...

"Stop!"

"I told you, this is just a test!"

Dania shouted relentlessly.

However, Matthew’s movements showed no sign of stopping—

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

One glass jar after another was smashed directly by him.

The hall at the top of the tower soon filled with a strong stench of corpses.

As colorful special liquids flowed into every gap of the floor, many tiles began to be violently corroded.

In the worst places, they were even corroded into small pits and holes.

As the liquid washed over.

The bodies of different races of maidens stored in the glass jars also fell out.

Matthew saw clearly.

As those bodies left the immersion of the special liquid and the fully sealed environment, their skin surfaces instantly began to collapse, melt, and eventually both skin and flesh dissolved into the air.

Finally, all that remained was lifeless skeletons!

Matthew observed.

Each glass jar housed the body of a young woman, all very young, with decent physical condition, but their souls were nowhere to be found.

Knowledge and expertise from the domain of necromancy told him.

These bodies were not man-made products of "Clone" spells, but truly physical forms of intelligent life!

Most were human.

A smaller portion were fairies, Orcs, elves, and female creatures from other astral races.

Clearly.

These shells were all collected by Dania herself as hosts for soul parasitism.

As for the original owners of these bodies.

They probably became the Spirit of Aversion destroyed earlier by Matthew!

"Not only are there shells serving as soul containers, but also emotion cores..."

Matthew quickly swung his fist.

Though his movements seemed Reckless, filled with vengeful emotions, he did not forget to observe the situation inside the glass jars while disrupting Dania’s setup.

Apart from those shocking shells that caught one’s attention.

He also found colorful crystal balls in those jars.

Each crystal ball contained a pure flame within.

This flame was not an ordinary thing.

But rather the fire of desires representing extreme emotions!

"I see."

"The reason Dania could maintain relative sanity was because she stripped all emotions from the main body of her soul."

"She did not transform into a Liches as I imagined, but took an even more dangerous path!"

Matthew’s heart stirred.

He reached out his hand, wanting to quickly pick up the crystal balls rolling on the ground.

Sadly, when his Pale Hand touched those crystal balls.

The latter automatically exploded with a bang!

"Contact-triggered trap."

Matthew frowned.

This was a spell mechanism Dania pre-set on the crystal balls, detonating automatically when touched—

Likely intended to prevent anyone from stealing her fire of desires.

Thus affecting her soul’s main body.

But now.

These fires of desires, having lost their sealing containers, could only flow toward one direction.

That is, the true hiding place of Dania’s soul!

Matthew suddenly looked toward the direction where countless fires of desires surged—

"There!"

He raised his head.

At the top of the tower, on a very dimly lit pillar, he saw a faintly flickering Black Light!

It was a black cat.

A black cat enveloped in a dense aura of death.

The black cat’s body was mostly decayed, but Matthew sensed an extremely dangerous aura from it.

A plain cat tag hung from the cat’s neck.

On it was engraved the name "Ferlog".

"This is Dania’s pet, the undead cat Ferlog..."

"And Dania’s soul is hiding in Ferlog’s cat tag!"

Matthew felt stirred.

He was about to rush forward to seize the undead cat.

But suddenly a figure appeared at the stairs:

"What are you doing?"

"Why have you caused such chaos here?" fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

Maid Emma angrily lifted her skirt and rushed up.

The look in Emma’s eyes directed at Matthew was full of questioning, anger, and disappointment.

Matthew barely had time to respond to her.

He wanted to lock onto the undead cat’s trail, but with Emma’s interruption, the black cat disappeared right from under Matthew’s nose!

Matthew hadn’t even blinked.

Yet only a brief lapse in his Focus resulted in losing the coordinates and aura of the undead cat!

"Leave here!"

Matthew warned Emma.

Emma seemed completely unaware of what was happening.

She strode towards Matthew, loudly shouting as she walked:

"The one who should leave is you, isn’t it?"

"I never thought you’d be a mon..."

Emma’s voice suddenly froze.

Because at that moment.

A black cat silently emerged from the shadow beside the pillar.

It leapt onto Emma’s back, then lowered its head to bite her neck, sucking slightly, and Emma’s body deflated like a leaked balloon, instantly collapsing!

"Ah... I..."

One second ago.

Emma’s lips were still trembling.

In the next breath.

Her lips, teeth, and facial skin sequentially fell to the floor, making grotesque crunching sounds!

In the eerie silence.

The black cat lay on Emma’s skin greedily sucking.

Soon.

The once flesh-and-blood maid was nowhere to be seen, leaving only a coarse human skin, along with scattered hair and teeth on the ground.

The black cat lazily lay on the human skin and burped.

With a casual swipe of its paw, it revealed the skull beneath the human skin.
