Chapter 127: Zylus Vs Lamia Lumineres

She stood tall, with a comfortable posture and a sneer that ran across his beautifully put-together face. It was a woman, or looked like one.

Considering she stated she was one of the ’ten orders,’ more specifically the second, she would be able to use an actual human form at will, unlike the Spirits that live on below her level.

So the silhouette, or whatever she was currently in, the beauty of that body, was her own, not someone else’s.

Zylus stood still for another moment, realizing he couldn’t get close to her. And simply stared the Spirit into her gaze, not afraid, but curious and angered.

"The second order?" Zylus said out loud, "Oh, now starting to remember it, Jace did say something about it." Zylus sneered, gripping the katana in his right palm tightly.

Her expression changed. The woman who declared herself as the ’second order’ now began to speak, "This won’t work as it did for you against Jace." She announced, "Do not compare the two of us."

Her expression darkened, the pink lipstick that ran across her beautiful, juicy lips tied with the brown long hair, and her lustful chest matched together with the curve that ran along her back truly encompassed that beauty.

The spirit’s eyes were the same white, bright light as always, but hers had small sparks of purple.

Zylus stood alone, fixinghis posture before attacking, "You say you know of Jace?" He paused, that same sneer as earlier remained on his expression, "That means you understand I killed him."

She chuckled, "I’m not Jace, though, I’m not like him, Zylus Elwis."

Zylus’s expression darkened, "You know my name?" Then he fixed that thought, "Of course you do..."

Zylus crouched down, aiming the tip of his katana towards the Spirit while tightening the weapon into his right side.

"I’m the strongest after all."

With those words said, the woman in front of him, or rather, the evil source, laughed once more, with clear malicious intent.

"Strongest?" She tossed an apple that was stuck tightly in her palm above, then cut it into several pieces right after, "Maybe for you, weak Demons."

Zylus focused his deadly gaze on the Spirit, readying himself, "Do me the honors of at least telling me your name."

The woman tapped on her jaw, curious about why he would want to know, but then didn’t see how it would affect him much and gave it away.

"Usually, I make men grovel on their knees for that honor, but to you, I’ll give it before your death, I guess."

She floated into the air somehow, lying on her back as she would a bed, angling her body to look straight at Zylus.

"It’s Lamia," she paused again, proceeding to tell him her last name as well, "Lamia Lumineres."

’Lamia Lumineres.’ The second order out of the ten that were almost completely wiped out by Medrus Miro. And now, only two more remained, herself and the first.

Zylus still didn’t understand how those ’rankings’ fared out, but one thing he knew was that whichever came to him like that was powerful, one of the most amongst their respective realm.

The Spirit Realm.

Lamia remained in the air, looking straight down at Zylus, who stood firm and prepared, sneering the entire time. Considering how she was one of the ’Three Orders,’ Zylus already knew some crucial information that Jace spoke about during their duel.

’Xiezhi’s Embodiment.’ And his transparent body had been a blessing passed down by the creature’s ancestry, which the Spirit King inherited.

Xiezhi’ comes from Chinese mythology, a one-horned, ox-like or goat-like creature with the ability to distinguish truth from lies and good from evil. This shows transparency as a whole, which the Spirit King can turn off and on at will.

The Spirit King, however, can pass it on to those whose given blessings can handle transparency; most can’t, and that’s why only the top three orders can truly embody this.

That’s why Lamia Lumeneres was able to do the same, or so she declared, which, in this case, would cause Zylus to become utterly useless in terms of pure strength or physical attacks in general.

Now, anything, all the dark matter that filled inside Zylus’s [Demonic Katana] would be rendered pathetic against the Spirit who continued to float in front of Zylus.

Lamia Lumineres.

"Well, Lamia," Zylus stayed in that same tucked-in position, ready to strike at any given moment, "When I kill you, there will only be... one order left?"

She laughed, "My blessing can never let me die with prep time, why continue? I’ll kill your entire kind, you Demons, will die under me, and then I’ll take Liam to be my husband as his beautiful bride."

Her purple dress floated down beyond the appearance of her feat, as she continued to smile, in a devilish manner, or more so...

The way a Spirit would.

"So, I’m guessing I can’t even defeat you as long as you have Xiezhi’s Embodiment? Which you can turn on and off at will," Zylus started to ramble.

The cause of these words just changed Lamia’s expression.

"That bitch Jace," her hands started to shake, angered, "He told you a little too much, did he now. It doesn’t mean much, not like you can do anything..."

That wasn’t her blessing; that was a blessing the Spirit king bestowed upon the top three orders, in which Lamia’s given blessing was separate from this.

And in this battle, Zylus would have to figure it out.

But the way he would fight now would be difficult, very much so.

Very much so.

"Fuck it," Zylus whispered, ’I’ll figure out what she has during our duel, for now, let me see if that bitch has any weakness,’ he thought.

She laughed one more time, and Zylus decided to rush her in one quick moment, increasing his acceleration without using [False Body Deception Technique].

But there was no point... 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Because she disappeared mid-air. Just as Zylus pulled up in striking distance with her soft neck.
