Transmigrated as the Stepmother of a Rebellious Heir-Chapter 190 - 121 Mind Your Own Business
Chapter 190: Chapter 121 Mind Your Own Business
"Once the words were out, the director had no choice but to add Shu Wan’s WeChat."
"By this time, it was nearing the end of the workday in the evening, and neither Shu Wan nor Fu Siyu lingered any longer, leaving the research institute quickly."
"Back at the estate, the housekeeper had already arranged dinner, waiting for Shu Wan and Fu Siyu to return."
"Where’s Fu Yang?"
"Both were seated, and Fu Yang hadn’t appeared yet, so Shu Wan asked."
"The young master had returned before you did, he seemed unhappy and went upstairs immediately."
"Fu Yang often wore an unhappy expression, so the housekeeper and everyone else had grown accustomed to it."
"Ask him to come down," Fu Siyu said at that moment.
"Alright."
"However, three minutes later, the housekeeper came downstairs with a troubled expression."
"Young master, the young master said he is not hungry and told you not to bother about him."
Fu Siyu’s expression darkened slightly, "Then let’s leave him be."
Fu Siyu turned to Shu Wan, "Let’s eat, just the two of us."
"Alright."
Although she had just recently marveled at it, Shu Wan couldn’t help but both cry and laugh when she saw how well Fu Siyu understood her food preferences, "How do you know so well what I like to eat?"
"The housekeeper told me," Fu Siyu explained briefly.
"Alright."
The housekeeper stood by, his expression slightly odd.
How did it become something he said? My dear master, aren’t you the one who asks every day?
Fu Yang did not come down until they had finished their meal.
After washing up, Shu Wan hesitated but still went to Fu Yang’s door.
She knocked, and Fu Yang’s impatient voice came from inside, "Everyone go away, stop bothering me."
"Fu Yang, open the door."
"I won’t."
After Fu Yang spoke, Shu Wan fell silent, not saying another word.
She quietly stood at the door, and in less than a minute, the door opened.
Seeing her, Fu Yang huffed, "What do you want?"
"Why aren’t you coming down to eat?"
"I don’t want to eat," said Fu Yang as he walked back into the room, "Why do you even care about this?"
Having dealt with Fu Yang for so long, Shu Wan of course knew his personality.
His expression was clearly screaming, "I’m unhappy."
"Your dad is going abroad the day after tomorrow," Shu Wan followed Fu Yang inside, "Aren’t you going to have a meal with him?"
"What’s there to eat," Fu Yang toyed with the earphones in his hand, "Let him go abroad if he wants, what does it have to do with me?"
Looking at Fu Yang’s indifferent attitude, Shu Wan’s brows furrowed slightly.
Fu Yang’s resistance to Fu Siyu was so strong that Shu Wan didn’t even know how to talk to him about it.
It was late, and Shu Wan wasn’t planning to say more. She turned around, ready to leave.
However, she had only taken a few steps when she noticed a magazine on the table.
The magazine wasn’t special, but it caught Shu Wan’s eye mainly because it was from the company she had visited today.
In the morning after completing her photoshoot, Shu Wan walked out but didn’t see Fu Yang. Without thinking much, she assumed he had already left.
Added to that, when she received a call from Liu Zhaodi at that time, Shu Wan left immediately.
Looking back now, perhaps Fu Yang hadn’t left at the time.
At that moment, Fu Yang also noticed the magazine on the table. His expression changed slightly as he walked over and threw the magazine into the trash.
"They give these out in street promotions, it’s ugly. I don’t know why you would shoot something like this, it has no class."
"I owe you an apology," Shu Wan suddenly spoke up.
Fu Yang paused, turning around in surprise, "Apologize for what?"
"I had some business at noon and left straight away, forgetting to call you and ask where you were."
"It doesn’t concern me. I wasn’t waiting for you." Fu Yang scoffed, "You don’t think I’d wait for you to get off work, do you? You think too highly of yourself."
Shu Wan ignored Fu Yang’s sarcasm, "Next time something comes up, I’ll contact you in advance. I’m heading back home now, you should go to bed early too."
Having said that, Shu Wan stepped forward and patted Fu Yang on the shoulder, "Goodnight."
After that, Shu Wan left.
After she left, Fu Yang still stood in the same spot, his shoulder retaining a lingering force.
Thinking of the apology Shu Wan had just made, his eyes flickered slightly.
The clear light fell on him, casting a glow in his eyes. After a moment, Fu Yang pursed his lips, "Psh, as if I care."
He lowered his head, glanced at the magazine in the trash, and went to pick it up again.
The next morning, Fu Yang was sitting downstairs playing with his phone, looking as usual.
As Shu Wan came down the stairs and saw him, she knew her guess last night was correct.
Although Fu Yang looked like a college student, both in terms of height and appearance, he was still childishly immature.
Shu Wan walked downstairs, tapped the table with her finger, "Where are you planning to go today?"
"Don’t bother about it." Fu Yang responded without looking up, then asked Shu Wan, "What are you doing?"
"I’m going to the studio to film this morning. In the afternoon, I’m planning to attend a charity dinner."
"Oh," Fu Yang replied indifferently, "That annoying agent of yours lost five hundred yuan to me last time. I’ll go with you later to get the money."
"Okay."
While they were talking, Fu Siyu also came down from upstairs.
Fu Yang glanced at him, "Some people dress up all prim and proper at home as if they’re about to go to a meeting in the Great Hall, don’t they ever get tired?"
Shu Wan smiled and shook her head, thinking she probably knew why Fu Yang always disliked Fu Siyu, and why Fu Siyu put up with him.
"What kind of way is that to sit?" Fu Siyu ignored Fu Yang’s comment on his clothes and looked displeasedly at Fu Yang’s feet resting on the table, "Put them down."
Instead, Fu Yang was rebellious. The more Fu Siyu asked him not to prop his legs up, the more he wanted to. He promptly rested his other leg on the table too, "Don’t boss me around."
So now he knows how to control me? Where was he before?
Hearing Fu Yang’s words, Fu Siyu’s eyes darkened slightly, but ultimately he said nothing. He walked over to Shu Wan, "I heard you’re going to the charity event this evening."
"Yes, it seems the organizer is also somewhat affiliated with your corporation."
"That’s right, we are one of the organizers," Fu Siyu glanced at his watch, "I’m heading to the office now. If I have time this evening, I’ll take you to the dinner."
"No worries, you go ahead."
Fu Siyu briefly greeted Shu Wan, then left the living room.
Seeing Fu Siyu leave, Fu Yang finally took his legs off the table, "Trying to control everything."
Shu Wan sat at the dining table and glanced discreetly at Fu Yang.
Seeing Fu Yang wiping the area where his feet had been resting with a tissue, a hint of amusement flashed through Shu Wan’s eyes.
No matter how wild and unruly he appeared to be, the manners ingrained in him since childhood were still embedded in his bones.
