Tianyi glanced at the three envoys from outside the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System. Hyllus, Castor, and Pollux allowed his eyes to roam over them in a magnanimous manner. They had long grown accustomed to such gazes in other systems and even their own. Though, it was more admiration than scrutinization in their home system.

He was the one who noticed them. Of course, it was only when the three came into contact with the Xiyi Talismans, but that wasn’t the only reason.

Millions, if not billions, of people use the Xiyi Talisman every day. Granted, the number in the Immortal Realm only made up a pitifully small percentage, but it was still too much for Tianyi to pay attention to each and every immortal. No, the reason why Tianyi noticed the three of them was because of their access point.

He suddenly noticed three Xiyi Talismans accessing the Xiyinet from an unclear location. It was within the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System of course. It was not from an immortal grotto, either. Although immortal grottos were secretive, they need an anchor and cannot be easily moved. As long as someone within had a Xiyi Talisman, Tianyi could locate them, but it was different from those three.

If Tianyi had to compare, it would be the difference between someone accessing the Xiyinet from his Nine Heavens Universe and the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System. It wasn’t completely the same, and he could tell that it was still in the same timeline and plane of existence as the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System.

Because he noticed the abnormality, he began to pay attention to them. In order to avoid rustling the grass to alert the snake, he was very careful. But Tianyi knew this matter was not something he could keep secret once he learned that they came from the True Nothingness.

Grand Elder Xia did not make light of Tianyi’s report. He spoke to Minister Everpast, who directly reported to the Concealed Emperor.

With Tianyi’s reminder and his own abilities, the Concealed Emperor located them. He did not hide his discoveries from Tianyi and the others.

The Parthenon Temple was a palace-type artifact at the Divine Realm. The three were demigods, and they could control the divine temple not because of their mastery, but because of their divine blood.

He recognized Hyllus, the son of Herakles and grandson of God King Zeus, but he couldn’t recall the other two. It was only thanks to Tianyi that he learned of their names, linking them to the god king.

The Concealed Emperor and the others might not know about the Gemini twins, but Tianyi did. He didn’t know if it was exactly the same as the legends from Earth, but he at least recognized them. He also knew about Hyllus, but compared to his father, Tianyi was woefully lacking information.

With the Concealed Emperor’s attention, the Immortal Court naturally knew the general location of the Parthenon. So when they arrived in the Primordial Realm, the Immortal Court was ready to receive them.

Tianyi joined the group of people waiting at the Mortal Severance Gate. Although he recognized them, the three demigods didn’t recognize him. Although they did try to find information on the Nine Heavens Emperor, they didn’t recognize Tianyi’s face. With the passage of time, Tianyi’s original face became less and less known. Now, it was just one of many possible faces of the Nine Heavens Emperor. Hell, the actor Gu Chuan found to play him in Heaven’s Will Chronicle was thought to have more credibility.

While moving toward Central Peak, Tianyi was constantly observing the trio. Demigods had access to divine sense, so they could tell when someone was using the same thing or immortal sense to observe them, but Tianyi had different methods of observation. Though, he did not probe deeply or into their bodies.

Although demigods were equivalent to or had the power of immortals, they were ultimately not the same realm or path.

He could feel a powerful vitality and aura rolling off the demigods. It was different from the hundred servants following behind them. They had power, but it wasn’t as innate as the demigods. It felt like it was grafted onto them or because of their equipment. The demigods themselves felt more powerful, but not as controlled as immortals.

The closest path Tianyi could compare was the martial path, but that wasn’t exactly the same either.

In addition, he could feel the power of faith in their body. It wasn’t the same as being a divinity of faith. True, they used the power, but it was something closer to a supplement, and their core was different. How different, Tianyi didn’t know. He’d have to probe into their bodies, but that would likely arouse their vigilance.

Soon, they arrived at Central Peak. The palace at the top was no longer the one that was used by the Buzhou Immortal Sect, but the divine palace which was once sealed within the forbidden grounds. Sitting at the front and center was the Concealed Emperor.

“Welcome, Hyllus, son of Herakles,” the Concealed Emperor said. At his words, the other immortal ministers waiting inside turned their attention and scanned the three demigods.

Although Hyllus and his companions had strength at the peak of the Immortal Realm, it was still daunting to face over a hundred demigod-level experts. They hadn’t thought much of it at the time, but when they really saw the amount of demigod level experts, it was still shocking.

Still, their pride made them refuse to show weakness.

“Thank you for the warm welcome. Forgive our sudden intrusion. It’s a bit difficult to send messages over long distances,” Hyllus said. He didn’t bow or nod. He wasn’t taught the local customs and, more importantly, he was acting as the representative of the Herakles System, thus showing servility would be admitting inferiority. “I wonder if Your Majesty also participated in that grand war?”

“It can be considered participation,” the Concealed Emperor said, with no plans on elucidating the three demigods’ curiosity. “Are you tired, do you want to rest?”

“No need, we are quite well-rested,” Hyllus said.

“That’s good. Then we can bring forward the banquet. After that, we can discuss business,” the Concealed Emperor said.

