Together Apart: Her White Moonlight Has Returned Too-Chapter 84: Freshly Issued Divorce Certificate
Hannah Hayes, after hitting someone, felt a bit frightened as Winston Valentine was about to divorce Vera Yves, and everyone in Imperia knew he was not someone to offend.
Winston Valentine’s dark eyes deepened as he signaled the bodyguards to back off.
Upon seeing Vera Yves, Samantha Warren’s anger flared up, wishing she could rush over and give her a beating.
Winston Valentine blocked Samantha Warren, "This is a hospital."
Samantha Warren had no choice but to suppress her anger, "Vera Yves, get out! I don’t want to see you!"
Hannah Hayes laughed angrily, "Don’t say I don’t believe that Vera pushed her. If it really was her, I’d applaud her! A mistress daring to get pregnant is sinning!"
Samantha Warren looked at her in disbelief, "You all are simply too much!"
As they seemed about to argue again, the light of the operating room went out, and Samantha Warren immediately approached.
The doctor walked out from inside, "The child couldn’t be saved. The injured is now out of danger, but due to external trauma, her uterus is ruptured, and it will be very hard for her to conceive again."
Samantha Warren nearly fainted, fortunately, Winston Valentine caught her.
"My poor Cecilia..." Samantha Warren suddenly looked at Vera Yves, rushing towards her madly, "It’s all your fault! I’m going to kill you!"
A tall, slender figure shielded Vera Yves, protecting her behind him. Miles Monroe looked coldly at Winston Valentine and Samantha Warren.
Hannah Hayes sneered from the side, "This is the retribution for being a mistress!" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
"Get out! All of you get out!" Samantha Warren was somewhat hysterical.
Vera Yves and Miles Monroe left with Hannah Hayes, and at the elevator entrance, Winston Valentine came over and grabbed Vera Yves’s wrist directly, "Let’s talk."
Miles Monroe grabbed Vera Yves’s other hand.
Winston Valentine looked coldly at Miles Monroe, "What, do you, Counselor Monroe, also want to listen when I discuss divorce with Vera Yves?"
Vera Yves looked at Miles Monroe, "Miles, I’m fine. Go wait for me in the car with my mom."
Hannah Hayes snorted coldly, "What else is there to talk about?"
Miles Monroe let go of his hand.
Winston Valentine took Vera Yves to a corner, and Vera Yves withdrew her hand.
"It was my idea to have you abort the child, you shouldn’t have retaliated against Cecilia."
A single sentence declared her guilt.
In his heart, wasn’t she just such a person? Doing whatever it takes to achieve her goals.
Telling herself not to care, but why does it still hurt inside?
"It wasn’t me." Vera Yves tightened her palm, "Winston Valentine, you won’t get away with using this as an excuse to retaliate against me or The Yves Family!"
Winston Valentine said unemotionally, "If I wanted to deal with you and The Yves Family, I wouldn’t need any excuses."
"So, what do you plan to do?" Vera Yves looked at him calmly, "The child in my belly is already dead by you, how do you plan to torture and retaliate against me to avenge your child?"
Winston Valentine remained silent for a long time, "I must give Cecilia an explanation."
Vera Yves sneered, Cecilia Vaughn’s child is gone, needs an explanation, what about her child?
They were the legal couple, yet their child wasn’t qualified to be born or to ask for an explanation.
"Sell me the villa, tomorrow we’ll go get the divorce certificate." Winston Valentine looked at the dark night outside the window, "Considering we were once married, I won’t pursue today’s matter further, we’ll be clear from now on."
"Should I thank President Valentine for his generosity?"
Vera Yves mocked, "Tomorrow morning at nine, see you at the civil affairs bureau!"
Upon leaving the hospital, Vera Yves could finally breathe. She had come straight from the banquet, wearing thin clothes, shivering as the cold wind blew.
A warm coat fell on her shoulders, Miles Monroe beside her said softly, "Let’s go."
In the car, after Hannah Hayes finished cursing Winston Valentine and Cecilia Vaughn, she cursed The Valentines one by one. Vera Yves listened until her head ached and leaned back in her seat, closing her eyes to rest.
Yet her mind was filled with thoughts about her years with Winston Valentine.
Since Winston Valentine started sleeping in the master bedroom, their communication increased significantly, but only in bed.
Actually, she internally rejected doing those things with him, but since they were married, and her pregnancy was a false alarm, she had no grounds to refuse, forcing herself to accept.
Initially, it was just once or twice a week, which she could endure, but gradually, he became more frequent.
She wanted to close her eyes and endure it, thinking it would pass.
Yet he always found ways to make her open her eyes, to look at him. His dark eyes were like an unfathomable clear spring, and she never saw any emotion in them, but she could always see a fire emerging, consuming both of them.
He was always domineering, but he could also sensitively notice her tension, kissing her gently, waiting for her to relax before launching his offensive.
Their marriage was passionate in bed and bland outside of it.
He could have someone in his heart while entwining with her, yet she couldn’t even guard her heart; she was never a match for him.
At nine o’clock the next morning, Vera Yves stood at the entrance of the civil affairs bureau.
Winston Valentine sat in the car watching her for a while before getting out and walking over.
"You find some time to go to the villa and take your stuff."
Vera Yves paused her steps, "I’ve already taken what’s useful back to The Yves Family, you can throw away the rest."
No longer being Mrs. Valentine, she wouldn’t need those things in the villa either.
Three hundred million, just consider it as him buying it back.
The two of them entered the civil affairs bureau, in front of them was another couple also filing for divorce. The man had an affair, and the woman kept cursing him for a good half an hour.
"What’s so great about her being pregnant? I gave you two kids! All these years, have you cared for the kids once?"
"If you love her so much, why did you marry me back then? If you love her, why did you make me pregnant and have kids for you?"
Vera Yves listened with no expression.
"You love her, so you care for the child in her belly! You don’t love me, so you find it unnecessary to even look at the kids I gave birth to!"
Turns out those unloved are equally pathetic.
In the end, the woman had no strength left to curse; throughout, the man said nothing, but his gaze towards the woman was filled with disgust and contempt.
Ten minutes later, Vera Yves and Winston Valentine successfully obtained their divorce certificates.
Winston Valentine called out to the departing Vera Yves, "Rest assured, I will make a public statement."
Vera Yves nodded and turned to leave.
Winston Valentine looked at the divorce certificate in his hand, rubbed his temples, got into the car, and instructed the driver to go to the company.
At noon, at twelve o’clock, The Valentine Group’s official Weibo account issued a statement announcing the end of Winston Valentine and Vera Yves’s three-year and five-month marriage due to long-term emotional discord, and that Winston Valentine had found another confidante.
The statement immediately went viral online.
It’s the first time seeing someone publicly announcing a divorce and admitting to an affair. Is he afraid others won’t know he’s a scumbag?
Vera Yves had just returned to The Yves Family home when she received a call from Linda Young.
"Vera, does Winston Valentine have something on you?"
Vera Yves changed her shoes, "He wanted a divorce, I set the terms."
"Divorced?"
"Freshly issued divorce certificate."
"Tonight, let’s have a girls’ night to celebrate your return to singlehood!"
Vera Yves didn’t refuse, as she preferred going to a bar rather than staying home listening to Hannah Hayes curse everything.
Once Vera Yves entered the private room, she saw chaotic dancing, a group of young men surrounded her instantly, and the worst part was, they were all shirtless.
An entire room filled with testosterone made Vera Yves’s head hurt.
Miles Monroe opened the private room door to see Vera Yves backed into a corner of the sofa by a young man, her hand pressing on the young man’s chest muscles.
