Transmigrated as the Stepmother of a Rebellious Heir-Chapter 133 - 78 Happy_2
Chapter 133: Chapter 78 Happy_2
He was nearly pulling out the tufts of green from his hair, still unable to understand how Shu Wan could have gotten married and so young to become someone’s stepmother.
By Fu Yang’s age, that man must be at least in his forties or fifties.
What a disaster!!
Once this news broke out, Shu Wan’s entire acting career would be ruined immediately.
"You stay out of this," Wang Tian decided on the spot. The priority now was to manage the rumors of them being a couple, "I’ll have someone clarify right now that he’s a younger cousin from your relative’s side."
As soon as he finished speaking, Wang Tian hung up the phone, preparing to start clarifying the rumors and rapidly managing the crisis with paid trolls.
But it was already too late.
Because an account named "Lin Yang" had directly forwarded the explosive Weibo posts from netizens and commented, "This is my stepmom, don’t sicken me with such disgusting words."
Very soon, the Weibo post was swarming with onlookers.
[Stepmother?!! Damn, no wonder there were always rumors on set that Shu Wan brought financial backing to the project. To be a stepmom to such a big kid, you really have to have some strong mental fortitude.]
[Honestly... if the stepson is this kind of handsome and beautiful young man, being a stepmother isn’t unacceptable. My maternal affection for Lin Yang has reached its peak.]
[But no matter what, Shu Wan is still quite disgusting, isn’t she? With a son that old, how ancient must his dad be? Tsk tsk, to go to such lengths for money, Shu Wan really can tough it out.]
Fu Yang’s original intention with this Weibo post was to clear up the ridiculous couple rumor, but he hadn’t expected that the stepmother identity would cause such controversy for Shu Wan.
He promptly deleted the Weibo post, but the netizens had already taken many screenshots, and the term "Shu Wan stepmom" instantly exploded across all the hot search lists.
Wang Tian even somehow got hold of Fu Yang’s phone number, called him up and lashed out, "Brother, can you not use your brain? A beautiful young woman becomes a stepmother to a 14-year-old boy; do you really want to ruin your stepmom’s career in the entertainment circle?"
Normally, Fu Yang was someone who exploded at the slightest provocation, but at the moment, facing Wang Tian’s accusation, he was miraculously quite silent.
After a long pause, Fu Yang finally spoke, "So what do we do now?"
"How would I know what to do?" Wang Tian had managed so many artists, handling revelations of dating, marriages, and even childbirth.
But he had never dealt with an exposed stepmom identity before. He decided to look up which rivers were deep enough to consider jumping in directly and just be done with it.
Wang Tian was furious and hung up the phone.
Listening to the dial tone on the other end, Fu Yang anxiously scratched his head.
Glancing at the room next door, he hesitated for a while but eventually stood up.
In the next room over, Shu Wan was focused on her work when suddenly someone knocked on the door. She looked up and then swiftly stowed the test papers into the cabinet, "Come in."
The door opened and Fu Yang stood at the entrance, his gaze flickering slightly.
"Do you need something?" Shu Wan asked indifferently, "Come in first and then talk."
Fu Yang walked in, sat down on the sofa without a word, and Shu Wan glanced at him, her eyes briefly lifting at the sight of the sweatshirt he was wearing.
That was the style Shu Wan had picked out.
"Just now," Fu Yang began, then pursed his lips, as if unsure how to continue.
"You came at the right time." Shu Wan picked up two sets of papers from the table, "Do these two sets of papers for me."
Fu Yang frowned, "Why?"
"Can’t you?" Shu Wan didn’t provide a reason, instead she just looked straight at Fu Yang.
Her expression seemed unchanged, yet inexplicably forlorn under the light.
Fu Yang couldn’t help but recall the attacks on Shu Wan in the comments under the Weibo post he had just made.
If he hadn’t posted that Weibo acknowledging Shu Wan as his stepmom, maybe there wouldn’t have been such a huge controversy, as Wang Tian had said.
Fu Yang slightly lowered his gaze, "Alright, let me see what papers these are."
Shu Wan placed the two sets of papers in front of him, "Call me once you’re done."
Fu Yang looked down and was a bit surprised, "These questions are handwritten by you?"
"I prefer to copy the questions myself." Shu Wan breezed past the topic, "Just get on with it."
"Alright." Perhaps out of a sense of guilt, Fu Yang didn’t resist much at the moment.
He took the pen and quickly started writing on the papers.
Shu Wan stood by for a while, then lay down on the sofa to continue playing with her phone.
Shu Wan had estimated it would take an hour and a half to finish both sets of papers.