The three demigods were seated to the Concealed Emperor’s right. Their servants were also seated, but in a far less respectable location as the guests of honor. Of course they weren’t too low, just average.

Tables were brought out and placed in front of everyone. Soon, wine and all sorts of delicacies were placed on the table. How could there be a banquet without a show? Dancers and musicians entered the center and began their show.

“How is it? Do you like the dances of our Three Thousand Immortal Realms System?” Minister Everpast asked. Although the Concealed Emperor greeted them, the duty of making small talk fell to an immortal minister like himself.

“It’s interesting,” Hyllus said. “The dancers have an exotic beauty to them.”

“They are members of the Entertainment Department led by the Eighteen Flower Fairies. There’s even a legend that says the most beautiful woman in the world is in the Entertainment Department. Even an emperor would willingly die just to see their beauty for one second,” Minister Everpast said.

“Oh?” Castor let out. “Is that the case? It’s hard to tell with the veil on their faces. And the faces I can see are amazing, but not that amazing. I can’t help but feel that those veils are covering nothing more than lies.”

Pollux frowned but did not rebuke Castor’s words.

Minister Everpast smiled and didn’t seem to mind. He stroked his beard. “If you want to know, how about spending a night with one of them? I’m sure many of them would love to spend a night in the company of someone as esteemed as yourself.”

“If that’s the case, I’ll take you up on your offer,” Castor said.

Pollux’s words rang in his mind. “Don’t leave behind anything.”

“I know, this isn’t my first time,” Castor responded back using the same method. He looked away and scanned the immortals present. Many of the female immortals weren’t as alluring as the dancers, but many of them were still beautiful.

In fact, one had an enchanting beauty that made him want to have a taste of her, even if she had a perpetually icy expression. She wore a purple dress embroidered with silver phoenixes. The most eye-catching feature about her was her pair of bedeviling eyes.

Perhaps noticing his gaze, she turned toward him. Castor smiled and raised a cup. However, the woman looked away indifferently. That only aroused his interest.

“Who’s that?”

Minister Everpast looked at where Castor pointed to and smiled. “That’s Grand Elder Xi. She’s one of the two most promising candidates to become a divinity.”

“I see.” Castor nodded and brought the wine cup to his lips and downed it in one go. His eyes returned to the performance.

After the song and dance ended, the show was not over. A strange orb-shaped object floated above the hall. It released a wave of spiritual qi and an illusion was cast onto the ground.

“Oh, what’s this?” Hyllus asked as he watched the illusions play out an act.

“That’s a Three Dimensional Film,” Minister Everpast answered. “It became popular in recent years. With the advent of the Xiyi Talisman, a mortal recorded a play. The recording became a video that could be replayed over and over again without the need for actors. Gradually, such recordings became popular and became known as films. But some people weren’t satisfied and wanted to watch films as if they were plays, so they used an illusion to project the films. I don’t know who coined it, but someone called it three dimensional and the name stuck.”

“I see. What an innovative way to use illusions,” Hyllus said. “Once I return, I must find some witches and have them replicate it.”

“Then I will congratulate you on your success,” Minister Everpast said, his expression conveying only the sincerest emotions.

“Then I’ll thank you ahead of time,” Hyllus said. He raised his cup. “Come, a toast!”

Pollux ignored the conversation and held her cup up. A handsome immortal came forward and filled her cup. She brought it to her lips and looked at the attending immortals with disinterest. Although immortals are the equivalents to demigods of the Herakles System, demigods also had levels. Sons and grandsons of divinities were vastly different in power, outside of special circumstances.

The line between the weakest demigod and a powerful mortal was incredibly blurry, but it could generally be differentiated by lifespan. Only demigods had a long lifespan, while mortals would return to dust within a thousand or so years.

The closer the demigod’s blood relationship was to the divinity they descended from, the longer their lifespan was. Although it wasn’t a hundred percent correlative, it also represented their potential and strength. That said, there were many methods to extend their lifespan. And there are even cases of demigods or mortals becoming divinities, but unlike the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System, it was a harsh requirement.

New divinities of the Herakles System either had to receive godhood from a deceased deity and their dominion, or an existing deity must bestow upon them a divine dominion. The more powerful the dominion, the more powerful the resulting divinity. It was a bit like the different laws comprehended by cultivators.

At least, that used to be the case. After the great war against the devils, many divinities perished. Some of their divine dominions remained, waiting for someone to take them, but many of them were lost and destroyed. As long as someone could recreate that dominion and control it, they would become a divinity.

In this way, it was a bit like how immortals comprehended the worldly laws, only far more difficult.

As a demigod that survived long enough to witness the fall of God King Zeus and the rise of God King Herakles, Pollux was naturally not willing to remain a demigod. She, just like many others, wanted to become a true divinity. She wanted to try to comprehend the myriad laws and see if she could use that as a springboard to master a dominion.

After three days, the banquet ended, and the demigods were led to their temporary abode on Rites Peak. After a day of rest, they were once again led to Central Peak. Unlike the previous time, there were less immortals present, only the most powerful and decision makers.

“Now,” the Concealed Emperor began. “I wonder what your goal is for coming to us? Is there another great war upon us?”
