"Alright, I understand. Why are you being so sentimental nowadays? Has old age caught up to you?" Grandpa Song butted in, changing the solemn atmosphere.

Though he has some dissatisfaction towards Song Chengfeng’s choice of woman. In the end, Grandpa Song just swallowed his opinion. It’s not that he dislikes Qi Jianyi. It was just that her cold attitude has somewhat affected his view on her.

"Jianyi is on her way back." Song Chengfeng added in. As he realised that both of his grandparents and also his mother has silently accepted their relationship, he felt relieved and began to show off.

He wanted to show off to Grandpa He that he knows things that the old man doesn’t. Such as, Qi Jianyi coming back to the capital today.

"She’s on her way? I thought she said she’s going to stay for another day?" Grandpa He, oblivious to Song Chengfeng’s subtle bragging, showed a surprise look.

Song Chengfeng turned to look at his grandpa before answering, "Well, I promised to go to City A to see her today." He didn’t elaborate further but everyone in the room knows the end of his words.

What else was it if not because of grandpa Song’s antics that caused Song Chengfeng to push back his plans.

"Hey, are you blaming me? You brat! I really fell ill, okay!" Grandpa Song defended himself. There’s no way he would admit that he faked his sickness just so his grandson would come and visit him.

Grandpa He looked at him as if saying how childish his action was. At the very least, grandpa He never faked illness just so Qi Jianyi could come to visit him. But the old man before him was really willing to go such lengths just so his grandson would come to see him.

"Then, where is she now? Has she called you?" Grandpa He ignored his friend and began to question Song Chengfeng.

Before Song Chengfeng could answer, a ringing tone came from his phone. He took a glance and a smile unconsciously crept up on his face, making everyone in the room raise their brows curiously.

"It’s Jianyi." He said, showing Grandpa He the name that appeared on his phone screen.

Song Chengfeng wanted to walk out of the room to answer the calls but he was met with Grandpa He and Grandpa Song eager eyes. The former wants to talk to his granddaughter while the latter is curious if Qi Jianyi has really changed.

Silently complaining in his heart, Song Chengfeng in the end accepted his fate. With a sigh, he accepted the call and turned on the speaker mode.

As soon as the call got connected, an elegant sound came from the other side, making Grandpa He smile happily.

"Are you busy?" Qi Jianyi asked. She thought Song Chengfeng was busy since it took him a while to answer her call.

Song Chengfeng immediately replied, "I’m not busy. I’m at the hospital with your grandpa."

"Which one?" Qi Jianyi who was currently driving furrowed her brows when she heard his replies.

She was confused for a moment. After all, she had two grandfathers but forgot for a while that Grandpa Qi had not known about her relationship yet.

"Grandpa He." Song Chengfeng didn’t find her question strange and replied to her casually.

"Grandpa with you? Did he come to visit your grandpa?" Qi Jianyi continued to ask.

"Well, he just arrived." He answered softly and changed the topic to her "What about you? Are you driving right now?"

"Hmm, I’m on my way now. I thought there would be huge traffic but there’s barely any cars right now. I can probably arrive home sooner than expected." She answered with a cheerful tone. After all, who would like to be stuck in traffic?

"Just because there’s no cars doesn’t mean you can drive faster. Xiao Yi, drive carefully and don’t over speed. It’s dangerous." Before Song Chengfeng could remind her, a deep reprimanded voice cut him off.

Not prepared by another person’s voice, Qi Jianyi was caught off guard and turned to look at the LED screen. The screen still displays Song Chengfeng’s name indicating that the person she was calling currently was him.

But the voice she just heard clearly belonged to her grandfather.

"Grandpa?" She softly whispered. Her voice was lace with curiosity. How come her grandfather could reply to her when she was obviously talking with Song Chengfeng just now?

Unless, Song Chengfeng turned on the speaker mode while they were talking. Unbeknownst to Qi Jianyi, her little guess was right and every words she said earlier was heard by not only her grandfather but also Song Chengfeng’s grandparents and mother.

"Who else is there but me? Xiao Yi, do you hear what grandpa just said? Drive carefully and don’t ever think of speeding!" Grandpa He didn’t forget to advise her again.

Realising that Grandpa He really did hear what she just said, Qi Jianyi let out a nervous laugh.

At first, she just intended to tease Song Chengfeng. Wanting to hear him nagging at her as usual. But who would have thought that the nagging she wished to hear didn’t come but her grandfather’s reprimand came instead?

"Grandpa, I was just joking with Chengfeng. How can I drive carelessly? I am a good citizen who always abides by the rules. Grandpa, are you visiting Grandpa Song?" Knowing that if she didn’t admit her mistake her grandfather would continue to nag at her, Qi Jianyi hurriedly tries to change the topic.

But,who is Grandpa He? He has eaten more salt than Qi Jianyi and knows many tactics of distraction. Though he knew she was just trying to divert his attention, Grandpa He didn’t want to disappoint his granddaughter and forgot about all of the nagging that was about to come out before and answer her obvious question.

"I came to visit that old man but he’s fine, not even sick, just faking his illness. Xiao Yi, you know what? That old man song is really a hypocrite. Later when you come to meet him and if he dares to say anything hurtful, just ignore it. There’s something wrong in his brain, so don’t take his words seriously." Grandpa He took this chance to slander Grandpa Song.

Since that old man Song dares to frown at his granddaughter, he would let Qi Jianyi give him a cold shoulder.

Hearing that, Grandpa Song frowned fiercely and immediately responded. "What nonsense are you talking about? Since when did I fake my illness? Hypocrite, you said? You—"
