This Young Master is not Cannon Fodder-Chapter 551: Leave it to You
The remnants watched as their former comrades flew toward the True Dragon Realm, the Phoenix Realm, and Qilin Realm. It was obvious that the humans would plunder them next. They wanted to shout and berate their former comrades, but logic made them stop.
The demon remnants knew that this pardon was only temporary. If the humans saw them again after this, they would kill them without mercy. The only reason they left them alive was because their leaders had fallen and all that was left were some miscellaneous fish, and to prevent greater enmity from the surrendered demons.
With one unwilling glance, the demon remnants fled. If they stayed and waited until the humans left, it would remain unknown whether they would spare them again.
Most of the same lineage grouped together while a few went their separate ways. With no one to lead them, their power scattered forever. Some chose to hide among the uncaptured realms of the Divine Beast Pseudo System, while others chose to enter the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System first before hiding.
Many had expended a great deal of their qi in the war. Like immortals, demons, even demon emperors, could not restore their qi in the void. Thus, many of those that chose to travel to the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System first would perish from lack of qi. Only the strongest would survive the journey.
Now that they were in the three home courts of the Demon Clan, the leaders of the two hegemonic forces waged a war of words over the resources of the Demon Clan. Of course, Perfected Huanglong had already taken ten percent of the Demon Clan’s wealth first.
The Concealed Emperor didn’t mention it, so neither did Minister Vastlight, much less Emperor Southsword. Even if he wanted to, he had no foundation to voice his objection. He and the Numinous Sword Sect simply did not have the capital to bargain.
Even though he was only bargaining with Minister Vastlight, he was under great pressure. Any moment, his words could displease the Concealed Emperor or Perfected Huanglong. However, the situation he dreaded did not appear.
Rather, it was too smooth!
This gave Emperor Southsword a feeling that he was dreaming. The Immortal Court did not use the fact that they had a divinity to pressure him. ‘Was there something wrong with the Immortal Court’s divinity?’
If that was the case, it would explain the Immortal Court’s soft stance against the Numinous Sword Sect. However, it was just as likely that it was nothing more than a ploy to trick them into letting their guard down. Emperor Southsword didn’t know, but it didn’t prevent him from fighting for more benefits.
No matter which of the two situations, or the myriad of other possibilities, the fact that the Numinous Sword Sect needed their own divinity did not change. In order to increase the chances of this happening, the Numinous Sword Sect needed a vast amount of resources, and the defeated Demon Clan just so happened to have many of them.
Of course, what he knew, the Immortal Court also knew. So, Minister Vastlight and Emperor Southsword focused on haggling over the prime resources needed to forcibly ascend an immortal to the Divine Realm. For that, he was even willing to concede the True Dragon Realm, Phoenix Realm, and Qilin Realm to the Immortal Court.
Wealth did not mean just the resources in the Demon Clan’s treasury, it was also all the resource points in those three immortal-rank realms. Individually, those three realms could not compare to the Numinous Realm, Primordial Realm, or the newly formed Virtuous Realm, but together, they represented a massive amount of passive resources. Granted, it was probably not enough to equal even the smallest Virtuous Realm, but if the Numinous Sword Sect had taken control of it, they could have increased the amount of resources they obtained by twenty to thirty percent annually.
However, it would take at least thousands of years, if not hundreds of thousands of years, before those three realms could be relocated near the core of the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System after the Pseudo Divine Beast System merged with it.
Until then, whichever force occupied it would have to spend massive amounts of manpower and resources to manage the True Dragon Realm, Phoenix Realm, and Qilin Realm. It was undoubtedly a wiser choice for the long term, but the Numinous Sword Sect would not have a future if they did not cultivate a divinity before the Immortal Court attacked.
Although they teamed up to fight against the Demon Clan, Emperor Southsword was under no illusion that this alliance would remain after the threat of the Demon Clan vanished.
However, he could not make his plan too obvious, and he only “reluctantly” conceded the three immortal rank realms to the Immortal Court after much haggling.
Emperor Southsword hoped that the Immortal Court would spend a large amount of their attention, manpower, and resources to manage the True Dragon Realm, Phoenix Realm, and Qilin Realm. After negotiations finished, Emperor Southsword led the immortals of the Numinous Sword Sect to return to the Numinous Realm inside the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System.
Although they did not bring their mobile fortress, they brought a few realm artifacts in case of emergency. Now, they were using those realm artifacts to house their immortals while the emperors traveled through the Vast Void.
“Hm?” Tianyi paused and looked up. His gaze pierced the boundary of the True Dragon Realm and into the void. He could still see the back of Emperor Southsword and Bao Ling. ‘Was it just my imagination?’
Earlier, he felt something sharp near his back, akin to a sword pressing against his skin, but when he turned around, there was no one. The only one who could give him such a sense of threat was Bao Ling. Tianyi would never forget their fight. It was the first time he felt so outclassed.
“What’s wrong?”
Tianyi turned towards Daoyi. “It’s nothing.”
He walked toward the other leaders with Daoyi.
“Emperor,” Tianyi said with a bow.
“We were just talking about you,” the Concealed Emperor said with a smile.
“Me?” Tianyi repeated. ‘Is it about my contribution?’
“We all think you’re the most suitable for the job, considering your track record.”
‘Does he want me to kill the demon’s remnants? I mean, I could with my mastery over spacetime, but I don’t think my actions could escape Perfected Huanglong’s eyes.’ Tianyi thought. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
“Nonsense,” the Concealed Emperor interrupted. “There is no one more suitable than you.”
