To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 183: It’s just two more years

The vigor in the air had slowly died down. Soon, it was New Year’s Eve, and soon it was time to resume school.

It was an unforgettable Christmas holiday.

Chin-hwa and Kang-woo had become an official couple and no matter where Chin-hwa was, Kang-woo was also spotted by his side.

There were exceptions, like the time when Kang-woo needed to go to the professor’s office, or something came up.

But that aside, he was seen everywhere with Kang-woo on campus.

"Wow, I’m so jealous," Dong-cha exclaimed as she sipped from the straw of her bubble tea while looking at the two sitting in front of her.

"You say that every time," Chin-hwa said as Kang-woo wiped his mouth for him. "And it’s not like you’re not in a relationship,"

"Pa-lease," Dong-cha rolled her eyes. "I’d be thankful if Seoung-bo even let me do stuff like this in public,"

Soon after the Christmas party, their friend group met up and there, Dong-cha announced that she was dating Seoung-bo. Honestly, they didn’t expect that the two had caught feelings so they wanted to hear the story.

Seoung-bo didn’t want to admit it, but her feelings had been one-sided for a while till she went out to drink with Dong-cha one day, and Dong-cha kissed her.

It was more than a kiss. She touched her intimately under the influence of the alcohol, but he fell asleep before answering Seoung-bo, who asked if she liked her.

Then, the next morning, Seoung-bo was excited to finally hear Dong-cha’s response but Dong-cha had completely forgotten what she did when she was drunk.

That was the reason behind their fight back then. The reason Seoung-bo was giving Dong-cha the cold shoulders.

But they got over their differences when Seoung-bo finally confessed.

But even after that incident and they got together, the rest of them never noticed that both of them were an item. They were so good at keeping their feelings in check when they were in public, unlike the other two love birds who were practically announcing to the world that they were dating and madly in love with each other. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

Yun-tae also had a confession that day. He confessed that he was seeing Myung-woo.

Of course, they all already knew that but what they did not know was that Myung-woo had put a ring in his finger.

It was a total shocker but they were all happy for him regardless.

Now, back to the present.

School had resumed fully and they had to start worrying about projects and presentations. Their professors weren’t giving them any breathing space.

"We have a presentation next week already," Dong-cha exclaimed with an exhausted tone. "Can’t I just graduate already? It’s too much."

"It’s just two more years." Chin-hwa said. "After next year, you don’t have to worry about presentations and paperwork anymore."

"Oh, we won’t be going for classes much longer this year either, right?" Beom asked and Chin-hwa wondered what he was talking about.

"Oh, right." Dong-cha snapped her fingers. "We’re going for our internship program this year. It’s almost an entire year off so we can be interns at various designing companies." She explained and giggled. "Sweet. I can earn a little this year, instead of being stuck in class all day long."

Chin-hwa had completely forgotten the internship program.

Others might’ve already figured out which company they would like to apply for.

"It seems you haven’t filled the form yet." Dong-cha said, seeing Chin-hwa’s confusion. "The professor passed out forms to fill on which company we would like to apply for."

"I think I’ve been procrastinating too much these days," Chin-hwa said. "I’ll look over the form once I get home today,"

"I don’t think you’ll have that time." Kang-woo said to him. "Remember, we’re moving your stuff over to my house as soon as we’re done here."

"Oooh, I’m so jealous," Dong-cha snickered. "Want some help? I’m good at moving stuff."

"It’s alright. I don’t plan on moving everything." Chin-hwa said.

He was just going to get his stuffed animals and his clothes. The rest things could stay as they were.

"Alright, if you say so." Dong-cha said and noticed her phone beeping. "Oh, gotta go." She quickly got up and waved at them. "See you guys tomorrow."

Beom got out and waved as well. He had been busy on his laptop so he didn’t include himself in a lot of their conversation. But now that he was done...

"I’ll also get going," he said and they waved at him.

Kang-woo and Chin-hwa were left there and Chin-hwa sighed.

"I don’t know if I’m starting to get forgetful." Chin-hwa said. "But a lot of things are slipping from my mind these days,"

"It happens to the best of us at some point," Kang-woo said, snuggling his head on his. "Wanna head out now? I think a little fresh air would work wonders."

"Yeah," they got out and then someone parked a blue scooter in front of them.

Taking off his helmet, Yun-tae smiled widely at the two of them.

"Hey,"

"Hi, Yun," Chin-hwa said and looked at the scooter. He could tell he was loving it.

Yun-tae tagged a day to each scooter so he could ride them on their specific day during the weekdays. If he was still living in the dorms, maybe that might’ve been difficult since he wouldn’t have where to park them but he started living in his own house close to school after the Christmas party.

He used part of the money he got from Tae-won to buy a beautiful and spacious house that had a little garage where he could keep his scooters.

Myung-woo had wanted him to move in with him but Yun-tae refused saying,

"It’s more exciting if I can invite you over to my house and you can do the same."

Plus, he didn’t want rumors going around Myung-woo just yet. He planned to work hard and become very good at his job so no one would have a justified reason to say he did not deserve Myung-woo.

He was working hard.

But even as he said he didn’t want them to live together, it wasn’t like Myung-woo did not storm into his house and slept over almost every day.

Yun-tae liked it, so he didn’t complain much, but they needed to be a little self-aware and exercise restraint. Ahem.

"Where are you guys off to?" He asked.

"I’m moving in with Kang-woo today, so I’m heading to the dorm." Chin-hwa said and then Yun-tae grabbed Chin-hwa’s hand, pulling him onto his scooter.

"In that case, I’ll steal you away." He laughed maniacally as he turned on his engine. "Lee Kang-woo, if you want your lover back, you better prepare a ransom and meet us at the dorm. No negotiations." Then, he glanced back at Chin-hwa and said, "Hold on tight, my hostage or you might fall."

Chin-hwa was surprised at first but got what Yun-tae was trying to do. It had been a while since they hung out, just the two of them. He wrapped his arms around him and smiled at Kang-woo.

"Hurry up, hubby." He said. "You should hurry up and come rescue me."

Kang-woo stood there perplexed, but then his head exploded, and he blushed a bright red.

"Hwa just called me... Hubby." That was what he was dwelling on and it made him feel so warm inside. "He’s so cute."
