Timeless Hunter: Blood Of Old-Chapter 10: Reached the university.
Shadow wolf alpha ( rare)
Level 9
Strength: 23
Agility : 4?
Perception: 26
Endurance:18
Vitality:3?
Will:13
Spirit: 12
Skill- S????????
’ A speed type? Shit.’ this was the worst situation for him. He couldn’t see the full name of it skill let alone it description.
He knew it was because his inspect skill level was still low. It seemed higher grade skills grew slower. Future sight was still a long way from level 2.
He drew his bow and immediately used future sight, he felt a tremendous amount of mana flow to his eyes.
He saw the wolf pouncing on him, he adjusted his aim and released the bow. The wolf pounced a second later as expected.
It jumped straight into the arrow’s path and the mana infused arrow easily pierced through it skin.
It endurance was low so even a normal arrow would’ve hurt it. It advantage lay in it speed.
The arrow pierced through it ribs but unfortunately Akaris missed his aim and his arrow missed the heart.
But he did manage to slow down the wolf, it howled in pain, it howl pierced through the rain.
More howls followed, ’ Shit, it pack.’ he stood up to run but when he turned to look he saw the scorpion on top of a building.
He ran even faster, he didn’t even see a wolf running at him from the side until it pounced on him.
It massive maw was only a metre away from him when a spike pierced through it head. He was so startled he almost fell.
He looked back and saw the scorpion crawling down the side of the building, it shot spikes his way missing every single one.
However it spikes saved him from the wolf pack, after killing two of them accidentally they ignored him and attacked it.
Not all of them, three wolves still chased after him. They were not as fast as the alpha but still faster than he was by far.
He pulled three arrows, using future sight he was able to see what they will do in the next second.
He shot his arrows where the wolves would be and because of that he did not miss a single one.

Each shadow wolf was an uncommon monster and each one stronger than the imp warrior. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
However in a one on one fight he believed the imp warrior would win, it wasn’t skilled but still a better fighter than these wolves.
He had come to realise that stats didn’t necessarily determine ones strength, he was proof of that.
The wolves were even more predictable than the imp and couldn’t block his arrows like the imp could.
However he felt empty like something was missing after using future sight four times in such quick successions.
Plus the other times he had used it today, he didn’t even have enough mana to strengthen his legs anymore so his speed lowered.
Fortunately for him his university was not far, after running for a while he saw the gates. They were not locked and he went inside.
Using the rain as cover he was able to hide from the monster. They were goblins, he sighed with relief.
’ Finally, beginner level monsters.’ he ran into the gym area, he killed the few goblins he found there.
Then ran to the storage room, he locked the door behind him. There he found what he was looking for.
Bows and arrows, there were other weapons like swords, spears etc. but they were all made for practice.
However he was privy to some information in his school, he knew there were real weapon in the university’s director’s office.
That man was a collector, he liked to collect and train himself in every weapon he could get his hands on.
Akaris planned to go there later but for now he needed to rest. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.
When he woke up he checked his status.
Name: Akaris Cronos
Race: Human
Level: 8 ( 56%)
Class: N/A
Free stats: 1
Strength: 12
Agility: 13
Perception: 19
Endurance: 10
Vitality: 16
Will: 17
Spirit: 23
Innate traits: Eyes of Cronos (??????)
Awakened skills:
Hawk Eyes- level 8 ( 12%)
Future sight- level 1 ( 9%)
Inspect- Level 1 ( 50%)
Gained skills:
Archery- Level 9 ( 83%)
Hand to Hand combat- level 5 ( 30%)
Spearmanship- level 1 ( 14%)
Swordsmanship- level 1 (32%)
Axemanship-level 2 (23)
He chose to add that free stat on agility and it seemed draining his mana increased his spirit by a single point.
He was quite disappointed in future sight and inspect though. He used future sight to the point of draining out his mana yet it only increased by a single percentage.
It was still just level one, inspect was a bit better, it was halfway to level 2. He wondered what changes there will be.
Perhaps he’ll be able to see skills and descriptions. He stood up and collected all the bows in the room.
He wanted to make a stronger bow, he chose the one with the strongest and largest body.
He untied the strings from the bows then started knitting them together. In the end he made a thicker string.
He tied it on the bow and pulled, without using mana he could barely pull it. He strengthened his arm with mana.
The string was pulled all the way but he still felt a strain. The bow had grown more powerful but also inefficient.
Now it cannot be used in a quick battle like the ones he usually faces. So he modified it again.
The end result was a bow with two strings, the thicker one for power and the normal one for speed.
He could untie one end of each string easily by pressing a wooden pin near the tip of the bow, when he did, they would be pulled to the other end like a spring.
This way he can rapidly change them. After modifying the bow he did so with the arrows as well.
He didn’t have to change anything though, there were all types of arrows here. Larger and thicker arrows as well.
Ones that can hook into the target and arrows that spin when shot, like a drill increasing their penetrative power.