With his words, the other immortal emperors and monarchs nodded in agreement. Tianyi looked at them in confusion. Did they all agree to hunt down the demon remnants? Since everyone thought it was a good idea, then he could only accept it. Although he was strong, he didn’t think he was wiser than all the people present.
“If that’s the case, I will humbly accept this task.”
“Great!” The Concealed Emperor walked forward and patted Tianyi’s shoulders. “You have helped us tremendously.”

‘Why does it sound like you are sending me on a suicide mission?’
“Moving three immortal-rank realms is a tiresome task, but if it’s you, it’ll take some time and save a lot of resources. Once again, thank you. I’ll leave it to you.”
It took a full five seconds for Tianyi to process what he just heard. He snapped around toward the Concealed Emperor who was leaving. “Wait, wait, wait! That’s too much, even for me.”
“What do you mean? Did you not merge ninety-nine realms into the Huang Realm and create the Primordial Realm?”
“I was only leading that. And I had help from the other ministers and we used a giant formation with the Huang Realm at the core!” Tianyi cried out.
“I have confidence in you. Did you not defeat the realm beast one-on-one?”
At that question, Tianyi found himself silenced. He looked at the sky in despair and groaned.
Daoyi covered her mouth with her sleeve and giggled. “I’ll be cheering you on.”
Tianyi glared at her. “Traitor.”
She only smiled. To her, Tianyi’s glare was like a spring breeze. Comfortable and not threatening at all.
Tianyi sighed and vanished. “Since you want me to move the three realms, I’ll do as you wish and immediately. Even before you finish!”
When he moved the three realms, it’ll definitely cause a commotion and make it difficult for the Immortal Court to do some things. It wasn’t too effective, but it could convey his irritation and annoyance.
In the void between the three realms, Tianyi appeared. Strictly speaking, the True Dragon Realm, Phoenix Realm, and Qilin realm could only be considered pseudo immortal rank realms. The reason why all three were considered immortal rank realms was because of a special formation that linked the three of them together.
Now, Tianyi wanted to add himself as the core of the formation and move the three realms by dragging them. It was akin to a solar system. The planets orbited the sun and where the sun went; the planets went. Of course, this was a great simplification.
Tianyi needed to dissect the formation linking the three realms and created a new one with four components. He would need years at the very least. It was a good thing he had multiple bodies, or he would have gone crazy.
While Tianyi worked on moving the three realms, the Concealed Emperor brought Perfected Huanglong back to the unofficially named Buzhou Immortal Island. The rest of the demons followed Minister Everpast and most of the immortals back. Minister Vastlight and a few immortals stayed behind to manage the True Dragon Realm, Phoenix Realm, and Qilin Realm.
When Minister Everpast and the other immortals brought the demons back, they did not allow them to enter the Immortal Court. Instead, they allowed the demons free rein and simply left. Of course, they warned the demons that they were not allowed to massacre mortals or devour them on a large scale for pleasure and other debauched reasons, like the Human Refinement Plan they came up with a century ago.
At first, the demons were timid and huddled together for warmth, but as time passed, they discovered that the humans really didn’t care about them. Thus, they became bolder and explored their new home.
Many demons grouped up according to their species, like wolves with wolves, bears with bears, dragons with dragons, but some solitary species drifted away. Without the pressure of the Immortal Court and Numinous Sword Sect and guidance of their leaders, these demons were like a batch of loose sands. Even if new leaders emerge, they could no longer unite all the demons, and this state would only increase in time.
The new leaders knew that if they united again, the humans might perceive them as a threat and eliminate them. It was akin to an emperor who didn’t like his officials allying with each other. The emperor would feel as if the officials had a rebellious heart. Even if they didn’t, no emperor would allow a force that could threaten his life to continue.
A minority of the demons flew toward the Central Region of the Trinity Continent, sincerely wishing to join the Immortal Court. Such demons were treated as outcasts and only a few were successful.
Most of the demons laid claim to territory and governed it. Although thousands of years have passed since the Huang Realm transformed into the Primordial Realm, there were still many unoccupied lands. It was not that the existing forces were unwilling to increase their territory, but the land was simply too large and they did not have enough manpower to rule them. They were already stretched thin as it was.
The clan that claimed the most territory was the Dragon Clan and those of their lineage. Humans didn’t like living in the water, even if they had the ability to do so.
Demons who didn’t like water lived on the land. No matter how hard they tried, it was inevitable that they would encounter humans. Conflicts inevitably broke out, with demons enduring anything, fearing that the Immortal Court would kill them.
Once the humans they encountered discovered that the demons were unwilling to attack them, they attacked with even greater enthusiasm. Once or twice, the demons could endure, but eventually, they had to counterattack. Those demons made those foolish humans realize the error of their ways.
Immediately after, the demons ran away, fearing retaliation from the Immortal Court. However, they discovered that no one came to arrest or punish them, and they realized that the Immortal Court really won’t care. As long as they didn’t violate any taboo or massacre humans on a large scale, the Immortal Court let them do as they please.
Because of this, the demons became bolder and attacked the human forces, driving them away and occupying the fertile and resource aplenty lands. How could the original forces stand this? They counterattacked and the humans and demons eventually became embroiled in a conflict. It wasn’t frequent at first, but as the Primordial Realm became more and more developed, the intensity would increase.
Some people realized this was the Immortal Court’s scheme. The Immortal Court did not want any human force to grow powerful enough to threaten them, so they used the demons to curb them. Simultaneously, they used the human forces to keep the demons in check.
It was an open scheme, but no one could do anything to break the situation.
