To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 147: Whoever kissed you in the past isn’t relevant
"You’re curious if I’m a virgin out of the blue eh?" Myung-woo asked as he drew closer. "Why would you suddenly think of that? What has been going through my sweet little Yun-tae’s mind all this while?"
"N-nothing, I swear. I didn’t even think of it until now. It was so random. I didn’t mean it." Yun-tae did his best to explain while frantically waving his hands in his defense, and Myung-woo laughed.
"Don’t worry, I believe you." He said but still laughed. It was funny to think about. "Anyway, you’re curious if I’ve never done it since I’ve been waiting for you all my life, right?"
"Um, y-yes." Yun-tae answered shyly and his heart started pounding.
He didn’t know what it was but he somehow wished Myung-woo would give him a positive answer. If Myung-woo suddenly said he wasn’t a virgin then he felt he would be disappointed.
"What’s with that look?" Myung-woo asked, looking at him with a knowing smirk.
"W-what look?" Yun-tae asked and patted his cheeks. ’Are my thoughts showing on my face? I hope not.’
Myung-woo suddenly laughed and hugged him.
They both fell on the couch with Myung-woo on top of Yun-tae, hugging him with his head pressed on his chest.
"Ngh, Hyung, what are you doing?"
"I’m just so happy for some reason," he said, chuckling to himself. "Knowing you’d be disappointed suddenly made my insides do a flip."
"What are you talking about? What disappointment?" Yun-tae asked, his hands pressing on Myung-woo’s shoulders while his gaze traveled away from him.
It was clear he was trying to hide his expression.
"You can’t hide your thoughts very well, Yun-tae." Myung-woo said. "So, I could easily tell that you would be disappointed if I said I wasn’t a virgin."
"B-but... Why would I be disappointed?"
"I don’t know. You tell me." Myung-woo said, "Why in the world would you be disappointed if you found out I had been screwing around after saying all that stuff about waiting for you all my life?"
Yun-tae twisted his lips. Ah, that was exactly it. That was exactly why he would be disappointed.
But he could not even say it with his own mouth.
"Let me alleviate your worries," Myung-woo said, raising his body to peck Yun-tae’s chin. "I am, in fact, a virgin, and that’s because I wanted my first time to be with the one I’ve been waiting for all my life."
Yun-tae’s eyes suddenly sparkled. So, he, indeed, was a virgin. Ah, this was making his heart pound as if it was going to explode. He was so happy for no reason.
"But sadly," Myung-woo turned his face away sadly. "My first kiss was already taken before I met you again."
Yun-tae paused.
"I had to do this short scene in a film and that other actress kissed me for real even when I said I was going to use a double for the kiss." He said and gnashed his teeth. "I got so angry that I didn’t want to do the film anymore."
Yun-tae heard this and his heart suddenly felt relieved. Ah, he thought it was something else but it was just that?
He didn’t even know why he had felt uncomfortable in his heart hearing someone else had kissed him before him, but it wasn’t even with his permission, so it was all good.
’Was I feeling jealous?’ Yun-tae wondered. ’Is that how jealousy feels like? Gosh, I’m so childish.’
And Myung-woo looked even more childish pouting over an issue like that, causing Yun-tae to laugh.
"It’s alright. It’s all in the past, right?" Yun-tae asked, cupping his face in his arms. "And besides, so long you didn’t do it out of your own will then you’re not guilty."
"You think so? But it doesn’t make me feel any better." Myung-woo said.
"Then, will this help?" Yun-tae asked and tried to pull Myung-woo up.
He succeeded quite easily since Myung-woo moved his body and kissed him on the lips.
"Whoever kissed you in the past isn’t relevant. What’s relevant is that I’ve overwritten it with my own lips, hehe." He laughed and Myung-woo got charmed.
Yun-tae looked so pretty smiling, as if sparkles were flying from his entire being.
He looked especially good in his shirt.
’Ah, I don’t know which bastard took a look at my Yun and disregarded his existence. They must be blind.’ he inwardly cursed.
(Of course, Kang-woo is blind. He’s so blinded by his love for Chin-Hwa that he can’t see anyone else at all)
"Yun-tae," He called, stroking his hair. "I didn’t tell you the rest of my story." He said.
