Training-Addicted Mage In A Progression Fantasy-Chapter 34: Grand Plan
Chapter 34: Grand Plan
In the end, Leon couldn’t find the book he wanted in the Central Library.
He searched using all kinds of keywords in the book-finding Artifact, but couldn’t discover even a single book.
He only copied a few history-related books and brought them out.
Disappointed, Leon was on his way to the Training Room when he ran into a familiar face on the first floor.
It was Peter, a General Disciple.
Peter, who was always busy but had an outgoing personality, smiled awkwardly as soon as he saw Leon.Seeing that, Leon also became awkward immediately.
“Haha... Leon... Greetings.”“Ah, yes... Peter...”“You don’t need to speak formally to me. You’ve become the Tower Master’s Personal Disciple, after all.”“No...”
Everyone knew that it was only in name. And yet, with such reactions coming out, Leon didn’t know how to deal with it either.
He thought all that was left was to awkwardly pass by, but Peter rummaged through his pockets as if he had remembered something.
“Come to think of it, I heard you entered 1st Grade, but I couldn’t give you this. You might not need it, but...”
What Peter handed over was a lowest-Grade Water Magic Book.
“I don’t know what Attribute you have, so I’ll give you this first. Should I leave the other Attributes in front of your dedicated Training Room...?”“Ah... I’ll find them myself. Thank you.”
Leon took the Magic Book and climbed the Staircase, belatedly tilting his head.
Dedicated Training Room?
Leon smacked his forehead.
It seemed that because he was holed up alone in one Training Room, they considered it Leon’s dedicated Training Room.
But I can’t go to another Training Room now...
Leon entered the Training Room feeling uneasy.
I wonder if I got off to a wrong start... No matter where I go, I’m in an ambiguous position.
Even though he became the Tower Master’s Personal Disciple, the feeling of being an outsider didn’t disappear.
Well, I am as much an outsider as one can be...
Leon shook his head.He decided to be grateful for the fact that he could train at ease.
The General Disciple Training Room was cramped and had no Protection Magic Circle, so it wasn’t suitable for Leon who was at the Early Arcane, but it was fine since he was still focusing only on Arpina Basic Magic while raising his consciousness.
But it was time to start Training high-level Magic soon.He also needed to hone his Arcane Magic.
He was currently staying just before truly entering the Early Arcane Grade.
One enlightenment about harmony, the core of Arpina’s Fifth Level Magic, was all he needed to fully make it.
His current threads of will were 8.It would be 9 after gaining enlightenment.
If he had gone through normal stages, it would have been 10, but it was the price for rapid Realm Ascension.Of course, it was a price that would be offset if he raised his Realm further.
Though it might seem like too soon, it wasn’t actually strange to prepare for the next Realm Ascension this early.
This is why I saved Magic Orb time for times like this.
Training for 20 hours in reality and only 10 hours in the Magic Orb, 30 hours of Magic Orb time accumulated each day.
Before he knew it, 3050 hours of Magic Orb time had accumulated.
Approximately 5 months of Magic Orb time.
This feat was only achievable through his unwavering dedication to Training, forgoing proper sleep for three months straight.
Let’s reduce real-world Training until I reach the limit of Early Arcane.
Leon entered the Magic Orb.
During his 3 months of intense Training, Leon realized many things.
First, about the time spent inside the Magic Orb.Now he had spent at least over a year just inside the Magic Orb.
At first, he thought his own growth might be on the slower side, but no matter how he thought about it, he was growing appropriately for a 14-year-old.
Could it be that time doesn’t affect my age in the Magic Orb?
And it seemed to only apply to him alone.
Paulin and the red-haired man’s corpses had already decomposed into skeletons. There was also the fact that the herbs were growing just fine.
With all this in mind, it could only mean that it applied to Leon alone.
It would make sense if the Magic Orb was completely user-exclusive...
As it included all kinds of convenient functions, Leon understood why only his aging would stop.
It seemed like he could know the answer for sure if he spent one more year inside the Magic Orb.
“When are you going to go?”
Kito, in human form using Polymorph, circled around Leon as she spoke.
Kito had returned around when Leon was just starting his Training.
She said she found a huge lake while wandering inside the Magic Orb.
She brought water from that lake to Leon, saying it looked extraordinary.
The water Kito brought had a mystical energy, but he hadn’t found its use yet.Despite the energy felt, just drinking it had no effect.
“Let’s go when I can definitely use Arcane Magic.”“Alright. Not long left, huh.”
For Kito, a few months was indeed not a long time.
She had recovered to the state where she could fully use Basic Magic.Although her recovery was slow because she hadn’t found her Core yet, she reached a state where she could freely come out of the Magic Orb.
She said her Core was hidden in the Beast Forest adjacent to the Basprion Kingdom.
He didn’t know exactly how they kept a Core with no physical form separately, but now he knew at least that it wasn’t impossible, seeing what Black Mages can do.
Leon sat cross-legged.
The Rewards received over the last 3 months were about 180.
