Three Little Troublemakers Turned the World Upside Down After My Divorce-Chapter 21
Can You Say Something?
“President Li, how is it? The truth is already in front of you, right?” Shen Ning’s eyes flashed with a sarcastic smile, her expression cold and her voice sharp.
Li Zhenting’s face darkened, and his thin lips curved into a cold and stern arc as he gave a command in a deep voice, “Immediately dismiss Secretary Li.”
“Alright.” Shen Mei’s arrogance vanished completely at this moment, and she nodded in agreement as if she herself were Secretary Li, as if she had committed a crime.
“Hahaha…” Shen Ning couldn’t help but burst into laughter. “Mr. Li, your way of handling things is indeed unique. Throughout this whole incident, Secretary Li had very little to do with it, yet you choose to dismiss her. Is that fairness and justice?”
“She concealed and failed to report, her actions were malicious.
“Hmph,” Shen Ning sneered repeatedly. “Even if she concealed and failed to report, it was to protect our beloved Ms Shen. Her loyalty is commendable. Such a mistake should be reprimanded, not deserving of dismissal. Tsk tsk, Mr. Li, your biased protection is simply laughable.”
“What do you want, then?” Li Zhenting suddenly wore a wicked smile on his lips.
Shen Ning sneered.
So you want to protect Shen Mei? I won’t allow it!
“Mr. Li,” Shen Ning raised her eyebrows, her tone unwavering. “Just now, you saw it for yourself. Shen Mei was the one who first splashed my face with phthalate, clearly intending to ruin my appearance. This behavior is despicable. I want to send her to the police station to face the consequences.”
“No, Zhenting, I had no idea it was phthalate in the bottle. She said she wanted to destroy the perfume I had worked hard to develop, and that it was going bad. I acted out of impatience and splashed the perfume on her face unintentionally. It was not intentional,” Shen Mei panicked, tears streaming down her face as she held Li Zhenting’s hand, explaining herself.
Shen Ning laughed disdainfully. “No matter how you defend yourself, you can’t wash away the guilt in your heart. In the face of evidence, your excuses are useless.”
“But you also slapped her,” Li Zhenting avoided the topic, speaking in a calm tone.
“Haha.” Shen Ning laughed in anger once again. “Mr. Li, you’re pretending to be ignorant while understanding everything. You’re quite calculating. If you like, I can splash the same liquid on her face right now and let her slap me in return. Then we’ll be even. How about that?”
After saying that, she actually went back inside to fetch the bottle of dimethyl phthalate.
“Zhenting, I really didn’t mean it. You have to believe me,” Shen Mei pleaded anxiously. If the liquid were to be splashed on her face, it would instantly ruin her appearance. Without her beautiful face, how could she become Mrs. Li?
She trembled with fear!
Li Zhenting tightly pursed his thin lips, and a cold and dignified aura pressed down, lowering the air pressure around him.
As an experienced and battle-hardened businessman, he could see through all the twists and turns.
“Mr. Li, can we do it or not? Say something,” Shen Ning waved the bottle of liquid in her hand, her cold gaze like a knife.
“She is your sister,” Li Zhen Ting finally spoke slowly.
“Sister?” Shen Ning wanted to burst into laughter. “Her? Don’t tarnish the word ‘sister’ like that.”
She caused her mother’s death, stole her husband, and pushed her into the sea. Could this woman still be considered a sister? If the evidence were solid, she would send her to jail without hesitation, not allowing her to live another day!
Li Zhenting was deeply disturbed by the anger he saw in Shen Ning’s eyes.
What kind of anger was it? Despair, sadness, pain, numbness—so intense that it made his heart twitch!
“Li Zhenting, honestly… If you don’t take action against Shen Mei today, our cooperation ends here. You figure it out. And I will still take the evidence to the police station,” Shen Ning fiercely uttered her threat.
Li Zhenting fell silent for a moment and suddenly said, “Alright, I promise you.”