"Oh, right. If you were in foster care then that means you didn’t stay with that family, right?"
"Yeah, I returned to the orphanage two years later. They wouldn’t benefit anything from keeping me as their official child so they dropped me as soon as it was time."
His tone was straight but Yun-tae couldn’t help but imagine how it would feel to be abandoned like that for having no benefits.
Ah, what was there to imagine? His life was no different. His father had abandoned him for dead and hated on him like he was the reason for all the misfortune.
It had been rough.
He stroked Myung-woo’s hair softly trying to silently comfort him.
"It didn’t take long before I was given to another couple. But it was a young rich couple this time. One that wasn’t interested in the government’s childcare funds. If the couple ended up liking me, they would officially adopt me so I did what I could to get on their good side. They did not mistreat me and did not neglect me either. In fact, it was as if they were trying really hard to get me to like them just as much as I was trying." He snuggled on Yun-tae’s body. "It was probably because my second gender was an Alpha. They wanted me for my traits and what I could do for them as an Alpha." He sighed. "In the end, I returned to the orphanage and was asked if I would like to be a part of their family. I said yes." He suddenly squeezed on Yun-tae.
Yun-tae wondered if something had gone wrong at that point because of how Myung-woo had suddenly changed his tone.
"It wasn’t that I liked the couple but I didn’t hate them either. I just needed a place where I could grow up well and be able to find you later if I could so I went with them. But of course, their boisterous efforts to get me to like them lessened after I had become their official son. They didn’t neglect me, though; I just became more inclined and rejected a few of their care. Though I was obedient. They paraded me like a trophy. An Alpha son carrying their family name." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"They liked you for your second gender, huh?" Yun-tae said sadly. "At least, it was better than being hated for what you had become."
Myung-woo raised his head and looked Yun-tae in the eye. He hoped this did not make him feel uncomfortable.
"It’s fine. I understand your gaze," Yun-tae said with a comforting smile. "If I had been an Alpha, I’m pretty sure I would’ve been hated more than being an Omega."
"Yun,"
"Haha, did that scare you?" Yun-tae asked, caressing his face. "I’m just saying that you got lucky."
"Sorry," Myung-woo said, bowing his head again sadly. Maybe he should’ve skipped this part of the story.
Yun-tae had been hated specifically for his second gender, so of course, it wouldn’t have been okay.
"I said it’s fine. It’s all in the past, as you said. Your actions today already made up for the hurt I’ve been keeping in my heart towards my father for so long so it’s okay." Yun-tae assured him. "Now, tell me. What happened after that?"
It took Myung-woo a bit to adjust to the change in mood before he continued,
"I became a prized possession and they let me do anything I wanted. They already had plans for my future too. It was as if my whole life had been planned out for me, and that made me feel suffocated." Myung-woo said. "So suffocated that I ended up running away a few times."
Yun-tae stifled a laugh.
"So, you had been rebellious, huh?"
"Yeah, I wanted them to listen to me so I did anything to make that happen. Luckily, it worked every time. Until my ’mother’ got pregnant."
Of course, the couple had hoped to get an Alpha. They wouldn’t know in the first five years but they did all they could to make their child feel dominant.
Myung-woo played with the child a few times. The couple made sure to make instances like saying they had to be out for a while, so he needed to babysit.
They could’ve called the nanny or something, but they didn’t, and their intentions were clear.
They probably hoped Myung-woo’s traits would rub off on their child.
By the time the child was old enough to have his second gender checked, Myung-woo had entered college.
He only heard the news but he was glad for the little kid that he had become an Alpha. At least he wouldn’t live as a disappointment and then, their parents wouldn’t try to control his life now that they had an Alpha with their blood flowing through his veins.
He was their heir, and Myung-woo couldn’t care less.
"In other words, you were not on the best friendly terms with them even now, so you rarely visit them." Yun-tae said and Myung-woo nodded.
"You’re so quick to catch on, Yun-tae. You’re so smart. I like you so much," he said as he giggled, making Yun-tae blush.
Did he really have to say stuff like that?
