Chapter 39 - About the 1st floor

During their game days, the Tower of Beginning's first floor used to be the smallest floor made up of nine distinct sections.

Each of these sections were independent and if one wanted to imagine how they were divided, one could think of a target.

Though not as defined as a circular target used in archery, each nine of the floors were a maze independent of the other.

The technique to leave them and enter a different zone was different as well. Each time one passed from one zone to another, they would also have to pass through a test mandatorily.

The test was different depending on the zone that one was in: to get out of the outer most zone that KiRA was when he first entered the tower, they would have to fight a powerful monster by themselves.

To go from zone 8 to zone 7, they would have to pass a test of wits. The zone transition from zone 3 to zone 2 was the most difficult of them all. Until one was strong, smart, as well as aware of his surroundings throughout the maze, they would not be able to pass through that section.

'Even though the floor is pretty much the same as it was in the game, it's not quite the same thing.'

Since he had obtained the Map of this floor he was looking through the thing and comparing everything with his game knowledge.

'There are twelve sections and instead of going from 9,8,7 like how it used to be, the outer most section is connected with zone 10. And then the 10th zone is connected with some other random zone.

Instead of Zone 2 connecting to the innermost zone, Zone 3 was the last step one needed to pass through to get to the center of this place.

Also, while this was still the actual center of the entire floor, the major center where the boss monster was currently in had changed from the central zone to Zone 3.

'It has become so complicated...'

KiRA did not realize it when he was still in the outskirts but now that he had this map, he could tell the entire floor was something completely different from what he remembered.

He could see there was something different about the floor design as well. Instead of being shaped like an enclosed clamp, the whole floor seemed more like a rhombus.

It was weird how the whole thing had changed so drastically, but that wasn't even the worst part about this entire floor.

'While the hidden pieces seem to be the same, the entire mob-pattern of the floor has changed drastically.'

As one closed in from the outermost zones, they would come across monsters that were nothing like what they had seen in the outer areas.

The monsters in the inner zones, as he could see in the map listing, were nearly on the same level as the dungeon crawler. They weren't something the current players could go against, and they most certainly weren't something the players should be going against either.

'The level difference is absurd.'

While the boss monster of the 1st floor was of (Level-40), a level that was still not that high, the average monster level of the entire floor was (Level-25), which meant the players needed to be averagely at that level to be able to go against those creatures.

'With the special traits that these creatures possess, with many of them going around in packs like those beasts, the monsters on this floor were not easy to deal with for the current player population with an average level of (Level-10).'

If it was someone like Zyon or Iz, or even the dark swordsman that KiRA met in the cathedral or the twins even, the monsters would be doable.

But they were still not easy to beat. They were dangerous beings that will most certainly kill a third of the player population that pass through the outer areas and go into the deeper ones.

'Considering all the players are staring in random places in the 12th or 11th zone, it seems like the system still wants them to go through a proper growth phase.'

If they defeat the monsters and accept the challenges, they will be able to go against these monsters. KiRA could see many details in the map that was presented to him so he knew there were some players in the inner zones already.

'The easterns...'

The death toll until now on the very first floor had already crossed four digits, hundreds of which must have been illegal entries or the ones from eastern nations that did not have as strict a regulation as they had in their nations.

The governments there were still resisting the authority of A2P2, managing the tower and the tower's resources as well as the other players by themselves.

'But they will find out how wrong they are soon enough...'

Even if they have a [Rank-9] on their side, without a certain level and skills, they are still going to fall to the monsters in the inner areas.

'This map is pretty useful...' ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

The information about the floor that he had just obtained was invaluable. And even though there were restrictions on the information sharing about the tower and things related to towers, there were obviously ways to get around them.

"Looks like we will have to leave soon, Uni." KiRA had explored around the 1st floor for about three days and looked through various places with the help of the 1st hidden piece, the Transition Zones.

He had analyzed the area and collected many of the treasures and items that were just sitting there for him to have.

He killed as many of the mobs as he could, but they were going to reappear soon. The respawn rate on this floor was simple and consistent.

"Haaa. Let's hope for the best."

"Viv!"

Currently, after all his exploration, he was standing before a weird looking piller.

There was something strange about this out of place pillar standing in the middle of nowhere.

There weren't many who knew about this, but, this was the second hidden piece of the 1st floor, the last house of the Dwarves who created the walls that now separate the entire Resting place of the retired species.