At first, he received mostly Artifacts to strengthen his power, and after that, he was alternating between Artifacts and Magic Books.
Now that his reward probability had increased, his main rewards were all D-Grade.
F-Grade and E-Grade appeared 2-3 times out of 10 Rewards, but except for Blink scrolls, he converted everything to mileage.
The main D-Grade Scrolls were
Underwater Prison.Explosion.Wind Blade.Healing Aura.
And so on.
Healing Aura was a Magic Scroll that could apply Basic healing Magic over a wide range.
There were a few useful ones among the C-Grade Magic Scrolls too.
Gravity Well.It was Magic that manipulated gravity in a certain range. Its intensity could affect people up to the Advanced Arcane Grade.
Illusion Creation. It was Magic that created real-looking illusions, and could control a clone illusion that moved according to the user’s will for 10 minutes. However, the clone couldn’t use Magic.
Besides that, various Attribute attack Magic that were effective up to the Advanced Arcane Grade.
The B-Grade Magic Scroll was Magic Amplification. It could make even Arcane Magic exert Mystic Grade power once.
When using Early Mystic Magic, raise its power to the Advanced Grade.
With that, a C+ Grade Artifact called Guardian Robe.
It was a Robe engraved with defensive Magic Circles, automatically generating a barrier when attacked.
It had 12 Magic Circles engraved that could block Magic from Arcane to Early Mystic Grade.
When the 12 Magic Circles were consumed, it automatically lost its effect.
Among his acquisitions was also a B-Grade Artifact: a Personalized Dimensional Pocket. It was a Dimensional Pocket that no one except the user who first injected Magic Power into it could open.
For D-Grade Artifacts, he converted everything to mileage except those with a + attached.
They were all Staffs, Wands, Levitation Magic assist Artifacts, Magic Power boosters, shield Artifacts.
He had also gotten a C+ Grade Artifact drawn with his accumulated D-Grade Artifact mileage. The Bell of Confusion.
When the bell rang, it could disturb the minds of those who heard the sound. He was already thinking of combos to use with the Magic Sword. However, since it applied to everyone except the user, it wasn’t a good Artifact to use when allies were present.
While he had gotten some usable Artifacts, the Magic Books were a bit lacking.
D-Grade Magic Books were useless, and after securing appropriate C-Grade Fire, Water, and Earth Attribute Magic, everything else had to be converted to mileage.
The only Magic Book that was somehow decent was ‘Pasiota’s Elixir Creation Magic (C+)’.
For Attribute Magic, Leon currently needed to learn,
Wind Magic; Gale Wind (C+)Lightning Magic; Glory’s Thunder (C+)Tree Magic; Ten Thousand Leaves (B+)Sword Magic; Moonlight Scattering Sword (?)
Excluding these, he needed other Attribute Magic, but it wasn’t easy to find Magic Books he liked.
If not that, then better Magic of the same Attribute had to come out.

It was no small matter of pickiness.
Leon found himself repeatedly muttering, “Come on, multi-Attribute Magic!” each time he received rewards.
I really have no luck with draws...
In the midst of that, what came up was Brilliance of Creation.
With this, there’s no need to have any lingering attachment.
Now that it was time to raise his Realm again, he had to change the Reward to Elixirs.
After Leon became a Full-Attribute Body, his efficiency for Elixirs increased, so originally he had to eat D+ to C-Grade Essences, but D-Grade Essences became effective up to Early Arcane.
So he could receive Elixirs as Rewards a bit more comfortably. He also had some Essences left from the Lair.
This means it wasn’t too late to prepare from now on.
I hope more Elixir creation methods come out too.
For now it was manageable, but he couldn’t rely solely on Elixirs as rewards indefinitely. He needed to plan for the future.
Having concluded his thoughts, Leon plunged back into Training.
There would be no reason to go outside until he could use Arcane Magic.
***
Deep underground, shrouded in darkness.
A black crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, casting a faint purple glow. At the room’s center stood a massive obsidian table, dominating the space.
The man at the head of the table spoke, his deep voice filling the room.
“The time has come.”
Several people were sitting around the head seat, and the woman sitting closest replied in a voice immersed in ecstasy.
“Finally...! You’ve broken through the wall. Aaahh, how long I’ve waited for this day.”
Another man also spoke in a stiff voice, as if he had been waiting.
“There are no major setbacks to the plans we’ve carefully laid out so far. Except for one thing...”“Is it the task that Paulin fellow was in charge of?”“You even remembered his name? That’s correct.”
The woman who first spoke in an ecstasy-tinged voice snickered.
“It’s but a trivial matter. It has no impact on our grand plan.”“The monster...”“It’s just a monster without a Core. We’ve already obtained everything we could anyway.”“Then... this is the real beginning. Widia was the first step, right?”“Coincidentally, Widia is also what interfered with our plans.”“This will be interesting.”
The rest of the people around the table each threw in a word.
Thinking that they no longer needed to hide in the darkness, the hearts of the figures seated around the table began to beat fiercely.
