Time Travel: The Heroine Has Arrived!-Chapter 1429: Grim Reaper Girl VS Deranged Villainess (Part 14)
Qiao Zhihe sat on the bed waiting for the arrival of Gu Shengyin.
He was even thinking about what gift Sister Death would bring him...
Just as he was bowing his head in thought, a cold wind swept by, and Qiao Zhihe happily lifted his head: "Sister Death!"
He still didn’t know Gu Shengyin’s name, so he always called her Sister Death.
The wide black cloak quietly fell to the ground, the pure black scythe cold and sharp.
But Qiao Zhihe was not afraid at all.
He knew this person wouldn’t hurt him.
Gu Shengyin gently opened her hand, and a dark red light rose from her palm, slowly flying in front of Qiao Zhihe.
After the red light faded away, its true form was revealed—a droplet-shaped crimson Crystal Stone, about the size of a thumb, refracting beautiful light under the lamp.
"Happy birthday, Little Crane." Gu Shengyin said softly.
Qiao Zhihe very cherishedly placed the beautiful stone under his pillow.
Gu Shengyin said, "This thing can protect you in critical times."
She thought for a moment, moved her hands, and the stone that Qiao Zhihe had placed under his pillow was back in her hands.
But this time, the stone had an added red string on it.
"Lower your head." Gu Shengyin said.
Qiao Zhihe immediately understood what she wanted to do.
He obediently lowered his head, the fourteen-year-old boy was already not shorter than the Grim Reaper.
But Qiao Zhihe was very curious, clearly this hood didn’t completely cover Sister Death’s face, so why could he never see it clearly?
He suddenly raised his head, and the two were very close, Gu Shengyin’s hand still on his neck, from afar, they looked like they were hugging.
At such a close distance, Qiao Zhihe could only see a beautifully contoured pale chin.
Something stirred in his heart, wanting to do something, but Gu Shengyin had already released her hand, stepping back a bit.
For some reason, a surge of disappointment suddenly welled up in Qiao Zhihe’s heart.
He didn’t even know where this disappointment came from.
Gu Shengyin quietly looked at him: "You’re not happy."
Qiao Zhihe was taken aback, was he not happy?
What was he unhappy about?
Gu Shengyin looked at his bewildered expression, sighed inwardly, and just considered it a mood swing of a teenager.
She gave him a look, then suddenly said, "Today is your birthday, I will grant you one wish as usual, how about that?"
Qiao Zhihe’s eyes brightened, and the little bit of hidden anticipation in his heart started to stir restlessly.
Gu Shengyin then saw the child in front of her look at her with bright eyes: "Sister Death, can you grant me two things?"
Gu Shengyin shook her head slightly. She raised one finger.
Her meaning was clear, she could only grant one request.
Qiao Zhihe hesitated for a moment, then said, "Then, can you pull down the hood and let me see what you look like?"
He had known Sister Death since he was seven years old.
But until he was fourteen, besides the title of Sister Death, he didn’t know her name, or what she looked like.
Gu Shengyin was stunned.
She hadn’t expected Qiao Zhihe to make such a request.
Qiao Zhihe saw that she didn’t move for a long time, and couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed: "Sister Death?"
When he called out, his tone carried a trace of coquettishness that he himself hadn’t noticed.
