Chapter 68: Chapter 68: Man of Action

Inside the room, Yi Roujing, who was still in a state of near suffocation, felt as if someone was speaking next to her ear, followed by the sound of a door closing. The one who was consuming her oxygen had risen, and she was gasping for air.

Her fair cheeks were now tinged with pink, and her slightly swollen lips emitted a fragrant breath. Her eyes seemed to be brimming with water, and her braided hair was somewhat disheveled as her chest rose and fell. Ding Ancheng struggled to look away and turned his back, taking a deep breath.

Once he calmed down, Ding Ancheng turned around, helped the still bewildered beauty on the bed to sit up, and looked straight at her. "If you say those things I don’t like to hear again, I’ll treat you like this."

"Whoosh—" Yi Roujing’s delicate face turned bright red as she finally realized that she had been kissed—it was her first kiss.

Looking at those thin lips so close, glistening slightly, the sweet touch she had just felt crazily crashing into her memory. Yi Roujing frantically looked away, her heart pounding like a drum. She hadn’t expected the first kiss to feel so wonderful.

Seeing Yi Roujing’s shy appearance, Ding Ancheng was in a good mood and reached out to softly stroke her tender lips. "I’m going next door. Call me if anything happens. Tomorrow morning at eight, we’ll go out. I’ll come to call you then."

Yi Roujing was slow to respond, so Ding Ancheng patiently coaxed her, "Hmm?"

"Oh." Right now, Yi Roujing’s mind was filled with the recent kiss; she couldn’t think of anything else, so naturally, she agreed to whatever Ding Ancheng said.

Acting foolishly, Ding Ancheng leaned down to steal a kiss before turning and leaving the room.

Ding Anmin witnessed the exciting scene just now with her own eyes, immediately returned to the next room, opened and closed the door swiftly, clutching her heart as she leaned against the door, breathing heavily.

"Anmin, what’s wrong?" Ding Anguo asked, looking at Ding Anmin who had returned, noticing that she seemed quite frightened.

"I might get beaten up by eldest brother." Ding Anmin replied.

"Why?"

"I messed up his good thing." Ding Anmin replied honestly. She didn’t think that the scene just now was orchestrated by Yi Roujing. She was concealing it well, really with full honesty; Yi Roujing always sweetly tried to please, but look at her brother, he’s all about action.

"What good thing?" Ding Anguo asked, puzzled.

Ding Anmin gave him a disdainful look, for the first time clearly observing her second brother under the dim light. His looks were good, his build was robust, but his demeanor was far from that of the eldest brother. "Sigh."

Ding Anguo felt offended.

"Second brother, find some time and learn a thing or two from eldest brother. That way, I might have a second sister-in-law."

"Worry about yourself first." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"I’m quite a hot property." Ding Anmin declared self-assuredly.

"Am I not hot?" Ding Anguo retorted, rolling his eyes.

"Knock knock—"

Ding Anmin was startled and jumped half a meter away from the door.

"What are you getting all worked up about?" Ding Anguo went forward to open the door and saw Ding Ancheng outside, grinning, "Eldest brother, you’re back."

"Hmm." Ding Ancheng nodded, apparently in a great mood, his lips slightly curved.

"Eldest brother, second brother, I, I’m leaving now." Ding Anmin didn’t dare to stay, and in a flash, dashed outside, hurriedly grabbing the keys to open the door.

"Don’t chatter," Ding Ancheng quietly reminded.

"Sure thing, eldest brother, no worries." Ding Anmin replied obediently, pulling the door open and slipping inside, then closing the door without hesitation.

"Always so loud," Ding Anguo shook his head, complaining. It wasn’t until Ding Ancheng walked in that he noticed something different about his eldest brother, but couldn’t pinpoint what... Oh right, "Eldest brother, why’s your lip a bit swollen, did a mosquito bite you?"

Receiving a glance from Ding Ancheng, Ding Anguo quieted down.

"Huff huff—" Ding Anmin leaned against the door, breathing heavily.

"Were you chased by a dog?" Yi Roujing teased with a laugh upon seeing Ding Anmin enter.

The slightly swollen lip told how intense the scene had been just now. Tsk tsk.

"Eldest brother might not be too happy about it." Ding Anmin said, plopping onto the bed, laughing.

"Hmm?" Yi Roujing immediately reacted, "Ding Anmin, your wings seem to have hardened."

"Don’t tell eldest brother," Ding Anmin raised her finger, signaling Yi Roujing to keep quiet.

Just now, Yi Roujing was so dazed from the kiss that she had no idea Ding Anmin had entered. Seeing Yi Roujing acting like nothing had happened, Ding Anmin understood why her elder brother had just reminded her. Her sister-in-law was quite involved; she hadn’t been distracted because of her. Her elder brother really knew how to handle things.

On the morning of April 11th, Ding Ancheng got up early and knocked on the door next door.

"Eldest brother." Ding Anmin opened the door, having been awake long enough, in and out, while Yi Roujing remained asleep, "Sister-in-law is still sleeping."

"Hmm." Ding Ancheng walked into the room while Ding Anmin wisely went to the next room.

"Roujing, wake up." Ding Ancheng sat by the bed, gently touching Yi Roujing’s loose, ebony hair.

Yi Roujing rubbed her sleep-covered face, unable to open her eyes. Due to the events with Ding Ancheng last night, she tossed and turned, falling asleep late, dreaming of him even while asleep.

Finally, she managed to open her eyes, and the first sight was Ding Ancheng’s face. She furrowed her brows, turned over, and mumbled, "Don’t bother me anymore."

Ding Ancheng found it amusing, turned her to face him again, "We need to go out."

The tangible sensation awakened Yi Roujing immediately. Looking at that smiling handsome face, she quickly covered her own face, "Oh, oh, go wait in the next room."

Ding Ancheng removed Yi Roujing’s hand covering her face and leaned down to kiss her forehead, "Alright."

Then, he got up and went outside.

Yi Roujing touched her forehead, still radiating warmth, blushing. Now, why did he have to act like this?

After washing up, Yi Roujing was led downstairs by Ding Ancheng.

"Eldest brother, what about Anmin and me?" Ding Anguo hurried to catch up and ask, when Ding Anmin pulled him back.

"You and Anmin go out for breakfast yourselves. I left money and tickets in the room for you, didn’t you see?"

"I saw them," Ding Anguo nodded honestly.

"Then why ask if you saw them?" Ding Anmin really wanted to cover her face, "Eldest brother, sister-in-law, you two enjoy yourselves, while second brother and I will wait for you at the guesthouse, no rush for you two."

See, she really had quite the foresight.

"Hmm." Ding Ancheng nodded, and walked side by side with Yi Roujing out of the guesthouse.

"We’ll have breakfast first," Ding Ancheng reported their schedule in a low voice to the person beside him, "after that, I’ll take you to the Department Store."

"I’ve already bought a bicycle," Yi Roujing replied.

"We’ll buy other things."

For breakfast, they had wontons, deep-fried dough sticks, and eggs. Yi Roujing was quite satisfied with the meal. At that time, the oil used for frying dough sticks was of good quality, making them crispy and delicious.

Arriving at the Department Store, Ding Ancheng led Yi Roujing to buy skirts and leather shoes.

"Do you know how to knit sweaters?" Ding Ancheng asked softly.

Yi Roujing shook her head.

"Anmin knows how, you can ask her to help with knitting." Ding Ancheng bought yarn for two in different colors, his attitude toward asking for help was very cordial.
