Chapter 61: Chapter 60: Advanced Combat Power

Although the strength of Udi’s dragon body was not weak, he had been born for less than three years. According to the dragon’s age, it would be a few more months before he could leave the dragonling stage and enter the juvenile dragon stage.

Currently, most of the strength of his dragon body comes from the enhancement by the Banquet, with only a small part from his original growth.

His achievements in magic were also average. Although his professional level as a mage had reached Level 5, he had not learned a single middle-tier magic. Apart from the Water Element Enhancement Technique, which had reached mastery and could slightly boost his strength, his proficiency in other spells was quite low, making the improvement in strength very limited.

However, this was only because the time spent on learning and cultivation was short. As time goes on and with more accumulation, magic would certainly become a significant part of Udi’s strength.

As thoughts raced through Udi’s mind, below, the strong from both sides clashed.

There was a Bone Blood Warrior and a Caster. The former faced Mondo and Kadan, while the latter was confronted by the White Feathered Owl-tailed Mother Crane alone.

As for Shiji...its strength wasn’t as strong as the White Feathered Owl-tailed Mother Crane, nor could it support with long-range spells like Kadan, nor did it have Mondo’s terrifying recovery ability, so it crafted a rather cunning battle plan for itself.

Holding a curved saber in hand, with a spare on the back, it roamed the battlefield. Whenever it spotted a mid-level professional among the Wild Dwarves, it sneaked over, coordinating with monster warriors to seize an opportunity for a surprise stab.

The two curved sabers Shiji used were customized weapons from the Higlind family of the human Kas Duchy. After all, where would the monster races find the technology and good weapon materials needed to craft such fine, sharp, and solid weapons?

Watching Shiji’s sly battle tactics lead to the deaths of four or five mid-level professionals among the Wild Dwarves, Udi couldn’t help but nod his head.

Very good.

Although the cost was the lives of dozens of monster warriors. Acting as bait, they stood little chance of survival against the mid-level professional strength of Wild Dwarf warriors.

Despite the high battle loss ratio, from the perspectives of Shiji and Udi, it was still a considerable gain.

After all, can the growth cycles of the Wild Dwarves be the same as those of these low-level monsters?

Wild Dwarves generally have a lifespan ranging from two hundred and fifty to four hundred and fifty years (which can increase further upon becoming Legendary), and they don’t reach adulthood until they’re eighty. Although their lifespan isn’t as long as that of dragons, high elves, or giants, compared to humans, they belong to the category of long-lived races.

As for goblins and kobolds, there’s no need for much discussion. Given enough food, the former births a litter about every half month, while the latter does so monthly, maturing quickly in just a few months.

In contrast, their lifespans are relatively short, with most kobolds and goblins living only about thirty to forty years. However, the lifespan of Dragon Vein Kobolds and Dragon Vein Goblins, altered by Dragon Blood, can be extended to varying degrees depending on the dragon blood’s level and concentration, from a few decades to several hundred years.

"Ow! It hurts, Mondo hurts!"

Below, Mondo, clutching what was left of his head, howled madly, swinging his wolf fang club frantically.

In front, a Bone Blood Warrior slightly over a meter tall, with his bare upper body painted with various blood-colored totem patterns, dodged Mondo’s frenzied attacks with a cold expression.

He moved leisurely and casually. In his hand, a giant axe larger than his body was dripping thick blood.

Evidently, Mondo’s terrifying wounds were inflicted by him.

Mondo’s biological level had also improved over this period, rising from Tier Six High to Tier Seven Initial, with his height and build barely reaching five meters. Combined with the giant demon’s abnormally strong recovery ability, ordinary mid-level professional Wild Dwarves were no match for it.

But this Bone Blood Warrior before him inflicted such terrifying wounds on Mondo in just a few moves.

Without a doubt, this Bone Blood Warrior was definitely a high-level professional!

Behind, Kadan was shocked to see Mondo gravely injured and began to chant a spell.

Second Ring·Water Element Enhancement Technique!

A brilliant blue light enveloped Mondo, providing him with dual boosts of power and defense.

Kadan’s casting drew the Bone Blood Warrior’s attention, and upon meeting Kadan’s gaze, the Bone Blood Warrior immediately abandoned the troublesome task of finishing off Mondo and instead charged towards Kadan, the caster.

Solving the caster before the fight makes things at least half as easy!

The speed of the advanced warrior, under the boost of blood qi, was terrifying. Within a few quick flashes, he shortened a vast distance. Yet, Kadan wasn’t a fragile mage; having obtained the Power of the Wudi Dragon Vein for nearly a year, his biological level had just recently broken from Tier Four High to Level 5.

Through sheer physical prowess, Kadan desperately widened the gap between himself and the approaching Bone Blood Warrior. The warrior, seeing the burst of speed from Kadan, showed a hint of surprise in his eyes, but soon sneered, as his blood qi energy surged and exploded, clearly employing some enhancing secret technique to transform himself into a blood light swiftly attacking towards Kadan.

Seeing the opponent’s burst of speed, Kadan’s eyes contracted.

No escape, there’s no escaping.

Since there was no escape, the old fellow Kadan, who had lived for decades, swiftly altered his tactics, sacrificing movement speed. He began rapidly chanting an incantation, and in less than 0.3 seconds, a black light shot at the Bone Blood Warrior.

One-Ring Weakness Technique!

The Bone Blood Warrior slightly frowned. Although he didn’t sense much magic power from the black light, he avoided it to prevent any contact.

Kadan wasn’t surprised that the Weakness Technique missed; after all, the opponent was a high-level warrior, and Kadan didn’t expect to hit—it was merely to disrupt the opponent’s speed.

By now, Mondo had also come to his senses, clutching his partially healed head while huffing and puffing as he ran towards Kadan. Yet, judging by his running speed, it seemed Kadan would need at least three lives to stall long enough for Mondo’s successful support.

Just as the situation was on the verge of dramatically reversing, Udi, who had been cautiously watching for any hidden strength from the Brown Forest Clan, could no longer hold back.

Having reached this grim stage, with casualties among the ordinary warriors from both sides exceeding three figures, and losses among the mid-level warriors also significant, given the orderly and neutral nature of the Wild Dwarves, if there were indeed strong ones kept behind, they would surely have come out to suppress everything.

"It seems the real strong ones of the Brown Forest Clan are all out; the strongest left behind are that high-level Bone Blood Warrior and high-level Wild Dwarf caster below," Udi thought as he dove swiftly, opening his ferocious dragon’s mouth. The dragon breath he had been holding back, without any hesitation, spewed forth in a ghastly green acidic torrent towards the Bone Blood Warrior below, enveloped in blood qi energy. As it approached, the acid transformed into a rain curtain, with corrosive droplets carrying tremendous kinetic energy pounding the area covered by the dragon breath.

The sudden acid dragon breath sweeping the ground stunned the high-level Wild Dwarf Warrior, evidently not expecting a Black Dragon to be hiding and ambushing.

"Could it be the Queen of Darkness?"

For a moment, the expression of the high-level warrior was filled with despair.

Hidden in the darkness, Udi, with his massive musculature and rapid diving speed, spanned more than twenty-one meters in wingspan from his just over ten-meter body, making his dragon body appear immense. Combined with the full-force unleashing of dragon might, this caused the high-level Bone Blood Warrior to momentarily panic, unable to discern the true strength of the Black Dragon.
