him no breathing space. His fangs ripping, heads, legs, and hands off. The body parts flew in the air before falling to the ground. Whimpers, growls, and snarls filled the air.
In the next second, the werewolves were all lying on the ground, dead with missing body parts. Beowulf stepped forward, completely red from head to limbs. He threw out a paw from his mouth with a nonchalant look. His silver grey eyes narrowed at the man behind my back.
He walked slowly towards us, his body exuding dominance and power, yet his eyes... burned with a brewing storm.
"Damon," I whispered.
Suddenly, a scream was heard from afar, and Beowulf’s steps faltered. His sharp eyes contorted with pain, and he suddenly let out a painful howl, whimpering from a sudden broken bond.
"Damon!" I yelled.
However, a cold sound clicked beside my ears, and before I could realize what was going on. The sound of a gun firing echoed through the air. The bullet whizzed past me, and in the next second, it pierced straight into Beowulf who was still lost in pain.
The world stilled for a moment, my heart stilled, and everything felt like someone had hit the pause button, but it didn’t last long before everything shattered.
Beowulf fell to the ground, his body flickering between his wolf form and his human form.
"Damon," I muttered under my breath as my heart clenched so hard that it felt like someone had shackled it with a red burning lock.
"Damon!!!"
