The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 612: All glory to Genesis
Chapter 612: All glory to Genesis
Alix was feeling proud of herself for not letting her gluttonous system eat Chin Chin’s system, thanks to it, she knew just where to find Caishen. If it had gobbled her system up back then, she would be in trouble now.
His captors had managed to get him out of the city and sneak him to a village in Yunnan, a place that nobody could have thought of when searching for him. Who would have thought a group of courtyard houses was the headquarters of the dark side in the country? She certainly would not have thought it. All along, she thought they had it in a large building somewhere in one of the brightly lit modern cities.
More disturbing was the sight which she was met with when she sneaked into the gathering of system hosts that were members of the dark side. It was as if she had walked into a church___, not a good church like the one she visited in the Christmas season, this was one of those churches straight out of an animation were people worshiped some kind of dark deity. frёewebηovel.cѳm
A cult! She exclaimed internally...another way to describe the bizarre behavior she was witnessing was a cult. Everyone was dressed in dark robes with animal masks on their faces and fervently cheering on the person that was speaking at the front. It was a man that had had the crowd riled up with his inspiring speech that he was delivering with gusto.
By the time Alix arrived, the speaker had already started so she found him half-way through his speech.
"Locate my husband." she ordered the system.
She wanted to record this gathering, it could be used as evidence or teaching purposes.
"We were selected to dominate this earth." He screamed and others cheered.
He jumped up and down for some reason, a move Alix found unnecessary.
"The bureau is holding our sisters and brothers prisoner, they think we are fools and we don’t know that they want to control us like puppets. What do we say to that?"
The crowd chanted back uniformly, "Boooo...."
"Now, they are deceiving you, they are trying to deceive all of us with the whispers of a system host as the next world bureau president. They are promising change, fairness and justice for their wrongs against us. But we are not blind, we know what they are doing, they are presenting a puppet under their control to mislead you. They are using Tai Alix as a counter against Genesis because they have seen how powerful we have become and are afraid of us.
It is time for us to reject the lies and come out of the darkness. We have to send a message and show them that we are not weak and we shall not be stopped. System hosts are greater than ordinary humans, we are the chosen ones and this world can only be ruled by us. Only we can restore order and return justice to this unjust world that abandoned us until Genesis came along." The speaker invoked excitement in the crowd with his passionate speech.
The environment became charged and loud support for the crazy words the speaker was spewing multiplied.
"Take a look at yourselves and remind yourselves of your past. Who were you before you became a system host? What were you before you became one of the chosen? I was a garbage collector, I picked up trash to feed myself and support my family. It was not glorious but for a while it was enough to put food on the table. My small family of four lived honestly without harming anyone but hard times came and ruined us. My daughter died because I could not afford to treat her cancer. I applied to many organizations and begged for help but no one rescued us. Where was the bureau when I needed help paying those hospital bills?
My son’s arms were permanently broken by rich kids for fun, he threw himself off a building and the authorities were unhelpful, there was no justice for him. Because of their parent’s wealth and connections, the rich kids got away with it. My wife killed herself because she couldn’t take it anymore. Then, I became a system host and the bureau suddenly came along offering me financial help as if they were my saviors. What good was their money to me at this point?
When I started taking revenge on the rich people that ruined my family’s life, the bureau sent their dogs after me and labeled me a criminal. Tell me, am I a criminal for seeking for justice?"
"No...."
"Impossible."
"You are a hero."
Various loud voices answered his question.
"So what if I killed a few humans, was the world going to miss them? I was condemned because some of those I killed happened to be children but how many of us have had our lives ruined by violent children or those that come from the wealthy families? Does the bureau think children are innocent just because of their age? I did not kill children, I killed monsters, we system hosts kill monsters, that is our duty. We can kill those who are weak because it is the way of the world, the strong rule the weak. We are not the dark side, we are the right side."
The crowd applauded and clapped, sharing a crazy sense of unity in the thirst for blood and desire for lawlessness.
"Is it wrong for us to use our power to suppress those that suppressed us?" he asked.
Again, similar answers were given, all of them declaring their support for his actions.
"How many of you here have been labeled criminals for similar reasons to mine?" he pointed at the crowd and asked.
Many hands in the room went up and to fit in, Alix raised hers as well because people were looking around to see if they all happened to be in the same boat.
"We are all the same brothers and sisters; the world has wronged us gravely." The speaker that Alix was now ready to call a preacher softened his voice and added a woeful quality to it. He put a hand on his chest and bent forward like he was extremely pained as a result of the injustice everyone had suffered.
"It is not wrong for us to want a better world and we will create it by all means possible. Your children should inherit a better world than the one we did. They should enjoy wealth because we are the chosen ones with systems and that means we are better than others, we deserve wealth and power more than others. We should make the rules and they should follow or die."
He finished off in a fervent way again filling the crowd with passion.
"All glory to Genesis." He squealed out like a pig and shook his body as if he was having a spasm.
The crowd, with the exception of Alix repeated after him, some of them chanting it emotionally, over and over as if it was a prayer. Alix had never seen anything like this before in her life, not even at Zhang Bo’s fan meetings. These people were zealots, brainwashed sheep.
