Chapter 104: Something was terribly wrong somewhere

In a family where there were never any secrets hidden amongst each other, Myung-woo, who had joined the family as their son’s best friend, also had his secret shared.

Woo-bin had tried to set him up just for his own sake since he was in the music industry just like he was, but he refused it right away, saying he was waiting for someone.

That dinner was the day they all got to know about the young dream boy who had saved Myung-woo when he was young and being bullied.

It was a cliche stuff but the fact that he had been the first to save him when no one else would stand up for him chained his heart to him for eternity.

And the reason why he called him a dream boy was because after that day, he never saw him again and only ever saw him in his dreams.

To his savior, that was possibly one of every other day of his life, and he did not put too much meaning into what he did and who he saved. But to Myung-woo, who saw the light for the first time, he could never forget that day.

All he knew about him was that he was a recessive Omega with the name Yun-tae, as written on his second gender report he was taking home that day.

He looked sad, but even despite his sadness, he still decided to save him, who was being surrounded by big dogs.

He was sure he saw him get bitten but he assured Myung-woo he was fine and went home.

He did not see him after that day, no matter how many times and how long he waited at that spot he had passed.

Well, they knew of Myung-woo’s dream boy but the possibility of him meeting that boy from over more than ten years ago once more was very low. Yet, they respected his heart’s wish and Woo-bin did not pursue it.

But... Myung-woo did find his dream boy. He found him with his best friend’s younger brother, and though his heart was filled with glee, he did not approach and simply watched him.

He informed them about Yun-tae and that was possibly why Woo-bin had stepped up to be a matchmaker.

"So, Yun-tae is ’that’ dream boy?" Chin-hwa asked and Hae-won nodded.

"It’s surprising, right? It’s like the world revolves around us for some reason and brings back what we desire the most." He smiled and slid Chin-hwa’s hair away from his forehead. "Just as how the world brought back Kang-woo to you." He kissed his forehead and said, "Now, keep Myung-woo a secret from Yun-tae for now, okay? Myung-woo wants to do things his own way so let’s support him."

Chin-hwa nodded and went to sit but it weighed heavily in his mind.

Just how was the world swirling?

"Are you okay?" Kang-woo asked, noticing he was out of it and he nodded, beaming a smile.

"Yeah, just thinking about some stuff." He said and lowered his head.

He made it so that Yun-tae and Kang-woo could date because Yun-tae liked Kang-woo but... There was someone else who liked Yun-tae. Someone who had waited for him for a really long time.

Someone who would give him the happiness he longed for. The family he wished to have.

So, was he in the wrong here? This mistake... Could he fix it somehow?

The dolphin show ended, and they headed back home. The next day, they went to an amusement park. Just the two of them and honestly... Chin-hwa had never felt so free before.

Well, he had, hit after all that had happened, all he had discovered, the trip to the amusement park lightened his heart a lot.

"I’m glad we came here," Chin-hwa said as he gullibly licked his cone ice cream and Kang-woo smiled.

"Yeah, me too."

But they did not stay for dinner that night. Chin-hwa suddenly felt he needed to leave the house and made up an excuse of needing to finish up his assignment that he forgot about so they needed to head out early and not have dinner there.

"Well then, take care." Woo-bin said, kissing the top of his head. "Come again next week, okay? And answer my video calls for once."

"No way, I can’t have the whole school knowing my daddy is ’the’ Woo-bin." He said, breaking Woo-bin’s heart and he sobbed more, wetting Chin-hwa with his tears.

"Then at least answer me when you’re alone. I want to see your face every day." He gave the sad eyes and Chin-hwa looked away.

"I’ll try... If I’m not busy."

Woo-bin squeezed him in a hug.

If anyone saw them, they would think Chin-hwa was leaving the country for ten years or something. But he would be back the next week; woo-bin just liked to over-exaggerate.

If Chin-hwa made the mistake of answering his video call then he wouldn’t be able to cut the call till the next morning because Woo-bin would insist on watching him sleep.

"Dad, I’m heading out now." Chin-hwa said to Baek-Hyun who hugged him and then kissed his forehead.

"Take care," he said and brushed his eyebrows, causing Chin-hwa to grunt.

"I’m fine, I’m fine. Nothing’s wrong with my eyebrows, Dad." He said and Baek-Hyun sighed.

"I liked it better when you called me Papa." He said and Hae-won stifled a laugh from the back. "What’s so funny, Aein?"

"Oh, you’re just so adorable," Hae-won said.

"What about me? Aren’t I adorable?" Woo-bin asked eagerly pointing at himself and waiting for a compliment.

Hae-won laughed, clapping his face in his hands, and rubbed their nose together.

"Of course, you’re adorable, you little wolf." He said and Chin-hwa darted his eyes away.

Seriously, they were almost 50, weren’t they? Why were they acting like kids even till now?

He looked back to find Kang-woo smiling at the sight. He was used to it so there was no use being embarrassed in front of him.

"Alright, we’ll be off." Chin-hwa said and just before he entered the car, he remembered something and ran towards Woo-bin. "Daddy," he beaconed him down, and he bent his back to bring his ear to his son. "I need Myung-woo’s number."

"What do you need his number for?"

"If he’s going after my friend, I need to at least know what he’s planning," Chin-hwa said and Woo-bin stared at him, observing his expression.

He looked serious. Guess he cared for his friend a lot.

"Alright, give me your phone." He took Chin-hwa’s phone and typed the number in. "Now, be careful with him, okay?"

"I will." Chin-hwa said, planted a kiss on Woo-bin’s cheek, and then ran off.

Woo-bin felt so proud for gaining a kiss, and his nose shot up in the air.

"Are you done?" Kang-woo asked as Chin-hwa entered the car and Chin-hwa nodded.

"Yeah, let’s go."
