"What is Annie trying to do?"
Charlotte shook her head in disbelief, her expression growing more serious.
"Whatโs happened?" Noticing Charlotteโs expression, Justin Battleson stepped forward and asked softly.
Charlotte showed the phone interface to Justin and sighed.
"Can you reach Oliver Hudson?"
At the mention of Oliver Hudsonโs name, Justinโs brow furrowed thoughtfully.
This action prompted Charlotte to guess.
"Has he really left?"
"I heard the news from Adam Ross," Justin replied, his voice sinking.
"Also, it seems something has happened to the Hudson Family."
Charlotteโs pupils contracted, her emotions becoming complex, "Letโs leave the hospital first."
Just at the mention of the Hudson Family, Charlotte couldnโt help but think of Henry Hudson, hoping to get some news about Oliver Hudson from him.
Justin nodded, then went to handle Charlotteโs discharge procedures. But as soon as Justin left, a nurse came to Charlotteโs hospital room.
"Miss Thompson, Doctor Vincent wants you to come to the office. He has something to give you."
Although Charlotte had developed some resistance towards Vincent, she followed the nurse to Vincentโs office.
Upon entering, Charlotte saw Vincent standing by the window. Hearing the noise, he turned his head and sported a familiar smile upon seeing Charlotte.
"Youโve come."
Vincent stepped forward, gesturing for Charlotte to sit next to him, but Charlotte remained standing without any movement.
"The nurse said you have something to give me. What is it?" Charlotte asked directly.
However, Vincent disregarded Charlotteโs question, instead frowning sadly, his voice carrying some confusion as he spoke.
"Charlotte, arenโt we good friends? But why are you becoming distant from me now? Did I do something wrong?"
"Is that so? Why do you feel that way?"
Charlotte countered indifferently, her lips curved but devoid of any real smile in her eyes.
Charlotte wasnโt making wild guesses, but the events of recent days seemed intentionally or unintentionally pointing towards Vincent.
"I really hope... Iโm just overthinking."
Vincent chuckled softly and then turned, extracting a document from the desk and handing it to Charlotte.
"By the way, what I want to give you is Graceโs medical report."
Charlotte accepted it with a puzzled expression, starting to wonder what Vincent was trying to do.
However, Vincentโs next words hit Charlotte like a lightning bolt.
"Oh, I also want to tell you, Grace absolutely cannot undergo heart transplant surgery right now, because her problem is not only with her heart, but also with other organs."
"What did you say?" Charlotteโs pupils suddenly contracted.
"I said, if the person performing the surgery on Grace isnโt me, then she will certainly die."
Charlotteโs emotions suddenly surged, and she stepped forward quickly, demanding in front of Vincent:
"Vincent, what exactly did you do to Grace?"
