Chapter 30: Chapter 30 Alchemy Note
Chapter 30 -30 Alchemy Note
Having returned to his own laboratory, Lucien flicked his hand and took out several items he had obtained from Apollo.
“Tsk, had I known earlier, I wouldn’t have used fire witchcraft. The battle was indeed effective, but many spoils of war ended up being burnt by the flames,” Lucien said as he sorted through the items, shaking his head with a tinge of heartache.
He felt that, while he had put on quite the show with that fire on the battlefield, it was now his own loot that had suffered.
These were all Magic Stones!
After sighing for quite some time, Lucien finally began to examine the few items left behind by Apollo.
Typically, Wizards only trusted themselves, so they would usually carry their most precious possessions on their person.
However, after the scorching flames of the Torch Fire Technique, the only things remaining from Apollo’s belongings that were still intact were three items.
They were a fractured knight’s lance, the Wizard Robe he had been wearing, and an exquisite black ring.
“A decent defensive Witch Tool, although it might be somewhat superfluous for me,” Lucien first examined Apollo’s Wizard Robe, which was slightly damaged, but with minor repairs, it could be used normally again.
According to Lucien’s estimation, this Wizard Robe could perfectly defend against a burst energy level of 100P in witchcraft. However, if the energy level exceeded 100P, defending would cause certain wear and tear on the Witch Tool, and at its limit, it could only aid Lucien in resisting a witchcraft attack of 200-250P once.
“I’ll leave it for Carly,” Lucien shook his head. The Wizard Robe was somewhat superfluous to him. But it would be a pity to sell it outright, so he could give it to Carly as an additional layer of protection.

As for the broken lance, Lucien recognized it as one of Apollo’s powerful attack Witch Tools and set it aside after a brief inspection.
Finally, Lucien picked up the black ring.
The ring was simple in design, carved as if from a single Crystal Stone, and upon lightly touching its surface, one could feel the change in its special texture, while on the inside of the ring there was an unassuming signature—E.W.
Lucien observed it for a while without figuring out its significance, but the fact that the ring had resisted the burns of the Torch Fire Technique already proved its worth.
After pondering for a moment, Lucien cautiously separated a strand of spiritual power and penetrated the ring to inspect it.
Boom—
The next moment, Lucien felt an independent small space, within which there were stored numerous items and materials.
“A Space Ring,” Lucien’s eyes immediately lit up.
This sort of storage Witch Tool was not something any Wizard within Greybone Academy could craft. To acquire one would typically require looting or trading externally, hence they were quite valuable, generally affordable only by a select few third-level Wizard Apprentices and Formal Wizards.
Although the original Lucien was decently powerful, he had never been determined enough to buy one, and never imagined he would find one on a second-level Wizard Apprentice.
“It seems that Apollo must have had a special encounter prior to this,” Lucien activated his spiritual power and thoroughly scouted the inside of the Space Ring, a hint of delight appearing in his eyes.
“Indeed, it is these unconventional means that are the quickest way to earn Magic Stones,” Lucien let out a light breath.
The Space Ring was not large, the interior being a tiny space of just under 2 cubic meters, yet what it carried were Apollo’s most valuable possessions. There were over seventy Magic Stones alone. Moreover, there were numerous collected resources which, by Lucien’s rough estimate, were worth at least 150 Magic Stones in total.
Of course, aside from these common Magic Stones and resources, there were a few of Apollo’s treasured collections within the storage space.
The collection included a beautiful leaf with purple veins, an ancient leather-bound book, and a special Crystal Stone Lucien had never seen before.
“Purple Vein Hundred Networks Leaf.” Lucien’s eyes first landed on the leaf, filled with a hint of obsession.
This inconspicuous-looking leaf was actually worth at least two hundred Magic Stones, for it was the main ingredient in the potion “Hora’s Blessing”—a precious auxiliary potion that could enhance a Third-level Wizard Apprentice’s prospects of becoming a Formal Wizard!
It could be said that this was a precious resource that all Third-level Wizard Apprentices would intentionally seek out, truly priceless.
“This must have been prepared by Apollo for himself, but now, it belongs to me.” Lucien smiled as he carefully returned the Hundred Networks Leaf to the Space Ring, then he picked up the book with the red cover.
“Hmm?” Lucien’s expression changed quickly.
For the leather book’s fastener was set with human finger bones. And upon closer inspection, Lucien discovered that the material of the book was actually…
The thought that he might be touching a dead person’s skin made Lucien’s skin crawl.
“It is said that in the ancient times of the Wizard World, the wizards back then were even more brutal, even establishing several Wizard Empires with Wizard Towers at their core to execute their tyrannical rule. And the wizards of that time had a high regard for the human body.” Lucien’s eyes were profound as information emerged in his mind.
“Only the research they were most proud of would be recorded on Human Skin Notes by servants who were utterly loyal to their souls, and its dissemination was strictly restricted. For every book written, the finger of the person responsible for recording it would be chopped off…”
Lucien took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing the nausea in his heart before flipping open this ancient notebook with a strong sense of history.
“Just as I thought.” After seeing the ancient script on the note, Lucien understood that his deduction was correct. This Human Skin Note was a product of the most insane era of the Wizard World.
Ester Will?
When Lucien saw the name recorded in the unnamed note, he quickly connected it to the signature on the inside of the ring. His mind stirred, and then he began flipping through the book swiftly.
“So this is a Space Crystal Stone.” Lucien looked at the small, transparent Crystal Stone nearby and nodded slightly.
He then closed his eyes to silently assimilate the knowledge recorded in the note.
It was the Alchemy Note of the wizard Ester.
Besides some less important information, the note recorded five Zero-level Witchcrafts, two First Order Witchcrafts, and a systematic set of alchemic knowledge. It even included the method to create Space Witch Tools.
Indeed, it was a complete inheritance of an Alchemist that could take a wizard from an Alchemy Apprentice (Wizard Apprentice Rank) all the way to becoming an Alchemist (Formal Wizard Rank).
“It seems that Apollo’s unique opportunity was inheriting the legacy of wizard Ester,” Lucien opened his eyes, “This Alchemist’s inheritance is even more complete than what the original owner learned from mentor Pinor in elementary potions studies.”
