Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All-Chapter 328 - 232: Mountain Summit (Part 3)
"We’re finally almost there, this mountain is way too high."
Xiaomi sat on a rock and let out a long breath.
She had been following the stream upwards, only detouring when met with obstacles, and now she couldn’t see the bottom of the mountain anymore, the forest was too dense.
If she was just curious in the beginning, now it was more about determination to see what the mountain top held.
After resting for a while, Xiaomi continued to climb. Her stamina wasn’t the best, but thanks to jogging for the past six months, her endurance was decent.
Not long after, she climbed another small slope, but when she looked up, her face immediately changed.
Are you kidding me? Do I really have to keep climbing?
Just how tall is this mountain?
How low is the altitude of Cheng County?
It’s killing me!
"If I had known, I wouldn’t have bothered." Xiaomi rolled her eyes, utterly speechless.
Yet her instincts propelled her to take a few more steps forward.
Like before, the top of the mountain was somewhat flat, but not far away, there were even taller peaks.
No wonder she was frustrated. If there were people on the mountain, wouldn’t she have wasted all this effort?
With a bit of determination left, Xiaomi walked ahead for a while and suddenly her eyes lit up.
"Oh? There really is a pond!" Her pace quickened considerably.
A very large pond, several times bigger than the one at the mountain’s base.
Further up, there were indeed mountains, but no water source was flowing down, Xiaomi’s eyes widened in surprise, "Could this really be the water source?"
Not only was there a pond, but also a cave from which the pond seemed to extend.
Walking around the pond and getting closer, she could hear the dripping sound of water.
"Ah~~" Xiaomi shouted towards the cave.
Echoes soon followed: "Ah~ Ah~ Ah~"
The reverberation made ripples form on the water’s surface.
"What a deep cave." Xiaomi marveled; she had silently counted in her head just now, and the echo took five or six seconds to return, lingering in the cave for quite some time. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Her math wasn’t great, and she couldn’t calculate, but she could tell that this cave was very deep.
Unfortunately, the cave wasn’t particularly large, and the pond extended deep inside, making it impossible to walk in and explore.
Moreover, standing beside the cave, she could only see the entrance area; the rest was pitch black.
Xiaomi thought for a moment, raised her hand, and a powerful flashlight appeared.
Shining the light into the cave, she found that it wasn’t very tall inside, with many stalactites on the ceiling from which the water droplets were falling.
The water surface was very calm, with no obvious streams visible inside the cave; it seemed almost still.
Xiaomi clicked her tongue.
The water flow from the mountain hadn’t stopped, indicating that water was continuously flowing down.
Yet the calmer it was here, the more it hinted at hidden currents beneath the surface.
She had a small dinghy back in her space; she had originally planned to explore the cave with an adventurous spirit using the dinghy.
But now she was thinking of retreating instead. If anything went wrong, she might end up stuck in there.
Forget about adventuring; she’s not tired of living yet.
Just as she was about to turn back, a thought struck her, and she crouched by the shore, letting drops of Spiritual Spring water fall into the pond, creating ripples.
As the Spiritual Spring water spread, movements could be seen as small fish, previously hidden, swam rapidly towards the spot where the Spiritual Spring water fell, swirling around it.
Xiaomi was fascinated, thinking that since this was the source, as it flowed downward, it would be used by the entire Xiangmu Village through channels and ponds.
She decided to pour more Spiritual Spring water; even if it got diluted a lot, at least some amount could accumulate in the ponds downstream.
Of course, Xiangmu Village wasn’t the end of the stream. After passing through Xiangmu Village, who knows which big river it joined.
But none of that mattered; she was just curious to test how much Spiritual Spring water her space contained and whether it would run out, and if so, what would happen.
She had asked Ling’er about this, but unfortunately, even though Ling’er was the Artifact Spirit, she didn’t know everything.
According to her, with each level the space increased, her memory would unlock another layer. Right now, her understanding of the space was not much better than Xiaomi’s.
With this in mind, Xiaomi decided to sit down on a rock and rest while pouring more Spiritual Spring water.
Come to think of it, this was the first time she’d been so generous.
Back in Fu’an Village, although she had put some Spiritual Spring water into the channels, it was always in small amounts, plus there was never a chance to linger due to people passing through the fields.
Pour it all into her family’s old toilet?
She had thought of it but feared its effect might be so good it would cause a sensation.
Now was a great opportunity; although the Spiritual Spring water would be highly diluted, at least she didn’t have to worry about it being discovered, right?
Compared to its effects, safety is more important.
